It Pays to Watch Commercials!

Awhile back I auditioned for a commercial for an exercise program. I gave them my best "fitness style" read, with a little more energy than I usually use.
I didn't get the job, but the other day I happened to see the commercial on TV, and heard the narrator they chose. They went with a much more conversational read, which is actually closer to what I usually do.
The next day, an audition notice came in for another fitness product. This time, I decided to go conversational. Turns out, I made the right call...I got the job!
So the next time I'm watching TV and they go to commercial, maybe I'll skip the trip to the fridge and do a little research...it paid off on this project!
