English Butler Ring Tones App

CK Headshot.jpegVoices.com is always very easy and intuitive.

Although there's an option for the voice seekers to add that they're looking for a British voice, nowadays a lot of people think that the traditional British accent is Cockney as opposed to the Queen's English because of the Geico ads!

Also, some folk don't know they want a British accent until they hear it, so I get to do every audition just in case!

I always try to interact with the clients as much as possible so I really know what they want. I have to say I think it's a shame the majority of voice seekers don't give any direction in the initial audition process.

My most recent client was a repeat customer and told me to improvise. The voice I was doing was for an over the top English butler for a mobile app, somewhat like John Cleese from Monty Python or Fawlty Towers. How can you not have fun doing that!

Project 'Done and Dusted' in Nothing Flat!

debbieirwin.jpgVoices.com is easy and effective!

I auditioned for a voice mail job and got hired. I expected to get a new script perhaps and some direction from the client. There was nothing.

He took my audio from the audition and paid me. Short and sweet!

It's so gratification knowing that my audition was exactly what the client was looking for and he must have been so happy to have his project 'done and dusted' in nothing flat!

I Have Officially Recorded Every Word in the English Language on Voices.com!

Collins.jpgVoices.com has been good to me from the very beginning, now accounting for at least a quarter of my new and repeat business, but my most recent client provided me with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to leave a lasting legacy in the voiceover industry.

In July, a job was posted for public auditions to record every word entry in The American Heritage Dictionary for use online and in education. I duly submitted my proposal, and was honored to be selected for this challenging task.

After more than a month of hard work, daily uploads, and shock at how many bizarre words are actually considered part of our dynamic language, I completed the job before departing on a well-deserved vacation. 2006 pages, and 1 very happy client later, I can likely claim the distinction of being the only talent in the world to have recorded and been paid for every word in the English language......and all thanks to Voices.com!
