I'm Impressed!

Roger TremaineAfter an embarrassingly large number of auditions with no results, I finally get this e-mail from someone saying they're interested in my voice for their project. Me. Well, after getting myself upright again and re-checking the spelling of the name, I responded immediately and worked for some very nice folks.

I must say, I was more afraid of the whole Voices.com process involving SurePay and all than of doing the job. My fears were totally unfounded. The Voices.com system walked me through each step and it was effortless.

The added bonus was being included on the "Recently hired list" on the home page which caused my "listens" numbers to over double.

I'm impressed. I might stick around for a bit longer.

Thanks Steph and your wonderful staff.

Keep it up,
Roger Tremaine

Debbie Munro's Success Story

When I heard that there was a contest about testimonies for Voices.com Success stories, I knew I had to be the one because I am, at least in my opinion, a walking success story for Voices.com. I got my career started with Voices.com. I started in this industry about 15 years ago, cumulatively, and I really went full boar into the online voice over market about 8 years ago. In that time, I met up and found Voices.com.

Since that time, I now have a full-time roster of clients to choose from and I owe so much of it to Voices.com.

Yes, I had to be a good marketer, yes I had to do a ton of stuff but voices.com allowed me a hub. It allowed me an area to audition up to 10-15 auditions a day so it is overwhelming to me what Voices.com offers. And then they just started growing, and growing, and growing and it wasn't just the auditions anymore. They were personable, they attended all the events, we got to meet them in person, they reached out to us... they reached out to us and cared and they didn't have to. They could have stayed up there as a hidden entity and we could have kept paying them for our yearly service and kept getting what we get from them because it's enough... but they didn't stop there.

They have VOX Daily, which is daily information that educates you and it helps you grow. They have podcasts and experts and coach's corners and all sorts of information that the talent can grow with.

Not only have I used them as a voice talent but as a coach. I'm a voice coach and I recommend Voices.com all the time, ALL THE TIME, whether they know it or not. You can't help but to recognize it because it is the best educational tool you could ever purchase. Where else can you get that kind of auditions everyday, learn to voice them, listen to client specs, read between the lines, edit them, upload them, and then hope to get a job. And even in you didn't get a job in one year's time, well, that tells you that you need some more training by the way, even if you didn't get a job in one year's time, that's the best education you could have ever asked for at a very good rate. Less than what I charge for a full weekend.

We need Voices.com. We can't survive this industry as a full-time voice talent without sites like Voices.com.

I went through a time where I wasn't auditioning for a couple of years in a row here, just the last few years in fact, and I was getting a little discouraged because sure I was getting lots of auditions, I have 7 agents, I have several other opportunities for voice work and I have tons of return clients, but I tend to coach a lot. So I was finding myself balancing more coaching than I was voicing so I decided one day to just have a two-week stint of just auditioning, and where did I go? Of course, to Voices.com!

So I started auditioning and it was fantastic. Well, in fact it was so fantastic I booked a job the next day after the first day. Within the following three weeks, I booked 7 jobs. 7 jobs! It was only really about 3 days of auditioning over a 2-week time span and out of that I booked 7 or 8 jobs, and 3 of those jobs were over $3,000 so they weren't little tiny jobs.

I don't have the time anymore to audition for the little jobs so I like that the rates are all there for me because that tells me not to audition for it, or to go for it, or to take the time off to make sure I do it.

Voices.com has it set up just right. I mean they know exactly what they're doing and you can tell that they really care, and all I ever care about is associating myself around people who care about my results, because the more people that care about my results, the better results I will get and Voices.com is that and more.

I want to take a special moment as well to thank Stephanie and David because they have done so much for our voice community. They've let themselves be known, they've become a big part of us, and they've made themselves our family. I just think that they've worked so hard, and I know they've been acknowledged, but I just want to acknowledge them again and tell them how grateful we all are for what you do for us and how accessible you make this industry for us.

If it wasn't for what you're doing, we wouldn't be doing it either, so it's a great team.

I'm honoured to give this testimony. I hope they use it, and even if they don't, I hope you hear it because it is 100% truth. It is without hesitation that I would recommend Voices.com to anyone.

Thank you guys. You're the best.

Voices.com member for way too many years,

Debbie Munro

SurePay Made A Real Difference

I've had a Premium membership for nearly a year. When I first started my membership I landed a couple of jobs through Voices.com, but until recently haven't had much chance to submit auditions.

Tim McLaughlinA couple of weeks ago I was hired through an audition submitted through Voices.com. The client used the SurePay system which was new for me.

I'm quite impressed by how smoothly the SurePay system worked. The client and I communicated through email on a couple of things, but the rest of the job was handled through the Voices.com site. It made things very easy.

Thanks Voices.com.

Dollar for Dollar, Pound for Pound, Voices.com is the Best Thing in Cyberspace!

Bob BrewsterAbout eight years ago, I kept hearing new voices on local t.v. and radio spots that I didn't recognize. A little detective work on my part and I soon discovered that voices were now being hired from far and wide for my market area.

I should have realized it a few years earlier when I was in a session recording four local radio commercials for a car dealer.

The engineer asked me to take a break after recording the first spot, so he could mix it and send it off to the station. I assumed he was calling a courier to have a 'tape' sent over. After the session the engineer had shown me what he'd done and it literally 'blew me away'.

Thanks to high speed Internet he was able to send an mp3 file directly to the station. While driving home after the session I heard the commercial on the radio that I had recorded less than an hour ago.

"Technology, what a beautiful cutting edge thing." I'd thought to myself. Quickly I made the decision that when it comes to technology you either embrace it, or get left behind.

I became a member of Voices.com in 2005 and have never looked back.

Since the site was revamped last November it now has a host of other features that are very helpful and definitely put Voices.com a giant step above the competition. The fact that my web page has a visitor counter that lets me know exactly how many people have visited my site is a great asset to me.

I use my Voices.com web page to solicit new business all the time, and this way I can see that my efforts are bearing fruit.

As someone who is fortunate enough to do voice work full time, it's very reassuring to know I have a reliable partner in Voices.com who are constantly looking for new ways to make their service even better.

Dollar for dollar, pound for pound, Voices.com is the best thing in cyberspace!

A Great Introduction into the Modern World of Voice Over Work

Randy AndersonHi,

My name is Randy Anderson, I joined voices.com at the end of April. I was in the VO world and broadcasting in the 80's to 1993. I left to pursue another career, (Fire Dept). I wanted to enter back into the VO world but knew many things had changed. I came across Voices.com, as well as other voice marketplaces, and knew right away that Voices.com was at the top of the game. From day one I have received help and direction, along with encouragement, to start to put my VO career back on track.

So fast forward to today (6/21/09) I have auditioned for many jobs, have been considered for jobs and landed an audio book job (70,000 words), which I just finished and the client has asked for me to start another audio book for his company.

During our uploads, we found there was a problem with the larger files, voices.com researched it out and discovered it was a problem with their server. Voices.com went to work and fixed the problem, keeping me and ultimately my client updated on the progress. This is what puts Voices.com at the lead of all voice over marketplaces.

Voices.com is truly committed to the VO Talents and will do everything possible so each and everyone who is a part of Voices.com is successful.

Thanks again for great introduction back into the modern world of VO work,

Randy Anderson
