Arthur Petrenko, Marketing Director, of TechnoPark agreed to answer a few questions about their experience at Voices.com and how they've used the service to find, select and hire talent.
Recently Arthur completed a project at Voices.com and hired Lyle Scott. Read more on TechnoPark's hiring experience.
How has Voices.com helped you with your project needs?
My company works as a general contractor in the software development business. The key benefit we offer to our customers is a unique database of programmers worldwide. We find and validate talented engineers and offer their services to our clients. The majority of these programmers are located in non-English speaking countries. Since our model of work is very new and unique it took much time for explanation of it to our potential programmers. We understood the necessity of a short, simple and very easy-to-understand video presentation. Voices.com helped us to find the right voice talent for such a presentation.
We created a text script for our presentation (6 slides, 800 words) and posted it to Voices.com. We got many responses from voice talents. Few of them were suitable for our business concept. We selected Lyle Scott because of the price offered. We got the result in 2 days and compiled the presentation without any problems.
How did you select the talent?
First of all - the voice, then the price. We had an expectation to spend certain amount of money for this work (up to $300) and we wanted to have the voice related to our branding and style (30-35 y.o., business person, self-confident, strong).
Did you use the Featured Talent Directory or browse the talent search engine?
No, we didn't use it. It looked much easier to post the job and get responses.
Did you contact any talent directly?
Yes, we talked with Lyle Scott and a couple of others. Actually, such a contact was redundant since Voices.com provides enough functionality for the automation of communication process.
What challenges did you face using the Voices.com system to find talent?
No problems at all. Actually, before we came to Voices.com we visited two other sites with similar services. Voices.com's graphic interface looks perfect and professional. It's easy, straight-forward and easy to use. We're software developers and we like the systems that are created professionally. That's why we started to work with Voices.com
We didn't have a goal to hire anyone. We wanted to get a voice. So, I don't consider Voices.com as a hiring service. I feel like we purchased the voice narration from Voices.com. In other words, if you were to say to me that you will give me the contact of the person and I have to deal with him/her directly I wouldn't buy this. You guys are giving the service of voice recording, not finding talents.
We did encounter a minor issue with the status of the job (I released payment early) , but it was immediately resolved by a support person in live chat. By the way, this live chat is a great tool on your site.
How would you describe your overall experience with the site?
I didn't know before how to create such a professional voice narration for my business. Voices.com made it for me.
I would hire the same or different voice talent - doesn't matter. I will definitely come back to Voices.com
I will also make certain to recommend Voices.com to any of my business contacts who may be in need of similar services.
