I Have Booked 20 Projects as a Direct Result of My Affiliation With Voices.com (within 4 months!)
- Written by Stephanie
- November 18, 2009
Hi Stephanie,
Just wanted to share some Buzz with you and the gang.
I have been a member of Voices.com for just four months. As of this writing, I have now booked 20 projects as a direct result of my affiliation with the website. Nearly three-quarters of these were through the open cattle-call audition process and SurePay system, while the others were from people who (gasp) just happened to "find" me here.
Membership with Voices.com is a no-brainer and with each new job that comes along, I kick myself for not taking the plunge sooner.
Thank you very much for your fantastic customer service and easy access to the online marketplace.

I worked with Ed Roman of Ghostfire Games for a number of characters in Rage of the Gladiator and provided the voice for Ixthid. The client was fun to work with, offers excellent direction, and is very professional.
Also, Aaron Linne of B&H Publishing is great to work with, knows what he likes, and is a true professional. The trailer should be out soon... can't wait!
Lastly, I got to play the part of a talking, wise cracking french fry for Clay LaFargue's company.
Lots of fun!

Voices.com is Not Just a Service, it is a Partner.
- Written by Stephanie

I sometimes think that no one is listening. I submit so many auditions and that is the end of it. But, just like a golfer that hits a perfect drive, sometimes everything clicks: the audition is well received, the quote is in range, and the client communicates exactly what their needs are for the job. And in back of it all is Voices.com.
I'm on board with five different services but when renewal times come up again, that number is dropping to one, and that one is Voices.com. The people there have always answered my questions and addressed my concerns, not with some one size fits all answer, but with an answer that is specific to me.
When I dropped out of the service for four months last year they got back to me in a way that showed that they had personally looked at my site and listened to my demos. The suggestions they made were on the money and now, I am seeing something more than light at the end of the tunnel because of those suggestions.
This most recent job was for a casino in the western part of the states. From the time that the client bought my voice, Voices.com was right there with business agreements, milestone charts, etc, etc, etc.
Bottom line is that although I am physically located some nine hundred miles south of Texas, deep in the heart of Mexico, the programs and people of Voices.com keep me feeling as if I had an assistant sitting at the next desk taking care of all the minutiae needed to bring a project to fruition.
Funds were released this afternoon right on time. Voices.com is not just a service, it is a partner.

Posting a Job and Working with Talent at Voices.com is a Breeze!
- Written by Stephanie

Thanks to the folks at Voices.com for running such a site. Posting the job and working with the talent is a breeze!
The only issue - not really! - was the 111 responses in a 3-day period. It was too many to audition in the time available. So, only the first 30 in the list were actually auditioned for the 3 voices we needed.
It's great that this resource is available. Getting auditions and finished files back like nothing before!

I would like to express what a great place Voices.com is for non-English talents
- Written by Laurynda
- November 5, 2009
Being a Japanese VO in the international market, opportunities to get jobs is less than English VOs.
However, competitors seeking voiceover work is also less in Japan, the home country.
Being able to communicate in English and being capable of providing translation of the script is the advantage that I have over many others.
Voices.com is one of the best tools for me to spotlight my skills to get jobs.
If you are looking for Japanese or any other foreign language VO talent, what will you do?
If you can't communicate in the target language, it is sometimes impossible to find a talent within the target market (country) that you'll be able to communicate with.
Not all VO talent who are native of the target language can communicate in English. I like to think that Voices.com performs like an international airport (hub).
Clients who are looking for a right candidate fly by like an airplane carrying scripts and money. VO talents are passengers who are waiting for the right airplane to arrive.
Voices.com is the one of a few places where I can find opportunities I am
looking for or that are right for my skills.
I do not want to end up with just being "Japanese VO" who only works within Japan.
Having a tool like Voices.com, I can fly virtually all over the world where opportunities are.
One more thing I really like about Voices.com is the different membership levels.
Being non-English VO talent, there are lesser jobs in the international market. There are fewer job posts compared to English jobs, sometimes none in a few months. Voices.com gives me an option to join on monthly basis.
If I see a good job posting, I join, if no jobs are posted for a while, I ask customer service to stop my membership to prevent renewal.
I know it is such hassle for them but they always treat me like a valuable customer. I appreciate the flexibility very much. Having such an option is a great thing for us and Voices.com is the only place where such a great option is provided.
Globalization is the key marketing strategy now. I am sure the demands for non-English VO talents will increase more and more in the near future.
I would like to express how great place Voices.com is for non-English VO talents like myself.
Thank you,

My Nancy Wolfson Demo is Getting Me Bookings at Voices.com!
- Written by Stephanie
- November 2, 2009
Hi Stephanie,
I recently joined Voices.com, and wanted to share a quick success story with you!
I am a working VO actor, based out of Los Angeles, and while I've been getting work through various sources, including my agent, I wanted to branch out further to find job opportunities. My voice coach, Nancy Wolfson, recommended I get a Premium membership at Voices.com.
So I joined a couple months ago. I was busy with life, however, and didn't complete my profile right away.
Finally, I got my act together a couple weeks ago and posted my commercial and narration demos. I submitted one audition, and submitted my demo to another potential client.
A couple DAYS later, I received a message, from an interested client - who had only heard my demo, which Nancy made with me recently. We emailed back and forth a couple times and... ta-da!... I won the job!
So literally within DAYS of uploading my demo, I was hired for a job, which has paid for my premium membership!
So I just wanted to say THANK YOU for providing this avenue for voiceover actors to enhance their careers!
I look forward to many more opportunities coming my way through Voices.com (in fact, I've just responded to another person who's interested in hiring me from my demo posted on voices.com!) YAY!
Thanks so much, Stephanie!

After an embarrassingly large number of auditions with no results, I finally get this e-mail from someone saying they're interested in my voice for their project. Me. Well, after getting myself upright again and re-checking the spelling of the name, I responded immediately and worked for some very nice folks.
I must say, I was more afraid of the whole Voices.com process involving SurePay and all than of doing the job. My fears were totally unfounded. The Voices.com system walked me through each step and it was effortless.
The added bonus was being included on the "Recently hired list" on the home page which caused my "listens" numbers to over double.
I'm impressed. I might stick around for a bit longer.
Thanks Steph and your wonderful staff.
Keep it up,

Debbie Munro's Success Story
When I heard that there was a contest about testimonies for Voices.com Success stories, I knew I had to be the one because I am, at least in my opinion, a walking success story for Voices.com. I got my career started with Voices.com. I started in this industry about 15 years ago, cumulatively, and I really went full boar into the online voice over market about 8 years ago. In that time, I met up and found Voices.com.
Since that time, I now have a full-time roster of clients to choose from and I owe so much of it to Voices.com.
Yes, I had to be a good marketer, yes I had to do a ton of stuff but voices.com allowed me a hub. It allowed me an area to audition up to 10-15 auditions a day so it is overwhelming to me what Voices.com offers. And then they just started growing, and growing, and growing and it wasn't just the auditions anymore. They were personable, they attended all the events, we got to meet them in person, they reached out to us... they reached out to us and cared and they didn't have to. They could have stayed up there as a hidden entity and we could have kept paying them for our yearly service and kept getting what we get from them because it's enough... but they didn't stop there.
They have VOX Daily, which is daily information that educates you and it helps you grow. They have podcasts and experts and coach's corners and all sorts of information that the talent can grow with.
Not only have I used them as a voice talent but as a coach. I'm a voice coach and I recommend Voices.com all the time, ALL THE TIME, whether they know it or not. You can't help but to recognize it because it is the best educational tool you could ever purchase. Where else can you get that kind of auditions everyday, learn to voice them, listen to client specs, read between the lines, edit them, upload them, and then hope to get a job. And even in you didn't get a job in one year's time, well, that tells you that you need some more training by the way, even if you didn't get a job in one year's time, that's the best education you could have ever asked for at a very good rate. Less than what I charge for a full weekend.
We need Voices.com. We can't survive this industry as a full-time voice talent without sites like Voices.com.
I went through a time where I wasn't auditioning for a couple of years in a row here, just the last few years in fact, and I was getting a little discouraged because sure I was getting lots of auditions, I have 7 agents, I have several other opportunities for voice work and I have tons of return clients, but I tend to coach a lot. So I was finding myself balancing more coaching than I was voicing so I decided one day to just have a two-week stint of just auditioning, and where did I go? Of course, to Voices.com!
So I started auditioning and it was fantastic. Well, in fact it was so fantastic I booked a job the next day after the first day. Within the following three weeks, I booked 7 jobs. 7 jobs! It was only really about 3 days of auditioning over a 2-week time span and out of that I booked 7 or 8 jobs, and 3 of those jobs were over $3,000 so they weren't little tiny jobs.
I don't have the time anymore to audition for the little jobs so I like that the rates are all there for me because that tells me not to audition for it, or to go for it, or to take the time off to make sure I do it.
Voices.com has it set up just right. I mean they know exactly what they're doing and you can tell that they really care, and all I ever care about is associating myself around people who care about my results, because the more people that care about my results, the better results I will get and Voices.com is that and more.
I want to take a special moment as well to thank Stephanie and David because they have done so much for our voice community. They've let themselves be known, they've become a big part of us, and they've made themselves our family. I just think that they've worked so hard, and I know they've been acknowledged, but I just want to acknowledge them again and tell them how grateful we all are for what you do for us and how accessible you make this industry for us.
If it wasn't for what you're doing, we wouldn't be doing it either, so it's a great team.
I'm honoured to give this testimony. I hope they use it, and even if they don't, I hope you hear it because it is 100% truth. It is without hesitation that I would recommend Voices.com to anyone.
Thank you guys. You're the best.

SurePay Made A Real Difference
- Written by Stephanie

I've had a Premium membership for nearly a year. When I first started my membership I landed a couple of jobs through Voices.com, but until recently haven't had much chance to submit auditions.
A couple of weeks ago I was hired through an audition submitted through Voices.com. The client used the SurePay system which was new for me.
I'm quite impressed by how smoothly the SurePay system worked. The client and I communicated through email on a couple of things, but the rest of the job was handled through the Voices.com site. It made things very easy.
Thanks Voices.com.
Dollar for Dollar, Pound for Pound, Voices.com is the Best Thing in Cyberspace!
- Written by Stephanie
- October 9, 2009
About eight years ago, I kept hearing new voices on local t.v. and radio spots that I didn't recognize. A little detective work on my part and I soon discovered that voices were now being hired from far and wide for my market area.
I should have realized it a few years earlier when I was in a session recording four local radio commercials for a car dealer.
The engineer asked me to take a break after recording the first spot, so he could mix it and send it off to the station. I assumed he was calling a courier to have a 'tape' sent over. After the session the engineer had shown me what he'd done and it literally 'blew me away'.
Thanks to high speed Internet he was able to send an mp3 file directly to the station. While driving home after the session I heard the commercial on the radio that I had recorded less than an hour ago.
"Technology, what a beautiful cutting edge thing." I'd thought to myself. Quickly I made the decision that when it comes to technology you either embrace it, or get left behind.
I became a member of Voices.com in 2005 and have never looked back.
Since the site was revamped last November it now has a host of other features that are very helpful and definitely put Voices.com a giant step above the competition. The fact that my web page has a visitor counter that lets me know exactly how many people have visited my site is a great asset to me.
I use my Voices.com web page to solicit new business all the time, and this way I can see that my efforts are bearing fruit.
As someone who is fortunate enough to do voice work full time, it's very reassuring to know I have a reliable partner in Voices.com who are constantly looking for new ways to make their service even better.
Dollar for dollar, pound for pound, Voices.com is the best thing in cyberspace!

A Great Introduction into the Modern World of Voice Over Work
- Written by Stephanie
- October 2, 2009
Hi,
My name is Randy Anderson, I joined voices.com at the end of April. I was in the VO world and broadcasting in the 80's to 1993. I left to pursue another career, (Fire Dept). I wanted to enter back into the VO world but knew many things had changed. I came across Voices.com, as well as other voice marketplaces, and knew right away that Voices.com was at the top of the game. From day one I have received help and direction, along with encouragement, to start to put my VO career back on track.
So fast forward to today (6/21/09) I have auditioned for many jobs, have been considered for jobs and landed an audio book job (70,000 words), which I just finished and the client has asked for me to start another audio book for his company.
During our uploads, we found there was a problem with the larger files, voices.com researched it out and discovered it was a problem with their server. Voices.com went to work and fixed the problem, keeping me and ultimately my client updated on the progress. This is what puts Voices.com at the lead of all voice over marketplaces.
Voices.com is truly committed to the VO Talents and will do everything possible so each and everyone who is a part of Voices.com is successful.
Thanks again for great introduction back into the modern world of VO work,

I did 3 TV spots, 2 radio spots, and 3 on-hold messages for Texas Steakhouse.
I voiced 9 out of 11 characters for the award-winning computer-animated short film "Desert Heat" and the promo for Captiva Creations.
I did 30 celebrity impressions and 3 promos for the "Shake" comedy album.
I then did the trailer and narration for "The Harps" documentary and the promo for "Pimp the World" podcast.
I did a radio spot for Intermountain Healthcare and then a videogame trailer for "Spectrobes: Origins" for the Wii.

The Voice of God in Alabama
- Written by Stephanie
- September 25, 2009
Dear Stephanie,
I began my subscription to Voices.com about two years ago and in the beginning it was a struggle.
I would get up every morning, check my invitations and away I would go auditioning for as long as my voice could hold out in the heat of my small studio. It went on like that for 6 months, audition after audition with no results, sometimes the feedback would indicate I had come close but not close enough. I tried every voice nuance I could think of, every possible angle to make a breakthrough in the business but alas no such breakthrough was forthcoming.
Then one day, in the middle of a particularly loud and energetic read, I hit the red line and I just gave up.
I asked myself "Why am I doing this, why would I torture myself this way and all for no gain, no encouragement, just rejection."
In a total fit of anger and frustration I ripped my script in half and threw it on the floor and unbelievably began to jump on it , like an animated ape in a cartoon. What a sight I was, ripping, jumping, yelling at the world at full throttle.
Eventually the moment passed and I picked up the shreds of my script and deposited them in the garbage and I prepared to change the scenery a bit and go out for a walk.
As I pulled on my sweater and laced up my shoes I heard the familiar sound of an incoming email. I had no idea whom that email might be from but I poked my head in the my studio, just to take a peek, and there it was, my first paying gig, on the screen for all to see and, not just any voice over, it was a sign from above.
The client's name was Stacy Cobb and he ran a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre in Alabama called the Foundry. His ministry reached out to the homeless and the helpless and without judgment of any kind it would offer food, clothing and love to those in the most need.
What they had chosen me for was to be the voice of God in a television commercial.
The voice of God.
It was very humbling particularly in light of my previous tantrum and it served as a reminder that the universe is a wondrous place and if your heart and mind are open and you can keep your own faith and belief in yourself and your inner talent then keep on auditioning and working with your friends at Voices.com because every now and then miracles do happen, and you can take that from the voice of God in Alabama.
Great Opportunities For Jobs Available via The Internet
- Written by Stephanie

Dear folks at Voices.com,
Thanks for your words of welcome, albeit auto-generated. I still feel the love.
I appreciate the help and support that you provide to people like me who are just getting their toes wet and are very new to the industry. I'm probably a little late to the party, but that's ok--I'm a quick study.
I've been told for years that I should narrate and perform professionally, so now here I am.
I'm also thankful for the Internet and the more level playing field it creates in a profession like this. In the past, you needed to know someone who knew someone else in order to find an agent, find an agency, and then shop yourself around. The Internet opens many more doors, especially to those in the initial stages of a career.
So therefore, I thank you, Voices.com!
Voice Over Dinosaur Discovers a Miracle
- Written by Stephanie
- September 23, 2009
Very, very recently, in a galaxy close, close by, there lives a Voice Over dinosaur who was completely oblivious to the wonders and technical developments of instant audition invitations and the capacity to zoom out custom demos at light speed with a moment's notice. Gone are the days of Dixie cups and string. Farewell to packing your demo reel on your back and trudging through the marshes and tundra trying to avoid the tar pits while foraging for your next gig.
"How did this come about," you may well ask. While wading through the waters of the internet while exploring the possibilities of how to get back into the v/o biz after a 20+ year hiatus, this "dinosaur" luckily happened across a miracle. This panacean web site not only has literally tons of valuable and pertinent information about how, what, when, and where. It also hosts a veritable gold mine of who's. A treasure trove of experts and professionals with the generosity and grace to share their copious knowledge of the ins and outs, the do's and don'ts, the why's and wherefore's with the entire voicing community with nuggets of wisdom--no matter what your experience level.
Of these shamans and spirit guides that could instruct and lead one out of the Jurassic era into modern day methodology one in particular drew my attention with the depth of her knowledge and the amount of information that she shares through this wondrous site and she lives right down the street from me in Dallas, Texas--REALLY!
That is how I found Bettye Zoller who has poked and prodded and instructed and encouraged me ever since. Discovering Bettye though Voices.com I soon learned from her the power and importance that Voices.com would play in my resurrection back into voice over work during my very first workshop with her. I even set up a profile BEFORE I had a demo, but got my demos up as quick as I could.
I also found out about the good folks at Reading and Radio Resource here in Dallas, home of North Texas Radio for the Blind. Bettye and I had emailed back and forth and she had advised me how beneficial working with them could be. Besides giving a helping hand to those in need it has also allowed me to get re-accustomed to the upgrades of sound booths and how things are recorded now, as well as familiarized me with changes in microphones and voicing techniques, etc. So I jumped in with both feet.
By doing this you also develop a comfort level that makes auditioning and equipment manipulation second nature and not so daunting. I started six months ago, hesitantly at first, as a substitute host reading THE ECONOMIST on the air, before my first actual workshop. After tax season the original host came back, but now I am the voice of READER'S DIGESTS at NTRB.
In the meantime, I fleshed out my profile and uploaded the demos Bettye and I made together. I was finally out there. I was actively seeking gainful employ doing what I have always wanted to do--Full Time. About a month after the site under construction dust finally settled, I received a blanket email from Dave Gilbert at Wadjeteye Games touting the upcoming release of the next installment in a series of the BLACKWELL computer games. I already had BLACKWELL LEGACY and BLACKWELL unbound and anxiously awaited the next one.
About two years ago, Dave and I had communicated when I had commented on one of his blogs and he had helped me with a computer glitch on one of my games. It just so happened that I had the wherewithal back then, while I was complimenting him on his games, to mention the fact that I had done voice over work and was considering getting back into it.
I replied to his email, told him that I now had a dynamite demo and asked if he had ever considered remote casting. (This was something I had NEVER heard of before my venture into Voices.com and my tutelage under Bettye Zoller). He emailed me back--almost immediately. Serendipitously, he was going to be out of the country and one of his character voice actors had dropped out. I shot him back a link to my profile at Voices.com suggesting that he check out my demos and voila--instant legitimacy with a photo, profile and demos at his finger tips. Consequently, he sent me copy. I sent custom demos. He hired me for three of the four characters that I had voiced for!
If you are interested you can find me at http://wadjeteyegames.com by following the GAMES link to BLACKWELL CONVERGENCE to the CAST PAGE LIST. I'm half way down the page. (I used the bomber jacket head shot instead of my Voice.com profile photo because it was more ominous.)
While I didn't actually get this job through Voices.com, I can honestly say that I got it because of y'all. (That "you guys" in Texas-speak. We have never grasped the concept of a plural "you".)
I have signed with Danette Linicomn at THE ELITE AGENCY here in Dallas and have submitted my information to an agency seeking representation in Atlanta. I guess I'm on my way! So, my advice to you is to JUST GO FOR IT! Onward and upward--and may the VOICE be with you.

Voices.com Has Fast Forwarded My Path to Success

- September 21, 2009
I have been in the voice-over industry for less than 3 months, and Voices.com has fast forwarded my path to success.
I had no idea how to make the cross from an on camera actor and get into voice-overs.
Voices.com website had a wealth of resources at my fingertips. Rather than create my own website, I decided to use my profile page as my site, complete with Demos.
I have been contacted by clients to do some corporate work. I auditioned for, and was hired as the voice of a videogame character for an upcoming title. I am told that to have this success in a short period of time is unusual.
The website is easy to use and the feedback system is wonderful. If it were not for Voices.com I would be lost.
The monthly payment option was great for someone starting out like myself.
Thank you,

Spring 2009... a client sends a request to gather voices to be used in training their employees how to better their positions of safety and deliver quality products by means of total success.
During their selection process, the client researched their potential voices.
The decision maker went to my web page and learned of my writing skills and the books available to help motivate adults and or teens to unlock their doors leading toward incredible creations.
Her son was having a horrible time in school and it was affecting his personal life at home with family and friends. The clients journey of reaching for a voice to help teach her employees turned into something more valuable... a writer who took the time to build a bridge to her son.
Voices.com served as a connection between two separate lives on opposite ends of the country that very easily could've just saved a troubled teen.
This is why I take the time to build relationships with the clients. I don't bang out a spot. I don't rush a voice over job to them only to never hear from them again. I've made it my passion to opens doors and never treat a client like the next big gig.
Voices.com Goes The Extra 2 Miles To Ensure Integrity

As expected when one staff member Laurynda Pasma, earns a promotion, her brightly lighted torch of uncompromised Talent-Producer customer care along a knack when it came to dialoguing with concerned customers continues to be a hallmark at Voices.com.
Although, I was so pleased to hear Laurynda's deserved promotion, I felt comforted by having my submission issue addressed by Jessica, a Voices.com staffer who is patently as caring as her predecessor.
From David to Stephanie Ciccarelli, to the whole team that includes everyone, if a client fumbles by forgetting a crucial component in submitting a custom demo that he or she has produced for the client, Voices.com will go that extra 2 miles to ensure both integrity within the submission process while doing whatever they can to assist talent with a problem.
As a three year member, I would never consider leaving this marketplace of superior talent, viable new platform and finally but most importantly- the way that Voices.com engenders a sense of caring for each of the vocalists, like me, who work so hard to meet a clients high expectations of professionalism. Furthermore, if any vocal talent is contemplating on whether he or she should spend the money to join Voices.com, please contact me at debsbook@aol.com.

Hi Laurynda,
Hope all is well and you enjoyed your Summer. Just wanted to say that I've landed 3 pretty good size jobs over the past 2 months through Voices.com and thought I would share. I've never really sent in any feedback since I joined so I thought why not? It seemed all my work was coming from the other 'market place' but lately that is changing. It's all good!

The SurePay System Took Away Any Worries I May Have Had

Hi Stephanie,
Although I've been providing voice services for a long time, I only joined voices.com last month, mainly out of curiosity!
I managed to book a job within a couple of weeks (just finished it this morning) and found it to be one of the most straightforward and pleasant jobs I've ever booked through an online casting site.
The client was great to work with and the SurePay system took away any worries I may have had about agreeing and finalising payment.
All in all, good stuff. Thank you!

I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed using your service! I posted my job on your site and to my delight I had dozens of auditions the next morning. They were all so good I almost couldn't go wrong! Yesterday, my client at Alcon informed me that she had chosen to use internal talent to do the voiceover. I can tell you I will definitely use you in the near future. Thank you for providing such a wonderful service. You have made my life so much easier!

Susannah decided she would test the waters with a monthly membership. If during that time she made more money than the membership cost, Susannah would take out a year's subscription. In her first month she booked $2900 worth of work.
A dual British / US citizen, raised and educated in the UK, Susannah has a natural British accent. Having also lived in France, the US and New Zealand, she can easily adopt a "Mid-Atlantic," American, or French accent, for international appeal.

Well, in my first month, I booked $2900 worth of work, enough to pay for an annual membership 10 times over.
One job I'm really excited about is for a new animated website called TheTalkingTarot.com. I get to play the high priestess archetype. Very cool.
But the best part for me is how Voices.com brings the world closer together. Each week, I audition for clients who might be located anywhere from India to Indiana, meanwhile, I'm sharing my story with you from my recording studio in New Zealand.

Herb's Voices.com Review
Herb Merriweather has found that Voices.com is a powerful tool when used correctly in a timely manner. When in the right hands, yours, there are no limits. Not only is Herb working but he is living a dream that up to now was just that, a dream.
Herb Merriweather gives life to many characters and has found great joy in working with Voices.com as a partner in his success.

Hi everybody, my name is Herb Merriweather, and this is my story. I've had a varied background in music, radio, television and digital media.
A little over a year ago, I spoke to my family at length about taking that relationship, if you will, to the next level, that level being the marketing of myself as a professional voice talent and voice actor. A chance to get all those characters out of my head! And also a chance to develop and expand as a voice over artist.
After getting lots of prayer, encouragement, and positive feedback, the time came to actually step out into the void, into adventure, but how do you make the first step?
Well, after painfully admitting that I really don't know everything, I googled myself silly until I came to Voices.com. Hmmm... easy, I thought, I need that. Free online web page for new talent, wow... able to upload demos to my page (huh, that's pretty cool), and when I think I'm ready, I can make a small financial monthly investment and reap a tremendous harvest of job opportunity.
Not a bad way to start, but all that was just on the surface.
As I began to explore the website, I found there were scripts and helpful hints, interesting articles about the world and workings of voice over, numerous links to coaches, colleagues and customers, and then I discovered the podcasts.
These were actual voice acting lessons and tips given by the best and brightest in the voice over universe. Man, I absorbed that knowledge like a sponge! I was back in college, taking notes, pacing the floor, listening to the information, applying all the techniques that were available to me.
And the results?
Well, not only am I working, but I am living a dream that up until now was just that... just a dream!
Videogames, documentaries, cartoons... I've been blessed to have work with some of the most gifted, focused people in the world and its given me great vision for the craft itself. In fact, my future's so bright, I've got to wear shades!
The Lord said to Moses, "What is that in your hand?" Moses answered and said, "A rod." Moses didn't know it, but that simple rod that he was holding was a powerful tool when used correctly and in a timely manner, much like Voices.com. Looks like any well-maintained 21st century website, but when properly used and in the right hands, yours, there are no limits.
Don't be afraid to share your gift. Happy voicing!
God bless and thanks for listening,

Vanessa's Voices.com Success Story
Hi, I'm Vanessa Hart, and I could wax poetic about helpful blogs and articles, praise the customer service, et cetera, but I want to talk about the business of the business... money.
The best part of Voices.com is the repeat business. Just a few examples here. One of the very first gigs I got at Voices.com was about three years ago and it was for the in-store ads for Harley-Davidson. I've been doing those monthly now ever since.
Planet Hollywood Resorts and Casinos. That started as a six-line intro and morphed into a very well-paid 25-page ISDN session.
A short narration for an interactive New York City art show turned into me voicing two more pieces for them and me recording two more sessions for them with another local LA voice talent.
This talent turned into a producer who has hired me to voice and produce six radio spots to date, which lead to one of the other talents in these spots becoming a student of mine, which lead to me recording her audio for a new spot about an artist in Rwanda, a story about hope and the power that lies in choosing hope. So Voices.com is good for the soul as well, and awfully synergistic.
And just last week, three radio spots for a health center in Los Angeles and Phoenix that I wrote, voiced, and produced and was able to turn union.
In a nutshell, Voices.com has been a wonderful partner in growing my voice business and the venue that has allowed me to branch out to writing, engineering and producing for myself and for others.
You are the only online voice over site that I recommend without reservation, so a tip of the hat to you.
Keep up the great work!
Vanessa Hart, signing off.

John's Voices.com Review
It all started with a call from a colleague. She said, "John, you would be great at this," as she went on to describe the Voices.com website and features. I was aware to an extent of voice acting but thought it was beyond me and only made available to the elite voices that you hear everyday on radio and television. Me being the reluctantly stubborn person that I am, I promised her I would at least take a look.
When I got to the website I was quite surprised at the number of regular people associated with Voices. In fact, there were even a few of my friends I've known throughout the years listed. That prompted me to look even further.
I found Voices.com to be quite easy to maneuver, very user friendly and a breeze to get around, and coupled with my colleague's relentless persistence (Thank you, Nancy G!), I joined. Now I'm not going to tell you it was all wine and wedding cake, but what I didn't know Voices.com provided with tutorials, insight, daily blogs and industry information that made the process very step-by-step.
You know I still remember, after about 2 weeks of constant auditioning, getting that first job. I was thrilled! People will pay good money for me to promote them? I questioned myself. And it's true and they are.
I'm a full-time voice actor now. I get up every morning wondering if today I'm going to be a singing squirrel, talking alien, or promote the next reality TV show and I look forward to getting into the studio everyday and I'm also pleased to know that there's a group of people dedicated to my success and not just another listing company.
Bravo Voices.com for helping me see the future, one voice over at a time!

With Voices.com, Catherine Campion made back her investment 100 times over. Her only regret is that she didn't join sooner, citing that Voices.com is clearly the one-stop-shop for all voice over needs, period.
Catherine Campion has dual citizenship, a citizen of the United States and a citizen of Ireland. Capable of providing voice over services with an unaffected American or Irish accent, Catherine finds that one third of all her voice over work is done with an Irish or British accent.

Made Back My Membership Fee 100 Times Over
Hi, this is Catherine Campion, I'm from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Last year I realized I wanted to buy a second home in Los Angeles where I've been making a living as an on-camera actress for several years. To do so on my own would require me to earn substantially more money than I had been so I decided to launch a voice over career as well.
In the passed year, I have recorded dozens of commercials, narrations, documentaries, trailers, phone systems and even an audiobook for the Kama Sutra.
Going into it I was optimistic but I never imagined it would happen so quickly for me. It took me two decades of training, working and marketing to build the successful acting career I have today. With on-camera, the combination of talent, intelligence, and business savvy does not always equal instant success. In fact, as you probably know, most people who attempt it never make a living at it. Just come to Hollywood, they'll be the ones serving your spring salads and pouring your half-caff lattes.
The difference with voice over is that anyone with talent and business smarts can build a home-based voice over business from anywhere in the world. The most beautiful thing that I've discovered with Voices.com is that most of my work has come from clients contacting me directly from my Voices.com page, hiring me without an audition simply based on the merits of the crackerjack demo I recorded with Nancy Wolfson just last year. Almost every job I have accepted has led to further voice over work, sometimes from the original client, oftentimes from a referral from that client.
My favorite success story is the ad agency who found me on Voices.com, hired me for one spot without an audition and now uses me as the female voice of nearly every campaign they work on. Second home, here I come! I also happen to be a dual citizen of the United States and Ireland so I can do several natural accents. About a third of my work is done with an Irish or British accent. There aren't a lot of people in the voice over world who can do these accents like a native, so if you can, I recommend you get going.
With Voices.com, I have made back my investment a hundred times over. My only regret is that I didn't join sooner. Don't waste your time on any other sites. Voices.com is clearly the one-stop-shop for all of your professional voice over needs.

A perfect business pairing, Paul Albertson has leveraged his service offerings and profile at Voices.com to achieve phenomenal results.

Paul's Review of Voices.com
The name's Albertson, Paul Albertson. I'll be with you just after I've jumped out of this helicopter and landed in the studio. Ah, that's better. Now I'm sipping a martini in my underground secret studio in the heart of Piccadilly in London's west end.
Good, so I'll just record a few chapters for the latest talking book for a publisher in the US, I'll also have look at the script for an advert in Beirut that I'm doing whilst prepping a phone script for India. Ah yes, and I must remember to send those last few lines off for that baddie in that fantasy videogame I've just done.
All of these, plus many other jobs, are all from the result of being on Voices.com, what I consider to be an excellent global voice service, and what I mean by that is, Voices.com can get your voice all over the world.
Now, one of the main reasons that I particularly like Voices.com is that it puts us, it puts the talent, in control of the auditions and the submissions rather than just having an agent and then sitting back and wondering what on earth is going on.
Before Voices.com, the old way that most people went about being a voice talent was to record a demo, send it out via CD to agents and to employers and then see what happened.
Now what happens is that you join a site, you've got your own homepage as it were, get auditions and leads sent to you, you can get different kinds of contacts, and you can send potential employers to your site either by email or by Google Ads for example, you can use it as a landing page or even you can phone them up and point them in that direction.
But what once took about 2 weeks now takes about 2 minutes, and the good thing about it is that if you're dedicated you will get the results, BUT, this is what I consider to be the ultimate secret of success, and I've already mentioned it once, and the word is GLOBAL.
Now the one thing is, I sell my voice style as the James Bond of voice talents, which is very corny, yes, but what you have to remember, on a global level, is that everyone on the globe has heard of James Bond and most people have the same image about him in their heads. So, if I call myself the James Bond of voice talents, every potential client knows what sort of voice talent I am before they've even pressed the play button. And as long as I deliver, which of course I always do, then the client is always happy.
Now, I do consider to be myself quite versatile, and well who doesn't really, I only present myself as versatile to clients who have already used me in the past. Now, if I was just in England promoting myself as the James Bond of voice over talents, then I probably wouldn't get a huge amount of response, but what's great about it on a global level is if someone in Timbuktu and they want a James Bond style voice, they just go onto Voices.com and there I am and straightaway they can send me an email or they can listen to my demo, get in contact and we can go from there.
So, it's got lots of benefits but the two main ones for me is that it puts the talent in control of actually going out there and finding the work, and it gives you leads, and it gives you auditions, and it gives you things to promote, but also what it does is it gets you out there on a global level as opposed to a local level, and as I said the trick to that as far as I'm concerned is to be as absolutely specific as possible about what you're delivering to that very, very, very large crowd.
Well, I think I've said enough on that subject now, I think the time has come to pop on pair of speedos and jump in the pool. I just hope there's not too many supermodels in there this time taking up all the space. Bye for now.

What A Difference Voices.com Has Made in My Life
Hi, this is Lori Taylor. I've been invited to tell you a little bit about myself and my successful relationship with Voices.com. I guess I should probably start by mentioning that I've been a voice talent for over 35 years, and because I live in the great college town of Gainesville, Florida (Go, Gators!), I used to have to travel several hours to recording studios in Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville.
I finally decided I'd had enough of the "Have voice, will travel" scenario so my wonderful husband built me a state-of-the-art home studio. No more long days away from home, I just walk into my studio, turn on my computer and let Voices.com send me auditions that perfectly fit my profile. The caliber of the jobs has been fantastic.
I'd like to tell you about two of my favorite clients that found me through Voices.com. The first one is Robbie Conaway with RC PoP Art. Actually, when Voices.com recently interviewed Robbie, he graciously focused on his work with me on various projects so I was really pleased.
Robbie first booked me from an audition for a New York, overly chatty woman who was trying to buy a laminator for her boss. After that, Robbie has booked me regularly as a customer service operator, and it's been especially fun because he sketched her to look just like me in the visuals.
I guess my biggest success story though, financially and otherwise, has been as the principal female talent for a huge videogame. We've just completed milestone 4 and it's been an incredible journey that I've shared with Scooter Fortney and Gray Gleason. The three of us have had fun creating numerous character voices in an educational fantasy world.
The game is produced in China and the graphics are indescribably beautiful. I'm truly honored to be a part of this amazing project. My meat and potatoes work is primarily technical eLearning, commercials, corporate training and tour narrations.
I'm very, very thankful to the Lord for blessing me with so many wonderful clients, and Voices.com is a big part of that blessing. Thanks to them and the miracle of technology, my voice is now heard throughout the world. No more traveling for hours in my car! Thanks Voices.com, what a difference you've made in my life!

Put Voices.com To The Test
So, you have an amazing voice, and people have said that you'd be perfect for audio books or radio commercials. Now what? Even if you are the most amazing talent in the world... if that world doesn't know anything about you, you'll have as much impact as the sound of one hand clapping.
If you want to be in business, you need a store, a cash register, a marketing & advertising campaign, a way to get your product to market, and first-class customer service. As voice-over talents, we have a huge problem: our product is invisible.
That's where voice-over websites come in. They can make the intangible, tangible. All of a sudden, the invisible can have a worldwide presence in the market place. Now, not all voice-over sites are created equal, and as they say, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. But before I say anything else, here's a word of warning: I am probably going to sound like the guy who does all these "too good to be true infomercials". So, just hear me out, be a skeptic, and make up your own mind.
Two months ago, I decided to challenge Voices.com. I wanted those Canadians to prove to me that their pudding would be worth my investment. So, I signed up for a month-to-month membership, and as soon as I did, the auditions started rolling in. Sixty days later, my dollar-a-day membership plan paid off big time. Not only did I get some of the best voice-over projects in my career, with 2300 dollars in the bank, I had earned more than 38 times my investment.
Numbers don't lie, but they only tell part of the story.
For me, the true value of Voices.com is not only determined by the return on investment. Long before I became a paying member, I discovered that Voices.com is more than a store. The website offers an amazing wealth of voice-over information for newbies and seasoned pros alike... Just log on and you'll find free podcasts, expert blogs, anything from technical tips to current rate info.
Voices.com helps beginners to hone their craft, and it gives a platform to established talents to share their insights. Instead of having to reinvent the wheel, I learned from their mistakes and more importantly, from their successes.
Here's the thing: I didn't get into this business because I'm a marketing genius. I'd rather spend time in front of a microphone, than drumming up new business. Thanks to Voices.com, I can focus on what I do best! I can't even imagine how much money I'd have to spend to reach the number of voice-seekers Voices.com reaches each and every day. They make the connections, they do the legwork and they promote my skills. And at the end of the day, Voices.com even makes sure that I get paid.
Well, that's my story. But be a skeptic and do what I did: put Voices.com to the test. The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Bon appétit!
Warmest regards,

Laurynda -
I want to thank you very much for your personal interest in helping me get this. They heard me on Voices.com and said they found my read to be "informed - but not stuffy.."
The client is a brand incubator & marketing company with several products in the health and beauty field that are based in some pretty solid science. The project involved narrating a short video that explains a brand new weight loss product called Sensa. The clinical studies show it's dramatically effective because it signals the brain to tell the body to stop eating when it's time to stop eating. So it's natural, effortless. The appeal is to an informed, upscale audience. It allows me to tell a story and explain the inner workings - my specialty! On every count - this is the perfect kind of client for me.
I did the session for them yesterday and they seem very pleased with the results. I am pleased as well.
Again, thank you. I cannot imagine how - with all the talent on the site - you manage to take such a personal interest. I'm grateful.

I'm Excited To Be Part of a Quality Marketplace for Talent
- Written by Stephanie
- June 5, 2009
Dear Stephanie,
I wish to applaud the marvelous updates that your team has made to voices.com.
Without question, it is the finest talent/client match-up forum on the web. And if I were to advise talent as to which site to join, I would have no compunctions in recommending Voices.com. Not only are your job leads superior, but your team has always been generous with their time when communicating with talent.
And I would be remiss if I did not mention that the demos vocalists cut and upload are not adulterated in anyway as they are at some competing sites. This is so very critical as it often takes talent an hour or more to deliver a very fine demo.
To boot, it appears that the site has become even more user friendly. Kudos to everyone at Voices.com.
Today is my renewal date, and I am excited to once again be part of a quality marketplace for talent.

And today I found my name in the top 5 on the favorites list.... great exposure!
Thanks again for making Voices.com a great resource for not only good, quality leads but also a great place to find useful blog posts and podcasts relevant to the industry.

Voice-over work is no longer just a side job, it is my career.

Hi Stephanie,
I just wanted to thank you. As you probably already know, I am a voice talent registered with Voices.com. I signed up as a Premium member back in August 2008.
I felt the urge to write and thank you as I sit here recording for one of many great clients I have had the pleasure of working with because of Voices.com.
I haven't auditioned on Voices.com for about 2 weeks or so. Why? Because I have SO MUCH work from the short time I have been on the site, that I am too busy recording.
The membership fee is literally a drop in the bucket compared to what I have made from Voices.com.
You guys do a great job. I just wanted to let you know that. Thank you so much for helping to grow my business. Voice-over work is no longer just a side job, it is my career.
Thank you so very much,

Live Chat Attendant Kudos for Jessica Stiles

Hello I've been in the voiceover business for several years and I have never come across someone like your Live Chat girl named Jessica. Wow. How refreshing to have someone not only kind but with a wonderful personality and sense of humor. So much in fact I asked her to be my friend.
No seriously, she answered all my questions in such a timely manner and added her own flair so it wasn't so generic like a robotic conversation. I don't usually write to companies but I had to because she actually made my day and in this day and age people are so angry at the whole world and it shows in their performance of their job. If she worked for me I would be giving her a raise. Let her see this as well.
Thank you Jessica for not making me feel like just a number.

I booked Harper/Collins book called "LOVE YOU HATE YOU MISS YOU" as well as another podcast (ongoing for major colleges - and a lead in a video game doing a Chinese Kick-Ass female character and a three spots for Britain's premiere newspaper (which is continuing work). I also recently did a television spot for one dentist business and that lead to more work.

One-Stop-Shopping Feature at Voices.com Was Good For Business
- Written by Stephanie
- April 22, 2009
Smith Pro Rodeos contracted me through the Voices.com Store. They were looking for a "Sam Elliott" sounding Voice Over for a special "opening presentation: for a rodeo event to viewed on the 'jumbo-tron". Smith Pro Rodeos, is the preeminent professional rodeo producer and in reviewing my "Sam Elliott" demo in the store of Voices.com I was selected for the project.
I voiced the exciting opening event film presentation for the Super Bowl of rodeos The Gold Buckle Award. The client was very cordial and professional and sincerely believe the ease of the Voices.com one stop shopping feature for this client (who does not have a regular need for VO talent) made it a particularly easy business experience.

Ramping Up
- Written by Stephanie
- October 23, 2008
I've been with Voices.com all of a month now, but I am pretty well versed in the process of audition... and audition... and audition.
Until a week or so ago I was feeling kinda blah about the whole thing, but had a sunny disposition. I mean, after all, who doesn't need practice?
Never having done the kind of ominous-sounding trailer voice the client sought for his upcoming book's video preview, I wasn't expecting a call back. BUT...
So after that connection I am fortunate enough to be reading the whole book for him soon. Pretty cool! Look ma, I'm an audiobook person!
Yesterday I picked up a role as a Brit "interpreter voice" for a small documentary. Cheers!
My membership's paying for itself, and that's all I wanted. Of course, there is the "and then some"... that seems to be a strong possibility.
Thanks!

I've just completed an audiobook project for the company SPEAKING VOLUMES after auditioning for it on Voices.com!
I had the opportunity to narrate and bring to life the fictional character Michael Tree, a female detective.
The book, DEADLY BELOVED, written by renowned author, MAX ALLAN COLLINS, takes you on an action packed adventure with this gritty, gutsy and sometimes sexy female P.I. in search of her husband's killer!
As a female voice actor who's been in this business for 25 years plus it's great to have had the opportunity to take on such a colorful, strong female role.

I've been a finalist on several big jobs but I can't believe how excited I am to have just finished a "tiny" little VO job! Hi,
Just wanted to let you know that in the past month-I've booked four jobs through Voices.com. I got an audio book, 2 e-learning jobs and a movie trailer. Thanks so much!
I'm also creating demo reels for aspiring voice over actors in the Los Angeles/Orange County area if anyone is interested. If someone needs one they can email me or call me at 310-980-8117.
All the best,
Can We Do it Again... Soon?

I'm not sure what was happening earlier this week... perhaps I was up at the top of the featured list? But for the first time, in a very long while, I received several inquires, out of the blue, for quotes and did generate one job out of it.
So this is just a thank you for whatever you did. Can we do it again... soon??
Many thanks,
I've Acquired 4 Good Jobs in My First 7 Weeks at Voices.com
- Written by Stephanie
- May 6, 2008
Hey everybody,
I just wanted to thank Voices.com for all the hard work and great care they take in affording their members the opportunity to garner work they would not have other wise been able to solicit.
I have been a member for 7 weeks now, and have acquired 4 good paying, well above minimum jobs, as well as the contacts that come from it. From Canada to New Orleans, Vegas to Houston. Pretty cool what you can do with a good supporting cast, a mic, a computer, and the fact that I’m a composer, musician, vocalist, as well as a voice actor. One of the jobs I got was a jingle… Cool.
I briefly stuck my toes in the water at that 123 place, and found it to be much different, and I absolutely love the fact that Voices has a $100 minimum. Hey, we are pros, and deserve at least a decent minimum for our talent, studio time, and electricity...
Through my association with Voices, Julie Williams' forum, and now I Rock the Mic, I landed a pretty cool gig on a new, soon to be released "Star Trek" animated series. I'm Capt. Aaron Glenn Commander USS Azrael in "USS Farragut - The Animated Episodes". I even did the trailer. Pretty cool stuff. Here's the link to that.
Click on the "Special Episodes" link above the pic for trailer and press release.
Thanks Voices... I'm grand-fathered, and happy to be here...
It Has Taken Off Rapidly!

Hello all,
This is truly exciting and a success story for me. It is always said that patience pays off and it is paying off very well. I had been on Voices.com for a year without any response. This is my second year and it has taken off rapidly.
I have been contacted three times in the last two weeks and have gotten work; I have already recorded one job and got paid. The second one will be recorded on Monday and the third is to be recorded on Tuesday. The first company was out of Toronto, the second out of Chicago and the third out of California.
I will be putting up these recordings when I have them all completed.
These three jobs have already paid for my memberships and this year I will be doing a lot of marketing through Voices.com.
Thank you Voices.com.
Thank You For INCREDIBLE Customer Service!
- Written by Stephanie
- May 5, 2008
I just had to say, since I've become much more active with voices.com over the past few months, I've been booking quite a few gigs! :) Most of them off my generic demos at that - which I *LOVE* that you allow us to submit. At the moment, I'm a part time talent (not for much longer though!) and having the ability to submit generic demos, makes it possible for me to get a few more auditions in during the day.
I also want to thank you for your INCREDIBLE customer service. I've had NIGHTMARE service from your major online competitor, but you guys have always been so pleasant with me and so wonderful dealing with my questions and issues. I really, really appreciate that and will continue to spread the word on how much I love Voices.com.
Thank you!

I booked my first gig through Voices.com.
I voiced a .30 and .60 for Columbia Water and Light through AdWorks. It was a character read and I had a great time recording it. The spots started airing in Columbia, Missouri on April 10. It was a great experience. They used my .30 audition and the first take I submitted.
It was a great experience.

My Success story is about LOCATION and just how much VOICES.COM Rocks!!
About three weeks ago I read an e-mail that was sent from VOICES.COM. It was from a local Computer Corporation called SKYTAP they were in dire need of a Voice Over Artist that was Local and they were on DEADLINE.
Through VOICES.COM they chose my sound and hired me for a 2 min. intro and a ten min. product tour!
The client and myself formed a lasting working relationship and friendship and last night I went to a rockin' Launch Party for the project and landed a few other gigs in the process! It was so great to meet the actual Client and the other talents who were also involved in the project!
Thanks for the work! Voices.com U-ROCK!

Surprised to find it's easier to find talent to record locally online!
- Written by Laurynda
- March 20, 2008
Dear Laurynda,
I just wanted to thank you for Voices.com's wonderfully helpful service. I had no idea this site existed until someone pointed the website out to me, and now I only wish I knew about it earlier. I had 94 responses within 24 hours of my posting, so, if anything, the website works too well!
One of the respondents wrote that they could not believe that we needed to find someone to do a voice over in LA since there should be plenty to choose from. To that I would respond that while there might be tons of local people here who could and would help us, finding them is a whole other challenge. That is where your service helps no matter where you are from.
We ended up working with Craig Burnett who we found via Voices.com
Thank you,

Renewed at Voices.com after reviewing my business history
- Written by Laurynda
- March 12, 2008
Hello,
I have discovered that when reviewing Voices.com business history, I overlooked 1 ongoing client which I got thru Voices. I also wonder if there were others too?
Therefore I have subscribed for one more year.
On review, my criticism of your site was harsh. That is due to the oddballs who have contacted me through you and my poor batting average with Voices.com. compared with other websites and my agents. It just didn't add up.
I was flabbergasted that I could not justify $199! Well, I discovered at least one client won through Voices.com and I have earned thousands as a result. So - it is a no brainier to re-up.
Business is business after all.
Please accept my apologies, and note I have always appreciated your customer service and web design.

I just wanted to tell you what a great presentation David put on at today's e-seminar through the London Small Business Centre.
David was very professional and informative. It was also good to see how a successful company like Voices.com is benefiting striving voiceover artists like myself in other ways!
The seminar as a whole was invaluable information to me and worth every penny.
It was a pleasure meeting David in person finally.

Voices.com provides a business environment with sensitivity to the artist
- Written by Laurynda
- March 12, 2008
Thanks David and Laurynda for the assistance you provided for my Mac PC.
I was so dissatisfied with another online service that I not only let my subscription lapse, but cancelled off that site completely. Conversely, although I still haven't gotten a gig yet at Voices.com. (I am confident it will happen soon), you and your staff always go 110% out of the way to help and service.
And, Voices.com; remains positive, uplifting, doesn't give me a feeling that I'm not good enough, or set rules that can't be understood, or rate me on a computer system that cannot be understood, doesn't threaten in any way, doesn't ask twice if I really want to submit an audition (really), and always provides me auditions in all budget ranges that I request.
In short, Voices.com provides a business environment with sensitivity to the artist. I like that.

It was a RED LETTER DAY here at Silver Tongued Angels. We got our first job on VOICES.COM. We have worked hard, taken advice from your staff and it really feels good.
My hat's off to all the good people at Voices.com. You have provided blogs, newsletters, books, articles and even personalized help. When I really needed help, you folks took a look at my information and my profile and made a few KEY suggestions.
Well it made all the difference. Our first job was not a trailer for the next "Terminator" film so Don will sleep well tonight....but it was a great Narration job for us that fits my Voice to a "T".
Thanks for everything....I am so stoked!!!

Hi Laurynda & Happy New Year!
This little note of gratitude is a little over due -not only thanks to all the holiday madness but also in thanks to you upgrading my account and composing that little bit of verbiage for me!
About 30 minutes after upgrading [to Premium] I received three private inquires from my Voices.com site! and all three hired me without an audition. Jan 2 - I received an inquiry from an L.A. production house for a corporate video, but the most exciting news? - a phone call later that day from an ABC affiliate to audition for TV imaging!
Thanks Laurynda! All the best to you in '08!

Nancy Wolfson Helped Me Achieve Success at Voices.com
- Written by Stephanie
- December 20, 2007
Hello,
My name is Kevin Lockhart. I am writing to you in regards to Nancy Wolfson, the voiceover coach. About 2 months ago I attended a weekend intensive with her at the DCPA. Since then I have enjoyed much more success than I had previously.
I had subscribed to a "casting" website for a year, and despite my many auditions had not landed a single job. I had even let my subscription lapse. After her weekend intensive, I was inspired to renew my subscription and using her techniques, I've landed four jobs in less than a month on the aforementioned site, and six on another. I did not enjoy this kind of success until Nancy Wolfson came to town.
I am a Nancy Wolfson success story. She was able to turn my luck around in a weekend, and if given the opportunity she could do for many others what she has done for me! Her class was enjoyable, and her methods work... period.

Wanted you to know how helpful your service and support person, Laurynda Pasma, has been. Her suggestions on marketing were on target. Within one week of joining Voices.Com, I landed my first job. The following week I received a referral email and landed still another job.
To date now, I’ve contact 23 Los Angeles talent agencies directing them to my Voices.Com web page. In addition, I’ve contacted 16 Hollywood casting agencies and have received several responses. Took your advice on marketing and notched it up one step further. I am now on Facebook, SAG iActor Casting Directory, Blinklist, B121.Com, AboutUs.org, Linkedin.com, and Del.icio.us to mention a few of the marketing websites that now have mention of Voices.Com from my link.
This success story also has a human interest side to it. As a single mom, this year my teenage son has suffered a debilitating illness. My voice work is a blessing to pay for unexpected medical bills, medication and tutors for this home-bound high school student of mine. Next year when you’re passing out those “Voicey Awards” for marketing one’s business, I am living proof that my Angel Wings Productions has launched with flying colors. I am so hopeful everyday when those audition emails arrive. Blessings to you all.

Voiceover Experts is one of The Most Important Resources for Voice Actors on the Internet Today
- Written by Stephanie
- September 13, 2007
At the risk of sounding like I'm "kissing up to folks" (though there would be no benefit in doing so that I am aware of), I want to boldly state that Voiceover Experts is one of the most important resources for voice actors on the internet today.
Getting "real-world" instruction and insight from working professionals at the click of a mouse is truly impressive. I have yet to come away from any of these installments empty handed.
Here's what I find to be true regarding Voiceover Experts:
-The beginner hits a GUSHER.
-The intermediate bathes in the joy of an abundance of bite-size nuggets that fit so nicely in the mouth of the lesser experienced.
-The professional always walks away with "sticky notes" to remind & challenge them in any number of areas.
I so appreciate the time and effort put forth in bringing these valuable resources to my desktop!

I got my first job on Voices.com yesterday (yay me!) and I have the say the process was completely seamless. The interface is intuitive and super easy. I was working with an excellent client, so part of the lightning fast quality was her work, but the interface allows it!!
Then today, I had a fight with PayPal (their fault), and when I called Voices.com to change my email address, Laurynda made sure the email was correct, then directed me to Carol who quickly got the money side of it sorted out. None of the problems started with Voices.com, but the ladies on the other end of the phone were quick to fix everything.

Job I Got Through Voices.com Makes a Difference
- Written by Stephanie
- May 11, 2007
Thanks to a lead that came from Voices.Com, a couple months ago, I had the pleasure of working with Robert Marcarelli of Marca-Relli Productions on a new documentary he was producing and directing based on David Batstone's book, "Not for Sale: The Return of the Global Slave Trade -- And How We Can Fight It."
I did the english-language voice overs for two Peruvian ladies featured in the "Generacion" section of the film. The DVD was released April 27th and is available at the Freedom Store at NotForSaleCampaign.Org. All proceeds go to fund the campaign, which seeks to abolish slavery in our lifetime. The message in the book and film is positive; it says people can make a difference.
My voice over projects all offer different types of challenges, and rewards (including the opportunity to work with and meet terrific clients, potential clients, and other great people in the voice over industry). I don't often get an opportunity to do character narration which is in itself a pleasant challenge. I'm very pleased to have been involved in this particular project and am delighted to share this information with you. The producers of the film and people involved with abolishing modern slavery are of course hugely in favor of raising public awareness. To that end, they have encouraged those of us involved with the film to get the word out and let people know that the DVD can be freely screened at your homes, churches, community centers, wherever people gather.

Vox Talk Podcast has been a Godsend
- Written by David Ciccarelli
- April 17, 2007
I am a relatively new member and I am absolutely THRILLED I found Voices.com.
This site has been a Godsend... for someone like me who works in the industry behind the scenes, but who is always looking at the spotlight (or microphone) with stars in his eyes! Thanks to the support of my family, a little bit of luck and the insight of your website and podcasts, I am finally getting my name back out there and starting to book some jobs; After having a good start in Chicago several years ago, then taking a not-by-choice near 6 year hiatus, I am starting over, but I am READY! !
I have been a HUGE fan and follower of Pat Fraley's work and teaching methods for many years and Julie Williams' self-marketing advice (probably my biggest weakness) has been very helpful... and yes I am going to write her too and let her know.
While I work in radio in a technical support capacity (I do occasionally provide character voices for many of the shows here on ESPN radio), my true love and my background is performing! I literally fell into my current position from a creative-production/programming/theatrical background... so Adam and Colin's TECH TALK pieces have also been very helpful!
I look forward (now every Thursday) to the Podcast as a wonderful addition to my "podcast listening regiment"! I missed it very much this week, but knowing full well that you and the rest of the VOICES.COM staff were very busy in Las Vegas at the Voice conference (I hope that I can make it next year)!
I wanted to touch base with you, David and the rest of the Voices.com crew and thank you from the bottom of my heart... and vocal chords!
Keep up the good work!
Your podcast, website, insight and dedication to all of us in the voice over industry, pro, amateur or just starting out are very welcome and provide some wonderfully necessary tools for our arsenals for success!
Sincerely,
Philip Weber

Superior File Quality and Ease of Use Make Voices.com Stand Out!
- Written by David Ciccarelli
- April 17, 2007
Hi! I've been a Voices.com voice artist for over a year now, and for the first time today I was on the other side of the fence as a job poster.
I knew I wanted to exclusively use Voices.com because of the superior file quality and ease of use of the site, but I didn't realize just how great it really is for employers!
Not only did the features offered and the design of the site make my job so much easier than what I was anticipating, but it was a real eye opener as a voice artist as to what the employers see when I bid. It showed me my strengths and weaknesses, and how I can better communicate based on what the employers are really seeing.
I just wanted to thank you for being so great!

Hi Laurynda,
I would like to share with you my experience with your company. A couple of years ago, I became just a basic member because I was skeptical to become anything more due to the bad experiences I've had with other voice-over companies. However, when I decided to give Voices.com a try, I quickly received a lead and instantly recovered what I invested as a premium member.
I have shared my experience with other co-workers and would highly recommend the Premium Membership to anyone considering it. I congratulate voices.com as they are one of the most organized voice-over companies in the industry! Thank you for the terrific experience thus far.
Sincerely,

Voices.com is Really Working for Me!
- Written by David Ciccarelli
- February 21, 2007
I have just started my second year with Voices.com. Originally I signed up for just another source of possible leads to augment my current voice over jobs. However, Voices.com has become a major source of my income.

The improvements they have made this past year took them over the top. I can now quickly apply for jobs with multiple proposal templates and use one of several pre-recorded demos (although I usually create a custom demo). What impresses me the most is that Voices.com is geared toward the Casting Director AND the Talent. They give both of us enough information to make good choices. (Its important in creating my proposals knowing the difference in a client from a small church in Arkansas and one for a major ad agency in New York)
This past year I have landed scores of jobs on Voices.com. I just picked up two today alone! More importantly than the specific jobs, I have gained new "clients"...people whom I work with on an on-going basis after the initial "introduction" through Voices.com.
It’s also a pleasure to be amidst so many talented pros and newcomers. Listening to their demos keeps my on my toes! Whenever a client asks me for another voice talent with a specific style I don’t possess, and no one comes directly to mind, I always refer them to Voices.com.
Voices.com Priceless!

Voices.com is the Best Organized Voice Marketplace on the Web
- Written by Stephanie
- January 17, 2007
This short note is to appauld Voices.com for providing talent with the best services available for on the internet. Having experience with a similar voice/client match-up site, I can honestly say that Voices.com is the best organized, Voice Marketplace on the web.
If I were to advise talent as to where to invest their dollars in order to promote their voice over abilities-hands down it would be with Voices.com. This is a remarkable service that enables talent to view their statiscal information and continually offers insights as how to improve your and promote your talents.
If financial resources as limited, and one doesn't fully understand how to get started--this is the place to be. The entire staff at Voices.com are helpful, responsive and do everything possible to attend to a talent's need. One can only assume that the same is true with how Voices.com works to assist clients.
So if you are talent, like myself, and wish to maximize and showcase your skills, put your money where you will receive the utmost satisfaction. It's here with Voices.com.
By the way, no one has asked me to write these remarks--But I feel compelled to help other talent in determining how to best invest their resources--especially if funds are tight.
Since I joined a few months ago, I upgraded my status and continually enjoy all the efforts Voices.com has has devoted to promoting my abilities.
Voices.com --a company worth buzzing about!

Voices.com...End of Story
- Written by David Ciccarelli
- November 28, 2006
I continue to be impressed with the strategic thinking of those behind Voices.com...their efforts have really benefitted me well.
They are the single, number one online casting service for a reason; they see the big picture. What do I mean by the "big picture"? They continually mold and shape Voices.com on behalf of the voice talent and the voice talent seeker. This "book-ending" encompasses the multiple facets of the voiceover business.
If they were to focus on the talent alone, they would be like other casting services...their "big picture" approach sets them apart. That's great for voice actors like me and equally beneficial for talent seekers!
Now THAT is a success story everyone can participate in!
Continued grace to all in 2007.

As Creative Services Director, for Norman Lear's ACT III Broadcasting, I would have given anything to have an staff as responsive and caring as you have in Laurynda.
I have recently joined your organization as a VO talent and I can't resist the temptation but to tell you how responsive Laurynda Vineyard has been in assisting in every way possible to negotiate my way around the site. Although I been in Commercial Broadcasting for over 20 years, doing VO's via Internet is new to me.
Without fail, whenever I have concern, issue or technical glitch, Laurynda has the resolved my concerns immediately. Quite frankly, she's a wonderful asset to your company.
Good luck with your endeavor, and thank you for allowing to articulate my KUDOS! regarding your superb employee.

"Many of my projects have turned in to ongoing ones."
I have been a Premium member with Voices.com for almost a year now (2005) and am so glad that I found it. Almost daily I get audition notices through and it is always exciting to see them. More often than not of late, I have been getting direct contact from clients without them sending out a generic audition and I think the personal profiles have really helped with that. I probably book more by the direct contact than I do through submitting the custom demo at audition stage.
The amount of work I have received through this site has easily covered any membership dues - it is worth every penny! The projects are interesting and everything is very professional and above board. So far touch wood, I have had zero problems being paid - usually fully paid up by Voices.com clients within a week. Many of my projects have turned in to ongoing ones.

"I cannot recommend InteractiveVoices highly enough. They are the absolute cream of the crop."
"With the coming of the Internet, a whole new world opened in procuring talent. There are many sites out there, and they all have their own methods, but the best, by far, is Interactive Voices.
The best way I can describe my love for their system is...it is totally "human." Unlike other companies that retain a sort of anonymous feel with their talent, IV allows the talent to write to perspective employers and this put such a human edge to the process.
Best of all, the turnaround time is simply phenomenal. On a recent project, within 24 hours, I had over 50 auditions of talent reading my supplied copy. This is nothing short of a miracle!
It is a credit to IV that they have such a tremendous stable of talent and that they are all willing and able to provide quick turnaround and friendly, affordable service. I cannot recommend Interactive Voices highly enough. They are the absolute cream of the crop."
