Adobe Audition Review

Adobe AuditionIn my opinion, Adobe Audition is the standard in recording software.

Not only is it loaded with seemingly endless tools to help create a finished product that sounds amazing, but it is very user-friendly.

I'm not a software guru by any stretch of the imagination, but Adobe Audition makes my production sound as if I were a studio master.

Adobe Audition Does It All And More

Whether it is cutting out a pesky breath, layering voice-over on top of various music beds, or piecing together sound effects, Adobe Audition can do it all and more.

Having trouble popping those "p's?" No worries, Adobe Audition can clear that right up.

I actually look forward to projects, with great anticipation for what cool thing I can do next with this awesome software and am constantly finding new tricks or buttons that help make things even easier and faster. Adobe Audition also has a well-stocked supply of tools that can give my voice that deep "boss-jock" timbre, or add a touch of clarity that can make me sound younger.

Whatever is needed, I've found that Adobe Audition has it, and that I can make it happen.

I love the functionality of recording in either mono or stereo, of being able to piece together a seemingly endless number of tracks, and to zero-in on the tiniest millisecond of a recording and cut or add-in as needed. I've saved countless hours not having to re-do an entire read with Adobe Audition's ease at editing what needs to be taken out and what I'd like to save.

Yes, there are many other recording software programs. There are some cheaper, and some more expensive. But for me, it's Adobe Audition hands down.

  • Adobe Audition is just an overpriced version of Cool Edit Pro. The behemoth that is Adobe purchased Cool Edit from Syntrillium Software
in 2003, added a few bells and whistles and jacked the price up to go with its other programs. Not my idea of progress. I still use Cool Edit and love it.

    • I really liked the article on the Adobe soundbooth, still using it's surface tools and would like to learn more details about how this fab software works. How do I soften the "p's" and tone down the "k's" any advice would be appreciated!
