Anthony Whalen of MARSWorks agreed to answer a few questions about their experience at Voices.com and how they've used the service to find, select and hire talent.

How has Voices.com helped you with your project needs?
I required a short voice-over for a rich media online advertisement. Typically it is quite costly to rent a studio and hire a voice talent for a small (30 second) voice clip. With Voices.com I found a cost-effective way to get this done without the hassle and expense of an in-studio recording.
How did you select the talent?
I was looking for a mature female voice with a real sincere quality. I searched the database at voices.com and listened to many samples with ease. Eventually, I found what I was looking for when I came across Kelli Casey. She seemed to have the perfect characteristics for my project. I contacted her to get an estimate she assured me that she can make my quick turnaround time and that a high quality MP3 file would not be a problem.
What challenges did you face using the Voices.com system to find talent?
None. Kelli was extremely professional and the quality of the recording was as well. In the end, she provided me 3 takes on the script which allowed me to pick the one with the best feel for my project.
How would you describe your overall experience with the site?
I will certainly use Voices.com in the future. There are some cases where I still see the benefit of having a studio ...especially if there are multiple talents interacting. But for most cases Voices.com save time, money, and opens the door to a world of talent who have their own recording capabilities.
