Vast Array of Talent
I wanted to take a moment to commend you on the vast array of talent you brought together in one place.
Within an hour of posting my 2 jobs I had dozens of demo takes to listen to. The hardest part is choosing one since they are all so good.
This is an amazing service for someone like me who needs professional voice over work but can't break the bank or spend hours calling to find someone.
I'll simply conclude with, job well done.
Kind Regards,
Michael S. Wade

Voice of the ADDY Awards
A big thanks to Voices.com for giving me the opportunity to be the voice of the 2012 ADDY Awards!
The ADDYs are the world's largest advertising competition, and conclude with an Oscar-like gala revealing the winning entries for the year.
Voices.com job, #49382.
What a Week!
Voices.com has been so great to me since joining in 2011.
My 2012 has started off with a bang, as just in the past week, I booked 4 jobs! I hope the run of success continues throughout the year.
Thanks for all the work you guys do so that we have the opportunity to make a career in this business. Much appreciated.
Brazilian Voice Talent Amazed By Voices.com
When I made my (gratis) profile at Voices.com, I thought this was just one more P2P website. But soon I was booked for my first comercial project!
The interface is userfriendly and the project I took part in was voiceover for a video, which will be distributed to Brazilian hair dressers, showing them the benefits of using a new professional tool. So, I had lots of fun recording the voiceover and narrating about beauty. But as a new member I had to learn the Voice.com ways of dealing with clients and projects, so during the process of recording I needed support from the Voices.com Team, who was always quick and effective in answering my questions.
The communication with the client through Voices.com was fast and the job was quickly done. That's how I got my first 5 star rating and feedback! ;-)
I was so excited from this great experience, that I've upgraded my membership, so that I can enjoy the full benefits that the website offers! And to my surprise, I've started auditioning for comercial projects every week! This is a great number, especially considering that I wait for Brazilian Portuguese projects!
I only have to thank Voices.com!
Small Project - Great Success
I stumbled upon Voices.com when looking for a voice actor for a small project. I just needed 100 different animal names read out loud for a children's mobile app.
24 hours after posting the job I logged in was happily surprised. 28 qualified bidders were interested in the job. Actually the hardest part was choosing between the many talented candidates.
The result can be heard in my just released Android app: 100 Animals for Kids.

Thank You Voices.com - another quality gig!
Voices.com has an excellent interface, well organised casting and content. Wish your whole team were this side of the pond!
On a recent job, director Matt Lichtenwalter was of course a great professional. He supplied me copy and context. He has a musician's ears - wanted uncompressed files - so we worked to get the recording perfect! The script was dramatic, perfectly scored for voice, based on a classic French novel. A strong character running a gamut of emotions is such fun to do.
Mr Lichtenwalter took the trouble to leave excellent feedback on both performance and technical quality - the latter is rare indeed.
Live Webinars Help Bolster Visibility
As a listed talent with Voices.com, I gotta say, these people are consummate pros in the trade.
They hold live webinars to help the talent bolster their visibility, they send many leads and go to great lengths to match one's talent with the client's needs.
An awesome company to use to advance oneself in the trade!
Professional Venue and Tools
Voices.com has provided me with quality services to access clients to produce voice-over work for almost 4 years now.
Their staff and team consistently work to improve this service to increase my exposure as a voice talent by providing me with a professional venue and tools to promote and increase my availability of new and current clients.
They are attentive to focusing on my needs, listening to my ideas and helping me with my questions.
Learn & Earn!
Voices.com is the premier online voice over 'agency' (for lack of a better word). They provide me with job leads, which I audition-for, and hopefully get HIRED for as a voice over.
Stephanie, David, Lin and the whole group at Voices.com are the ULTIMATE in professionalism, unlike many other online services. I recommend them highly... and know that if you choose them, you're on the right path to "LEARN & EARN!"
Professional, Friendly, Detail Oriented
Over my 20+ years in voice over, radio and television, I have never worked with a team that is more professional than the Voices.com Team.
Every time I call on them, they take care of me within minutes, with friendly people that really want to do a good job.
Professional, friendly, detail oriented, on the ball...... just a few key words to describe the Voices.com Team.
I highly recommend that you give them a try! They are the best out there when it comes to voice over services!
Very Happy With Voices.com
This site is great! It's easy to understand and makes working for clients and getting paid by clients smooth and enjoyable for both parties. Communication with my client through Voices.com was seamless and I loved using Voices as the forum.
I enjoyed the ease of sending my files to the client and being guided by Voices about how to do so. It was my favourite part [of the SurePay process] because sending files is sometimes the most nerve-wracking part of doing a job.
Technology is tricky and never fail-proof, so it was amazing to have a place to go for everything related to the job.
Voices.com Really Is The Best!
I have been a member for a couple of years now and I am very pleased with all you offer; auditions, clients, training tools, an ever improving website.
For the past two months I have been wrapped up in an audiobook project and have not auditioned. But today I was back and on the second audition of the day, I landed the job.
Voices.com is always there and they take care of both sides, the client and the talent...Thanks again!
Great Folks at Voices.com!
I just wanted to drop you a quick note to tell you that I have really been impressed with the customer service I receive from your folks, especially from Scott Lumley.
He is always a pleasure to work with and is always very responsive to both clients and talent. Look forward to continuing to work with all the great folks at Voices.com!
Voices.com Helps Get Your VO Engine Going!
I am currently signed up with Voices.com and I figure for $39.00 bucks a month - what the heck!!! I am getting access to what looks like 8 auditions per day based on my category so far. How can you beat that? In fact I now have 2 paid jobs after just a month of auditions! It's exciting and motivating all at the same time. You don't have to get dressed up and the feeling of independents is priceless.
Sure, you do have to act quickly just as if you were a stock trader, BUT, It really comes down to your skills as an actor. I don't think I'm the greatest, but, I practice everyday and I have so much fun in the process!!! I study the current commercial field, paying more attention to the commercials than I do the TV programs!!!
For those who are thinking of getting into this line of work, Yes, it can be tough and competitive like anything else, BUT if you really and truly want it and practice-practice-practice it will pay off in much more than just money!!!! Ask lot's of questions and do your research. I would suggest even getting some form of mentor to the business if you can.
But, Voices.com has opened the success doors for anyone that wants to take a shot at the VO Industry. It is totally affordable, the staff is second to none with Jennifer, Scott and John who have been absolutely fabulous!! They take the time to answer the questions most of us have had or will have. Always professional, always courteous and very friendly. They even laugh at my jokes! (:
A very wise VO Guru once told me, "Sean the great thing about this career is, you can do it til the day you croak"!!! Thanks Mr. Nakamoto!!! And thanks Voices.com for making the industry much more beginner friendly!
Voices.com is an awesome and affordable way to get your VO engine going! For those of you considering a career with VO, Voices.com is a super place to start!!!
Awesome Support Staff!
By far, Voices.com has the most awesome support staff on the planet!
Each time I have had an issue they were there to bail me out - in spite of my harsh words in those moments of frustration.
You guys are not only real pros, generous and kind- but have very thick skin! Thanks for not being like the rest of the freelancer sites out there.
3 jobs done now with Voices - and feeling great about the momentum!
Wish me luck on those big projects!
Booked My First Job In The First Week
I used to be a member of a different online casting service and still have several recurring clients, but I had taken time off to get my little boy raised and ready for Kindergarten (5 years).
During all that time, I had maintained a free account on Voices.com. I was really happy when Sheldon, a Voices.com representative, contacted me during a special promotion to ask if I'd like to try a month for less than ten dollars. It gave me a chance to ramp up again, experiment with equipment and pricing and see what this new site could do.
I booked my first job in the first week, a quick on-hold voice. The second job was for a political ad and one is on hold pending a new script. Including the pending script, I have made about $600.00 for my $10.00 investment! I also got to meet a local producer and was asked by another if I would give him a rate for ongoing work.
This site has been great - easy to use and soooo helpful. I was more than happy to buy a year's membership (paid for by my first job). I coach local talent and will be happy to recommend this site to my students!
Love The Changes!
Hi Voices.com Team,
I just wanted to let you all know that the new changes, the percentage match and the gender match are great! And whether or not a voice has been reviewed!!! Also great.
Love it!
I Know I'm in Good Hands at Voices.com
Hi Voices Team!!!
I just wanted to thank you for this amazing service and link to the world of voice over! I joined in May this year but had to put my new career on hold until last week. During that time I trained with the amazing team from Voice Coaches and completed my demo a couple of weeks ago.
As soon as I was able to launch my career, again, I popped back on Voices.com and immediately started auditioning and listening to the PodCasts and rereading the eBooks I've purchased and BAM! I landed my first voice over gig through Voices.com. And, guess what? It was the first audition I submitted since coming back on!
That is a testament to all of you at Voices.com for all the training you give and most especially to my new skills developed and inspired by Voice Coaches.
Voices.com is an amazing resource, especially for people like me who are just starting out. I don't mean just starting out in this type of art but just starting to actually build business using my talents! The market is competitive and I know I am only in the beginning stages, but with the help of everything I've learned from VoiceCoaches.com and Voices.com I know I'm in great hands and well on my way.
Thank you all so much...I am a Voice Artist.
Fearlessly yours,
VO In His Own 'Write'
It's rare, I think, for a home-studio VO to be involved in scripting. The job was a warm-up for a top-line American stage psychologist (no names, no red faces!) who said in the audition spec if you can improve the script go ahead.
As we all know, most copy needs sub-editing and much is not truly written for voice, even when it's come from a pro agency. So, grabbing the chance, a full rewrite on the demo, with half the word count of the original!
Customer delighted. Job awarded. VO proud.
We sure get variety and challenge through Voices.com - thank you.
51 of 85 Auditions And I Got The Job!
I'm writing to share about my most recent booking through Voices.com. Specifically, I've read observations on social networking websites and reviews about how winning bookings through Voices.com "is such a numbers game, you need to submit your audition faster than any other applicants, forget about ever getting reviewed if you're not one of the first to respond..." and so on.
Now, I realize that the "Pay to Play" marketplace is not for everyone, and it is very easy to get discouraged when you see so many other talents landing jobs you "know" you should have gotten, if only you had been poised over your computer when the listing popped up, and you had the chance to beat everyone else to the audition but this really was not the case with my latest job.
I responded to an "Educational" listing by submitting my primary demo, which includes samples of my teaching and narration delivery. When the job "Closed" on the Hiring board, I was listed as submission 51 of 85. The client responded to my submission with a request for a sample reading of their text, and from that custom read, I was awarded the job.
The client shared with me that he had listened to close to 90 submissions and chose me because he liked my voice and "teaching" delivery, I had placed an emphasis on "reading to instruct," and indicated that he would like to collaborate on future educational projects!
In my experience, the Voices.com marketplace is just that - a marketplace. There is a lot of competition for the jobs that are listed, and I'm sure that many talent feel the urge that to be "first in line" is the only sure way to be awarded a job. In this case, my marketing plan of responding to a listing with a demo that was specific to the client's needs, and following up with a custom read, in a timely manner, moved me from #51 to #1!
Many thanks to the team at Voices.com for a service that puts me out in front to those who need the best of what I do - teach!
English Butler Ring Tones App
Voices.com is always very easy and intuitive.
Although there's an option for the voice seekers to add that they're looking for a British voice, nowadays a lot of people think that the traditional British accent is Cockney as opposed to the Queen's English because of the Geico ads!
Also, some folk don't know they want a British accent until they hear it, so I get to do every audition just in case!
I always try to interact with the clients as much as possible so I really know what they want. I have to say I think it's a shame the majority of voice seekers don't give any direction in the initial audition process.
My most recent client was a repeat customer and told me to improvise. The voice I was doing was for an over the top English butler for a mobile app, somewhat like John Cleese from Monty Python or Fawlty Towers. How can you not have fun doing that!
I Have Officially Recorded Every Word in the English Language on Voices.com!
Voices.com has been good to me from the very beginning, now accounting for at least a quarter of my new and repeat business, but my most recent client provided me with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to leave a lasting legacy in the voiceover industry.
In July, a job was posted for public auditions to record every word entry in The American Heritage Dictionary for use online and in education. I duly submitted my proposal, and was honored to be selected for this challenging task.
After more than a month of hard work, daily uploads, and shock at how many bizarre words are actually considered part of our dynamic language, I completed the job before departing on a well-deserved vacation. 2006 pages, and 1 very happy client later, I can likely claim the distinction of being the only talent in the world to have recorded and been paid for every word in the English language......and all thanks to Voices.com!
UK Voices Needed By British Producer
Video game voices continue to support me!
Just finished a great project for a UK client who needed 2 distinct British voices for his game. He was very satisfied with the results and I look forward to working again with him soon.
I love this stuff!
Two for One!
Being completely bilingual surely has its perks! At least, that's what my MOM used to say.
Well, I proved that to be correct again as I recently auditioned for a Voices.com job posting in English. It turns out, the end user needed several more voices in different languages, so I was selected to perform the company's French VO as well!
OK, so I am capable of speaking Italian and Spanish on top of the original two but I still have not managed to get a handle on Russian yet!
Anyway, the response was fantastic. The people who recruited my bilingual voice talent were as well and, I must say, it was refreshing to find a well written script that took voice pauses into consideration!
Now, if I could just land a bilingual narration from the Discovery Documentary folks
I would be... well, singing more praises in several languages!

Is Your Audition Good Enough To Air?
That was fun!
I just did an audition about an hour ago and was then contacted by the client who asked if I would add just the one word I left off the spot (purposely) so they could get final approval.
I edited in the one word and uploaded the file and within minutes it was awarded, accepted and paid.
I always make my auditions as clean as I would for a finished spot and I always pay close attention to time even on auditions. This isn't the first time this has happened, but it always makes me feel good when it does.
It also reinforces the old saying, "Do it right the first time."
Years Of Steady Clients
It is without hesitation that I recommend the services of Voices.com. This company and its team members are a unique entity to the Voice Acting world.
I have developed YEARS of steady clients because of their services and have been able to advertise my services as both a voice talent and a voice coach. The exposure and education value alone is worth joining for.
Voices.com cares about it's members and it's proven time and time again with their personal touch. We are forever grateful for their service and personable nature.
YOU WILL NEVER GO WRONG by joining or using the services of Voices.com - I speak as an actor and as a client.
Thank you Voices.com for all you do! Without you I wouldn't be where I am today.

I Signed Up and Recieved My First Job in 8 Hours!
I signed up for a premium membership and within 8 hours I received my first job opportunity!
Needless to say, after the first 24 hours, my membership has already paid for itself.
Thank you so much Voices.com!
Better Late Than Never!
Here it is June, and I just booked an IVR job I auditioned for in February...of LAST year!!
That's another one of the great things about Voices.com...not only is it easy to use and gives you access to all kinds of jobs, but you never know when your next gig is right around the corner!
The audition process is a lot of work, but if there is one thing I have learned during my 3 years with Voices.com, it's that if you keep pluggin' away, good things will happen!
Thanks!

Regular Clients and Steady Income
I got into the voiceover business many years ago back in the UK, commentating on Snowboard events. When I came to the US, I had no thoughts of getting back into it, because I associated it with Snowboarding, and I knew no-one here in the industry.
Years later at the insistence of an American friend who knew of my past, and who later sent a demo to one of my now regular clients, Hitachi, I re-launched my VO career.
But the most inspirational help I have had, has been Voices.com. From the great podcasts, blogs and articles to someone actually calling me up to help me maximize the potential of my page on the site. You guys have truly helped get me where I am today in this business.
A steady income, great regular clients and new clients sending me work that they don't even put out for audition, I owe so much to you... Thank you!
Kindest Regards,
My First Voices.com Gig
What a great experience I've had with my first Voices.com booking.
You guys cover everything--the offer, the file upload and hosting, the invoicing--leaving me to simply record and act! My previous online source left me with finding my own FTP and invoicing systems once I'd booked the job.
I'm really looking forward to booking more work through Voices.com now that I know how well you have covered all the bases so I can just act on mic. Brilliant.
Many thanks,
Danielle Rayne
5 Star Rating For Voices.com!
I just want to say how much I love your service! I've been looking for an honest and professional voice over service for many years online and offline, but I was unsuccessful. By pure luck I found you guys on the web and I was blown away by how fast voice talents were beginning to send demos to me.
I ended up hiring Jeff Conwell. He has a great voice and I liked that he quickly introduced himself and then went the extra mile to provide two samples of our script. That set him apart from the rest and I have to say, his sound quality is also very good.
What I like most about your service is that I could listen to how my script would sound on most voices. Your service rocks and gets my 5/5 star rating. I'll be back for more business with you guys.
Warm Regards,

Making The World A Better Place, One Recording At A Time!
I hear a lot of talent talking about the voice work they don't want to do, or the kinds of scripts they always say "No!" to. But I've found that if you're looking for what you do want to do, what fits your ideals and your schedule - it's there!
For me, working through Voices.com with Hand Crank Films was just a perfect experience. During our session, we actually discussed how great the end client was, and how impactful their work was in their community (which this project was part of).
It takes the focus away from "How much am I getting paid?" and turns it more toward, "What legacy am I leaving?" Not that money isn't important - we all know our work has value. But sometimes, there's "soul value" too. And I'm glad that through Voices I found another client that earned me some.

Voices.com Is The Missing Piece Of The Puzzle!
I'm glad that I found you through Google. I wanted to say that I love the fact that I can count on Voices.com for all of my voice over talent needs.
The missing link to many ideas is the voice. Narration is very underestimated and plays a key role in any commercial and or narrative project.
I'm a cinematographer and director. I own a production company in South Florida. I am so happy that now my needs to cast voice over or any type of voice needs for my projects is one click away. I now feel that I can complete what before seemed as just an idea with the footage I had captured. Now the idea can and will be developed and completed thanks to Voices.com.
I wish I had found out about your services sooner, but I found you and I'm super delighted! Your company is a great tool for anyone who is in need of voice over talent. Very easy to navigate, and very secure. I love the "you don't pay until you are happy with the recording."
Thanks to you and your team. You have a great company that will be my new voice over service from now on.
Best regards,

Surprisingly Simple
Hey Voices.com crew!
I have to say, doing VO work is great, but doing it through Voices.com is AMAZING!
The ENTIRE transaction, from auditioning through payment acceptance was a breeze and there was never a need to leave the comfort of my own home.
This was my first job through Voices.com, but it instantly resolved the typical headaches of trying to get a VO project done.
Many, many thanks for building this terrific VO resource that's incredibly user friendly. I never had to search for what to do next and that was the most valuable time saving solution I've seen in a long time.

Voices.com Talent
Voices.com Is Easy And Efficient
I was able to communicate effectively and efficiently with my overseas client, and together we turned the job around within a day!
The most enjoyable part of the experience was that hours after posting my demo, I awoke to find a deposit for the job in my account and very brief, clear instructions for the read.
This particular voice over was for an internet tutorial movie instructing the viewer on how to best use an image database - as a teacher, this was a natural project for me!
You Guys Rock!!!
Dear Voices.com team,
We were doing a Samurai video trailer where we needed an American English VO with a Japanese accent. We had an incredible choice but finally went with the most believable VO.
The ease of use and incredible talent pool made us decide to use the service. Receiving sample voice overs was incredibly useful in deciding the best suitable VO for our project.
First time we used Voices.com ... TOTALLY AMAZING!
A super happy client!

The Proposal Project A Success
I'm a voice actor who uses your service from time to time getting additional VO assignments.
Several months back a job was posted by a Producer/Director for TVLand, John Sinclair.
I auditioned for the job and got it. The part I was playing was that of an old man thinking back on his life.
Subsequent emails and conversations with the producer told me the goal of the project was to propose marriage. After several months John told me he had presented the production to his target audience. She said yes.

Makeover Mondays Helped Me Get A Slew Of New Hits
As I try to make a habit of, I was at the May 2nd makeover webinar and I must say, thanks to your Makeover Mondays, my profile looks fantastic (in my opinion), and has had a slew of new hits!
You guys also got me looking up other folks' pages, and I am expanding as an artist, thanks to y'alls help...even had a private invite!
I firmly feel that you girls are helping me get my $$ worth this year! Thanx!
Platinum Social Media Consultation Huge Perk!
One of the perks of becoming a Platinum Member of Voices.com is having an in depth consultation about the benefits of today's social media.
Ya' know that commercial where the actress looks a bit foggy until she miraculously clears up and is seen in full vibrant colors? Well THAT's just how I felt after my conversation with Ashley Hall, Social Media Manager!! It was like stepping into a whole new vibrant world of marketing possibilities that could now be clearly seen!
Twitter, Facebook, Word Press, LinkedIn, and sharing tips from my 35+ years of VO experience... just to name a few! Yup. I have now officially entered the 21st Century.
Thank you sooooo much for taking all that time to introduce me to the benefits of social media!!! I thoroughly enjoyed talking with Ashley and am extremely excited about all she taught me. It's a whole new world, and I feel like I finally JUST stepped into the 21st century!! Voices.com is certainly fortunate to have such a terrific representative in their group!
Distance No Object At Voices.com
I was recently hired to do work for a radio station in Dublin Ireland, even though I'm English and live in the USA!
I can't think of any other company except Voices.com that would enable such a multinational project to work so seamlessly.
Great service for all creative professionals!
Charlie Neil - Splendid & Charming!
We had a specific vision in mind for our company's voicemail message. We crafted a script, posted a project and received a prompt reply from Ms. Charlie Neil.
We opened up our script for Ms. Neil to "make it her own" and the result was better than we imagined. I highly recommend Voices.com, and specifically, the talents of Charlie Neil!

Three Quick Jobs in a Row!
I became a Premium member at Voices.com in January. I was submitting 10 to 20 auditions per day and was becoming a little frustrated about not getting any jobs.
All of the sudden I got three-in-a-row with a promise of more business soon from one of the clients.
So far, I have gotten more work from this site in three months than I did on a competing site in one year!

Three Part Webinars Helped Me Negotiate My Son's Contract

Thanks Voices.com for my first paid gig!
"You're our man!"
That was the response to my audition! We negotiated a rate, set up a time to record a telephone directed session and boom! Client loved the result, I loved the work and the check! And this, just shortly after I upgraded to Premium. So thanks Voices.com for my first paid gig!
Cheers!

Doesn't Get Any Easier Than This!
This was one of those great jobs when you audition, totally forget about it, and then several weeks later, get a notice that a deposit has been made, and you apparently got the job.
I record the project and send it off without ever having direct communication with the client. I used the audition instructions for direction.
Within an hour of sending the file, the funds were released, and I had a 5-star review.
Does it get easier than that?!
My Profile Review with Success Manager Kelly Matthews was Awesome
Hi Stephanie,
I wanted you to know that I recently upgraded to Voices.com's Platinum membership and today was my first telecon with Kelly Matthews. As an MBA and Marketing and Social Media expert, I was eager to have another pair of well trained eyes thoroughly review my profile. Not only did Kelly meet my expectations of her ability to draw and capitalize upon her experience as a Success Manager, she far exceeded them. It was quickly evident that Kelly had insights that could only be offered by someone who was not only talented but truly eager to ensure my success.
Thank you for all that you and your superstar team continue to do for relentless talent like myself!

Voices.com Customer Service Second To None!
Your customer service is second to none! I have never felt more comfortable dealing with customer service. Everybody responded with a "smile on their face". You know how you can hear a smile over the phone? Your people made me feel their warmth over the internet!
Now, I will not be doing voice overs through the internet. I need to get personal attention here in Boston to do an analysis of my potential before I make another step.
Thanks for being kind.

Makeover Mondays A Big Help!
Thank you so much for 'Makeover Mondays' and for the privilege of being a part of it a little earlier. It was my very first web 'chat' session ever and although was a bit daunting at the start. I thoroughly enjoyed it and am very grateful for the Makeover and tips.
I will definitely be putting them all into action over the next few days and will let you know when it's been done. Thanks again for an awesome Web Site and for the service which you guys offer which I have not found matched to date by any other Voice Over sites. You genuinely do care for the talent you represent.
Harpex Voice-over
This is the first time I've had work via Voices.com and I must say I'm very pleased. I sent a demo of part of a script to the prospective client who'd contacted me last night, he considered the delivery "perfect" for his purpose and everything has been delivered to his satisfaction already.
The last piece of the story will be my receiving payment, but everything is absolutely clear about bi-monthly dates for that, so all in all it feels like a pro-show!
Thanks and all good wishes.
Great Price, Great Quality
I searched around looking for voice talent and was consistently quoted well over $600 for just a minute or two of quick call sign readings.
I came to voices.com and found the perfect fit, quickly and at my price point. The quality of the end product was simply outstanding. I'll be using you for all of my voice over needs.

There is no PayPal here, so every time I land a job David Ciccarelli sends my payments through Western Union! Thank you Voices!
Voices.com's Management and Customer Service Among the Best
I have really enjoyed being a client of Voices.com. They have done a superlative job on many fronts: creativity of product and service, innovation, business growth, marketing, customer service, responsiveness and networking.
Their management team and customer service are among the best I have ever worked with across any product or service and they take a very thoughtful and personable approach towards providing value for their clients. They not only excel at what they are hired to do for voice talent and business customers looking for voice talent, but also provide many extras...going above/beyond the typical call of duty. Said another way: they are a highly proactive team!
Bravo, and I look forward to my continuing association with Voices.com!! I highly recommend other voice talent as well as customers seeking voice talent to do the same!!
OIART Student Applies Voices.com Advice: Working With Voice Actors
Dear Stephanie Ciccarelli,
Thank you very much for your great talk at OIART a few weeks ago. We just finished up our 'Stiletto' assignment last week and it turned out awesome. Your advice in working with the actors came in very handy when we had voice talent come in; all the actors enjoyed themselves and wanted to work with us again (and so did we!).
Thank you very much for you help and I hope your business continues to be very successful as I'm sure it will.
Sincerely,
Dennis Nicholson

About OIART
Twenty-eight years ago, Paul Steenhuis -- an exceptionally talented musician, audio engineer and producer -- recognized the recording industry's need for high-quality, professionally trained sound engineers and music producers. In 1983, he founded OIART to provide the ideal learning environment: an intensive, efficiently orchestrated one-year diploma program delivered in a professional recording studio setting -- the first of its kind in North America.
With a five to one student-teacher ratio, our instructors spend a wealth of time with students, providing highly personalized instruction. This, plus an abundance of hands-on studio time, is the reason OIART offers career opportunities beyond those of other similar programs in North America. And here's the proof: our graduate placement rate is nearing 90%.
OIART stands for the Ontario Institute of Audio Recording Technology.
Thinking Like An Agent Has Me Auditioning Less and Booking More
Hi Stephanie,
You can add me to the recently hired list!
I just started back with Voices.com and decided that this time I would not just audition everything that came my way, instead I would really look to my strengths and spend a little more time in putting a good audition together.
I got hired last week and just like last time the process is running smooth.
With the exception of one overseas client, all my voices work is a result of my association with Voices.com
Yes it does work...
Thanks again,

Working with Voices.com is easy.
The steps were easy to understand and it was a cinch to complete the job with your support!
Thanks!

Update: Since booking her first job in early December 2010 with Voices.com, Michele has gone on to be hired four more times as of this posting (February 24, 2011) and has received 5 star ratings from each client she's worked with to date.
Thank You For the iAudition App Webinar
That was a helpful webinar on the iAudition app - and nicely timed for us the other side of the pond! Thank you Marc Aflalo, Mitchell Whitfield, Scott Lumley and Stephanie Ciccarelli.
M&M set a fine example of listening to the needs of their users, and responding immediately.
This innovation will go a long way - literally. It's an awesome prospect, to be able to audition in good quality from anywhere, record, edit and mail off.
Amazing Results From a Small Investment
I'm grinning from ear to ear! A number of clients have contacted me this month with private invitations to audition and ongoing work. This is truly amazing! With the gigs that I've booked, I've made enough to pay for my membership for several years to come. Clearly, this is exciting for me and my voice over business is growing much quicker than I had anticipated.
Ongoing education is important for growth and I appreciate the free webinars you provide that are part of my membership. The variety of topics has been stellar, my favorite was the one on mastering the audition. I've come away with at least one golden nugget from each one. The "a-ha" moments have been numerous.
I've had the pleasure to use Voices.com customer support and each time my issue was resolved in a friendly and professional manner. Other business could learn a thing or two from your support model.
Thank you Stephanie and the staff of Voices.com for helping to make my voice over business the success that it is today.
Thank you!

I have been a member since October 15th of this year and have booked three jobs. It is so wonderful to wake up and see "private invitations" or a notice from you guys that "I have a payment in escrow." I have been out of the industry for five years raising my autistic son by myself, and am now back in it FULL TIME and FULL FORCE!
Thanks so much to voices.com and the courteous staff who ALWAYS respond QUICKLY to even the most MUNDANE QUESTIONS!!!

Voices.com Is Tuned In And Gives Sound Advice
Voices.com has been a part of my voiceover marketing plan since 2005.
They are very tuned in to what it takes to begin as well as sustain a successful voiceover career.
The staff is personable and approachable, and offer excellent value in education, marketing and audition opportunities.
I highly recommend Voices.com for any voiceover actor!
Great Communication With Clients at Voices.com
I have already had voice seekers for whom I auditioned contact me and thank me for the audition and let me know that, while I was not chosen for that particular spot, they wanted to make sure I knew that the audition made a positive impression and they will have me on the short list for future spots.
They don't have to do this, of course, but my thought is that Voices.com has made the interface easy for them to jot a quick note and send off....THANK YOU.
Voices.com Has Connected Me With Many Fantastic Clients
I am a voice-over talent that auditions through Voices.com regularly.
This site is AWESOME and has connected me with many fantastic clients.

Hey Voices Team... Wanted to pass on some thanks. Booked another 3 jobs from the site last week.
I appreciate how simple it is to upload audio and connect with the client through your site. Keep watching for my auditions. In the meantime, if you could contact Hollywood for me. I'd like to start doing movie trailers. OF COURSE... I'll need you as my agent (just kidding).

I Was #66 And Booked The Job!
Dear Stephanie,
It was a day of one interruption after another. I was going to be wayyyy down in the queue by the time I got my finished tracks sent in ....and thought, "well, why even try." I was surprised and delighted to (at #66) actually get the job. A friend of mine told me that he recently booked a job at #89. It's hard not to give up when there are over 50 people ahead of you, but I've learned that it can and does pay off.
Thanks for the opportunity to share and your wonderful customer service at voices.com!
Sincerely,

As a voice talent, Voices.com and the staff their have been invaluable to me and my business.
They help connect me with clients and provide many resources for both clients and voice talents alike to partner together on projects. Their staff is professional, knowledgeable and extremely helpful and courteous.

Without Voices.com I Wouldn't Be Where I Am Today
I have had huge success with Voices.com. Without them, I wouldn't be where I am today. Not only have I had plenty of voice over job opportunities, Voices.com has a lot of very helpful information on their site - that's not only valuable to newbies but the seasoned voice actor as well.
Their business values and customer support is top notch.
I'm so glad to be a part of Voices.com and highly recommend them.
I Have Nothing But The Highest Regard For Voices.com
I have nothing but the highest regard for Voices.com.
They have proven to be a very valuable resource to me as a Voice Actor, not only in their primary function of connecting clients with voice talents, but also in the abundance of information and assistance they offer in every aspect of the Voice Over business.
I Love SurePay Because it Protects Me and the Job Seeker
Within the last month, I have completed two projects through Voices.com. I've worked with other online agencies (and marketplaces) and this is by far the easiest and most professional site I've used so far.
I love the SurePay set up which protects me and the job seeker.
The second job was just as painless as the first one. The more time I spend on the site, the more user friendly I find it. It's so convenient to be able to email, send files and handle payment all in one place. And both clients I've worked with so far through Voices.com have been fantastic!
Thanks so much!

I Owe Much of My VO Growth To Voices.com
Hi Stephanie,
I have to say, that I've read the not so nice blogs about P2P sites, and I want you to know that I valued my experiences on yours (Voices.com) VERY VERY MUCH, even though I never got a nibble. It taught me to work my equipment, refine my technique, learn how to bid, and write cover emails. I hope you continue with your fine site and helping others in the industry. Your offerings of educational materials are FANTASTIC.
I owe very much of my VO growth to you and your organization.
Caryn Clark's Voice is Wii "Fit" Plus
Hi Stephanie!
I hope you're doing well!
I wanted to drop you an email to share a little story with you so that you can share with your staff.
Last September (2009), I received an email via my voices.com account from a gentleman explaining he needed a vo for a marketing video for the new Wii Fit Plus. In responding to the email, I learned that this gentleman was from Nintendo. I offered to do an audition. The script wasn't attached - just a description of the sound he was looking for and a contract, and I was thinking that perhaps he sent this invitation to a number of folks. He replied that an audition wasn't necessary... he liked what he heard on my demos and that was good enough for him. We agreed to a rate (a very fair rate) and I did the job last week (September 2009).... easy peasy. They're happy, I'm happy. The marketing video will apparently be shown in stores and on the web.
I just wanted to share this story so that you are assured that there ARE really great leads and clients that make their way to voices.com. I'm sure this has to do with your marketing efforts to potential clients. Thank you for all you and your staff does!!! Keep marketing to those top notch clients!!!
Thank you!!!! Caryn

P.S. The video Caryn is referring to, among other clips she's voiced, can be watched on her website http://www.thehipchickvoice.com by clicking on the Videos button. The Wii Fit Plus video Caryn narrated is still playing across the country in retail stores this holiday season (2010).
I Booked a Job That Stretched My Abilities
Justin, with Magic Ink Books, offered an interesting variation on reading The Night Before Christmas. The read was actually just a small part of the work, as he had divided the script into 28 parts, and each needed to submitted as a separate file.
It was good stretch of my technical know-how to figure out how to lay down the read and then divide it up, debreath it, and make the needed mp3 files. I got it in ahead of schedule and Justin seems pleased. Fun project!
Great things happening at Voices.com
Good afternoon, Stephanie, and everyone!
I just want to commend you and your staff at Voices.com. You must be doing lots of things right, because yesterday and today I received so many audition opportunities.....it was amazing. Sadly, I've been busy both days, but the greater picture is that your reputation for excellence is spreading and it appears lots of companies are using you. So, I read many comments on Facebook that appears to feel there are too many VO artists joining Voices.com, but while that may be true, it seems to me that as you grow in both areas, it all works out in a balance.
Thanks for all you all (sounds like I'm southern) do in this industry.
I wish everyone at Voices.com a wonderful Christmas filled with love, laughter, friends, and family!
Best regards,
Susan Manhire

Voices.com is the Best Site I Have Found for Voice Talent
Voices.com is really great. It is the best site I have found so far for voice over talent and recording studio options.
PicPocket Books publishes children's picture books to the iPhone and iPad as apps, and I use Voices.com when I need help with our audio tracks.
Boy Dumplings has been my only Voices.com project so far, and the talent was Aze Fellner.
I anticipate that we'll be moving over from our local recording studio to Voices.com for future projects, as we were very pleased with the process and results.

Calibre of Responses and Depth of Experience at Voices.com
What a great experience! As a small business owner, and first time Voice Over client, Voices.com made things easy.

A Big Fan of Voices.com Talks About Hiring Talent
Ever wondered what clients are thinking as they use Voices.com to hire talent?
Last week, I had the opportunity to speak with someone who had used the site to audition, cast and hire a professional voice artist.
Adam Roop of Jacob Tyler Creative Group joins me in this interview, discussing how he found the site, what mattered most to him as a client using it and why he chose the talent he did.
I've Enjoyed Success Through Voices.com
I have been part of many voice over sites but have enjoyed the most success through Voices.com. From time to time they post client usage statistics and tips on how to improve your odds in the auditioning process. Along with practice and coaching the information I have learned here has dramatically improved my odds. I've booked three jobs in the last week and a half at Voices.com.
Thanks to Stephanie and the Voices.com team for their helpful resources and valuable contributions to the voiceover industry. You rock!

So, thank you Voices.com.

Mike Kirby On How Voices.com Changed the Business of Voice Over
Download Mike Kirby's Voices.com Success Story »
Hi Mike Kirby here at the Voiceworx Studios. We all love to do voice work because it's quick, unpredictable, pays well and it doesn't matter how we're dressed. Voice work can be intensely exciting, too. Just you, the microphone, a page of text and that wonderful sound of your voice resonating in your headsets.
Thirty years after I started, I'm still doing voice work. Apart from the normal visits to Toronto sound studios for commercial and narration sessions, I've got some clients who reach me farther afield by way of phone patches to my home studio.
Now thanks to modern technology, I can walk into my studio, put on my headphones, step up to the microphone and talk to Oklahoma, Dubai, Bermuda, Hong Kong, anywhere. Today, most established voice performers have home studios in which they use their signature voices to service radio and TV stations and commercial and corporate clients on an ongoing basis.
Not too long ago, being a network voice for example, meant giving over to regular visits to their studio maybe three, four, five times a week. Nowadays, you can take your microphone and computer with you anywhere, anywhere you want to go and send your voice through the Internet by way of an MP3 file for example without any loss of quality.
Today, the possibilities are limitless for voice over talent. Technology allows us to service an international clientele just by setting up a website and advertising our voice demos across the world on Voices.com.
And so voice performers, practice hard, create a great demo, build a list of producers, always say yes and the next thing you know, you'll be living your dreams too.
I Completed 26 Videos with a Narrator at Voices.com

I have recently been working on a very large project of 26 separate videos, all of which have the same voiceover artist.
The client has made changes, and has made the process very lengthy, but Lora Cain has been amazing. She is hard-working and patient, and she has a great voice. I have very much enjoyed working with her on this project and I cannot thank her enough for making everything so easy.
Very professional, very talented artist.

I Got Hired Twice in Less Than One Week
Rob Ludacer hired me to be the voice of the milliner in his short animated film The Man Who Sawed Off Manhattan. I auditioned with a cockney accent which he liked and during the course of recording, he asked if I could shift that shifted to a light Irish accent, which was a blast! He was great to work with!
Within a few days, I booked a second job! This one was with the Mountain View Group and it was for a corporate training video. It was fast and they were great to work with!
Thank you Voices.com,
Voices.com Has Been the Single Most Valuable Resource For Me
Hi Stephanie,
I just wanted to take a minute to thank you (and everyone else at Voices.com) for all of the fantastic information and opportunities to learn the art and business of VO. From your podcasts, daily emails, videos, and documents, you have been the single most valuable resource for me as I have ventured into Voice Acting over the past 2 1/2 years. I think I have listened to every podcast you have put out, and I have taken something away from each of them.
While I have read many books on VO, I find that the information you distribute and discussions you spur have been significantly more helpful to me personally as I try to learn this business. I'm still trying to hone my talent as a Voice Actor, but seeing enough success to continue forging ahead. After about 18 years in corporate America in the health care software business, this leap into VO is both frightening and exciting. Thanks for providing guidance for people like me wanting to break into this business.
I meant to come introduce myself to you at VOICE 2010, and I'm sorry that I did not. Hopefully in '12. :)
Thanks again!
I've Received over $15,000 of Voiceover Work through Clients Finding Me on Voices.com
Wow, I just did the calculation today and realized I've received over $15,000 of voiceover work through clients finding me on Voices.com!! Granted, it's been 2.5 years, and about $9,000 of that came from one returning client, but hey, they found me on Voices.com!!
I've been a member since late 2007 or early 2008. I remember it felt like no one was listening to my auditions and I was wasting my time. I had several cases where I was in the running and then they "went with the other guy." Discouraging. Then I recalled an old voiceover pro who once advised me, "Voiceover is a numbers game. I audition at least 50-60 times, and then book one job. Auditioning IS the job, doing the gig is the fun." Yep.
I booked my first job through Voices.com on July 14th, 2008 for Gearshift Studios. What a great feeling. Since then, there have been hot months and slow months. Those first few years, when the Voices.com Membership Renewal came due, I remember seriously wondering if it was worthwhile to pay the fee. Now I'm a believer. Athabasca University, The Mosaic Company, The University of Minnesota and Xhale are just a FEW of the clients who found me on Voices.com and have used me time and time again without even opening it up to other talent for auditions. But they FOUND ME initially at Voices. Thank you!!
Stephanie, I LOVE Voices.com, because it's a site where it feels like you're actually trying to HELP the talent GET WORK, instead of just TAKING THEIR MONEY, like so many other sites. There are so many resources and tips and things on Voices.com that it's overwhelming and I've barely scratched the surface!!
Thanks for always being ahead of the curve and keeping us in the loop on the latest business trends. Your service is invaluable, I recommend it to others, and I look forward to meeting more long-term, returning clients through your site!
Thanks For Making My First VO Job an Exciting Experience!
Hi there,
Just wanted to leave a note regarding my first voice-over job. I was a little nervous about doing the recording and also exactly how Voices.com system worked. But all that soon faded because of the step by step guide I received via email. How to send and receive files, contact the client, leave feedback, etc. were all outlined to me via automatic email notices from Voices.com.
THANKS SO MUCH for making my first job an exciting experience!
I Could Kick Myself For Not Joining Sooner
Not to many weeks ago I received an email saying... "try Voices.com for one month for $1."
I actually hesitated at first. I mean, I had my profile at Voices.com but never did much with it. So, OK. For one dollar, what do I have to lose. I can purchase an app for my iPhone for a buck and get no revenue back in return, so what the heck. Here is my dollar.
During the one month period, I not only made back my dollar... I made it back with enough to pay for a one year subscription, plus more! It seems now that I am always in the "recently hired" listing as well.
It take diligence and a business like approach to consistently take the time to run custom audio for auditions, but it certainly pays off.
Thank you Voices.com for sending me the one dollar offer. I could kick myself for not joining sooner.
I have gotten some great gigs and have already (in less than 2 full months) developed direct return clients.
Sincere appreciation and thanks to all of you.

An Immeasurable Assistance in My Voiceover Journey

Hello Stephanie,
I would like to take a minute and say "Thank you." Your webinars have been an immeasurable assistance in my voice over journey.
Smiles,
Voices.com Helped Me Along The Way
Dear Stephanie,
I've been so glad to be part of Voices.com team for 2 years now. I've enjoyed benefits of different memberships, had great job opportunities and got paid for what I love to do. I am also a member of VoiceOverUniverse, which is a great opportunity to break out from my small country's business and dream with the big guys :)
I am just here to tell my little success story, in which voices.com takes a big part. In Hungary, I was a first-grader in 2006 on the university, and had the chance to try myself on a local radio station. Big Booom, I knew that's the only thing I want to do in my whole life! I started to work hard and got a job by another, bigger radio station, where I was a full-time news broadcaster and also had a show for myself. It was the hardest thing for me, but all my money were spent on basic studio gear, for my home.
After I left, I really started looking into voiceover business, and found your site. I started my career as a VO actor and finally had enough cash to build a small booth where I can do my demos. I've uploaded them to the site, and whoa! I've got my first job as a VO actor. By the time and the hope for success I went to Hungary's biggest dubbing studio, Mafilm, where I've been voicing now every Hollywood movie since then. Not alone, of course :) I got into the commercial business and got my own Voice Acting, Dubbing and Translation service company, which is small but covers some parts of the Hungarian commercial business. I've worked with companies who holds today's biggest markets, and I'm still in a good relationship with my clients.
Two months ago I got a call from the Hungarian National Radio and was invited as a news broadcaster. I already told yes, before the question was given. A big part of my dreams came true thanks for a bit of courage and Voices.Com!
And I am 22 years old!
There are some people, places, faces who helps you through the way, and mine is and was Voices.com.
I just wanted to let you know, that I'm here, so we won't be strangers anymore!
Thank you!
I Finally Booked a Job
I got a job.
After almost 1 year of hard work and daily auditioning, I finally booked a job. It makes it worth it, when you are able to tell your mom you got your 1st job and she has tears of happiness. That is priceless.
Thank you Voices.com for this start.
Voices.com is Comfortable to Work With
Hi Stephanie,
I just wanted to drop a personal note to say how comfortable Voices.com is to work with. I had a terrible year with a different service then my Voices.com friend Shelley Johnson said I must join here. I've only been a member since late March and it's fun.
First off I would stack your customer service up against anyone's. The gold mine of resources and the best FAQ section I've ever seen don't hurt either.
Hooking up with other VO people has been the best though. People are far more generous in helping you than I gave them credit for. The webinars are excellent. My new friend DC Goode just told me he loves them too.
I'm trying to get another talented VO friend to join. He is already on the basic membership but I keep telling him to look closer at Voices.com.
Thank you and have a happy and productive week.

Commercial Voice Talent of Voices of Vision Shares Story
Stephanie,
I just thought I'd drop you a note to tell you how excited I am to have been awarded the "Voices of Vision" job on Voices!
I was contacted this evening by Shawn Maroney, producer and event organizer, who said he has chosen the commercial spot I had written, voiced and produced about Voices of Vision, to air on local Toronto radio stations promoting the upcoming voice conference in the City.
It's the first of its kind in Canada, and will feature such big names as character voice performer Pat Fraley, M J Lallo, Voice actor/coach, Deb Munro and Toronto's very own Elley-Ray Hennessy to name a few. It's a three day event which takes place September 23-25th at the Holiday Inn International Airport. And, I am very much looking forward to attending.
If it hadn't been for VOICES.COM, I wouldn't have known anything about this exciting gathering of "like" minds and voices...nor had the chance to participate.
Thanks again!
I Cannot Tell You How Helpful Power Profiles Has Been
Dear Stephanie and David,
Thank you so much for hosting today's Webinar. I cannot tell you how helpful it has been.
Hearing you explain the importance of client testimonials was only one of the important pieces of information that I am taking away.
I have been with Voices.com for three months now, and wondered why I have not booked work. I have several clients who have praised me in the past but I didn't take the time to request that I use their quotes. I will get right on that!
Thank you again. I look forward to your next webinar, and sincerely hope I can join you.
A Press Release Written For Me by Voices.com Landed Me 3+ Gigs!
I have had jobs from my demos alone!
One that comes to mind is through Sony Music... doing spots running in India for various albums/groups. That was a pleasant surprise.
Also, the first Save the Date wedding trailer I did was based on a demo. That gig led to a press release from Stephanie, which lead to at least three other Save the Date type jobs.
And, I frequently hear that a client liked my demo but contacted me for other jobs they had in the future. The demos do sell my voice!
I Got Hired By Someone Who Heard My Demo on Voices.com
Hey Stephanie and everyone at Voices.com,
I just wanted to drop a quick line of thanks your way. I had heard of this happening but "never thought it would happen to me." I let my Voices.com membership expire. I let it expire because I simply didn't have the time needed to devote to auditioning that I felt I needed to have available to make a good go of it. My first and last year as a paying member was fruitful and the gigs I booked could have paid for many years to come. Again the reason I left was because of increased work flow (contracts with HBO Plus, Yelp.com and bing.com).
All of a sudden out of the blue I get an email from someone that HEARD A DEMO on VOICES.COM. I had no clue that my demos were even still posted or that I still had a page over there. They heard a demo and presented it to a major author who has a major book coming out. They booked me for the trailer. This was made possible by the practice of not deleting (or hiding) someone's page on the site during a "paying" membership lapse. If THAT doesn't make the value of membership VALUABLE, then>>>>!!!!!
And now the end of the story. They took longer to pay than had been discussed. I contacted them after sending my file with no watermarking. They assured me that approval was on the way from the author and just to give them two more days. I did and no word. I contacted Voices.com not because I wanted my money but because I wanted to see if there was a time limit imposed on clients for payment. I was told that you all have a process in place for this kind of thing and that you all would check with the client... (they are a great production company by the way and were fabulous to work with) Less than 24 hours later permission to release the funds was granted. I appreciated the tag team approach as I really didn't want to irritate these producers by hitting them up over and over again.
So that's it. Just a thanks for not deleting my page, for being there and ready with great customer/client service and just for providing so many valuable tools to the voice over community.

I Would Not Have Landed the Biggest Job of My Career Without Voices.com
I was recently contacted for an audition from a company who found my Character demo on Voices.com. After many subsequent auditions, call backs (and a few months) I was finally selected to be the new voice of the CAR FOX for CARFAX!
I can't thank Voices.com enough for providing such a great service to voice talents like myself. I would not have landed the biggest job of my career without Voices.com, thank you Stephanie, and all the great people at Voices.com!
Check out the new CARFAX spots, already live and on National US TV! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHcd4r6U6gc

I Feel Honored to Have Been Chosen as the Voice
Hey Stephanie...
Wanted to let you know I took you up on your $1 for the 1st month, introductory offer. I don't know why I was holding off so long. I guess I wanted to see the kinds of jobs Voices.com was getting and the kind of rates clients were offering. But when the $1 offer came up, you hooked me. I couldn't not try it.
Well, within the first 5 auditions, I landed a gig that would have paid for the entire year, (if I hadn't taken you up on the $1 offer :) ). The client was awesome to work with, the project is beautifully shot and I feel honored to have been chosen as the voice. And to boot... they paid the next day. I have to say, I'm mightily impressed.
You can see the final here: http://gorilla-pictures.com/gorilla/st-michaels-abbey-update/
The layout and ease of use with Voices.com is really great. I'm looking forward to exploring more and getting used to how everything works.
Also looking forward to getting lots of use out of my ISDN box with Voices.com. I'll be an auditioning maniac.
All the best,

I'm Sooo Happy I Found Voices.com
New to the system, January I think, but I booked two good jobs. The piece was for CX Corporate Web Video.
It's been a blast and I am sooo happy I found your site.
What a great way to stretch the voice and make some well earned money.
Thank you,

Kicked it Up a Gear and Landed 3 Jobs in as Many Weeks!
Stephanie,
I happened to resign with Voices.com for a month back in May just to try things out again. Despite many auditions, I didn't land anything so I was going to let it expire. For some reason, I was automatically renewed for another month...BINGO! I landed 3 jobs in as many weeks--the best one just came in today!
While I've been doing fairly well in voiceovers for the past few years, I wanted to kick it into another gear by signing back up with Voices.com in hopes of landing more jobs. It has done just that and I'm now considering signing on for the year!
Just thought I'd let you know.

The Icicle Story App Would Not Be the Success it is Without Voices.com

Voices.com Provided Amazing Efficiency to Me as a Producer
I'm Daniel Rucci a freelance video Producer based in Chicago and Boston. I produce for ad agencies and production companies and have had the luck of being busy enough this year that having Voices.com in my back pocket has been a life saver.
I found out about Voices.com through a colleague who handed me a New York Times article about the changing world of video production. The article highlighted some great resources online for creating really high quality content with new methods and online services.
Voices.com was the one service that immediately jumped out to me, and since it's essentially free to use, as a producer I was totally committed to trying it-- you always have to be trying new things in this business. It seemed like a simple concept--post your audition, listen to a few examples and select a voice.
I was doing a commercial for a major national brand this winter, when it dawned on me to use voices.com for the first time. I posted the tag line script and the rate on voices.com one afternoon, and walked away. Within several hours, I had more responses than I could imagine, and over the course of several days I believe I received over 100 auditions. It was amazing!
The best part was the amazing efficiency to me as a producer. I received over 100 auditions from a huge variety of talented artists, quite an eclectic mix including first-timers and storied professionals--what a treat!
With such limited time I was overjoyed that I didn't have to deal with CDs, online reels and an edit/assembly of an audition clip. I could send the samples to the client right off the bat with a little download and voila!
Credit Card processing was as easy as buying something online, and everyone was happy.
...it was almost too easy. So much for racking up days trying to coordinate voice auditions. Voices.com totally helped me be successful in this project; I have recommended it far and wide within my industry and I plan on using it again.
Keep up the good work guys.
Entered VO After Watching the Don LaFontaine GEICO Commercial
I entered into the voice over world after watching that Geico commercial with the late great Don LaFontaine.
With practice, determination, and just a little luck I've completed my first official gig; a documentary for PacificLines narrated with a Kenyan accent.
The client had questions, and I called Voices.com and Scott was great.
Thanks Voices.com for making a dream become a reality!

Trilingual Voice Actor Loves Voices.com Redesign
I just wanted to let you guys know that I absolutely LOVE the new format of the website!
As a trilingual voice actor, being able to quickly determine which language all of the Jobs that are currently "Hiring" are seeking will make me so much more efficient. Thank you for making my life and job easier!
I Was Thrilled to Land an Audiobook Project
My first experience was excellent. After a lot of auditions, I was getting a little discouraged. But I wasn't about to let up.
I'm an actor, so I was thrilled to land an audiobook project; a Crime Drama, playing a kidnapper. One chapter has already been recorded in order to pitch to publishing houses.
The author, Michael Fiegel, is a terrific writer and extremely nice guy, so the experience was excellent.
Thanks, Voices.com.
One Job I Booked at Voices.com Turned into a 5 Figure Contract
Hi Steph,
Just wanted to say again how much I love voices.com! One of the jobs that I was hired for last year has now evolved into a yearly high 5 figure voiceover contract!
It's funny when I first started with voices (not really knowing that much about the service) I wondered how long it might take to earn my membership fee back. That seems downright laughable now.
Thanks for everything!
Liz de Nesnera is an Outstanding VO Professional!
Just wanted to say how pleased we are with the work Liz did for us. Our project was a video demonstration of our product, BiteFX, which will be posted on our corporate website. The product is targeted to dental professionals and is a CD with animations the dentist uses to help communicate complicated diagnoses to their patients.
Having produced and hired voice talent for a number of videos (promotional, in-service, educational, etc.) for scientific and medical audiences, I have found the female voice to be the most preferred, and really liked Liz's tone and voice modulation - very consistent, great articulation, excellent pace. She is an outstanding professional and a worthy asset for your company! In two days she completed the job for us with no mistakes!

Producers Contact Me Directly Through Voices.com
Hi,
I just wanted to send a message of thanks. I'm so glad I signed up to your site, my membership paid for itself in the first month and as well getting jobs through auditions I've been delighted by the number of producers who have contacted me directly through your site.
A few days ago, I got a message from someone putting a video together for Vodafone - the world's largest mobile communications company. After a few messages back and forth they ended up giving me the main voiceover. They'd heard one of my demos here which was the style they wanted for their job. I just had to email them a copy they could play to the people at Vodafone and confirm my availability and rates.
I did the job yesterday and they've told me they were really happy with my work. This production company also do a lot of work for Microsoft, Blackberry, British Telecom and Cisco Systems amongst others and said they'll be using me again. I even got offered some more work by the owner of the studio I found so they could listen in and direct me by Skype.
All in all a great few days and just another example of how your site is such a benefit for voice artists.
Thanks so much,
Simon Phillips
Your Site is Amazingly Helpful

I've Made Over $21,000 in Jobs From Voices.com in 13 Months
Hi gang!
Just wanted to share with you how happy I am with Voices.com and the quality of work I am receiving. In the past 13 months, I have received over $21,000 in jobs from your service. This includes my most recent job award from today, that totaled $4,000.
There are many folks out there who like to bash the "P2P" sites, but I can say that you have provided me with wonderful opportunities and strong client relationships, and I enjoy being a partner with Voices.com!
What A Nice Way to Start The Day!
Ya just gotta love it when the client accepts your audition and doesn't want to change anything, and decides to use your audition as is for his project!!!
I sent in an audition a few days ago and yesterday there was a deposit made in the escrow for the project, but no instructions on how to proceed. So I wrote the client and thanked him and asked for some direction on how to proceed. He wrote back and said he liked the audition the way it was and didn't want to change a thing.
What a nice way to start the day!
I'd like to share a recent experience with a Voices.com client who gave me a 5 out of a 5 Star Rating
I am ecstatic about my new Platinum Membership with Voices.com. Fairly quickly, I started receiving private audition requests one of which was extremely challenging and rewarding by the end of the project. The rate also was re-negotiated for a mutually beneficial arrangement.
In the words of my client about the Provenance audio book narration: "EXCELLENT WORK! Did more than what was expected. The voice is incredibly clear, enthusiastic, and precise! Thank you Paula! Your work will be cherished for years to come! Many blessings!" (from Violy McCausland)
...and thank you, Voices.com!

The Voices.com Customer Service Team Always Delivers
As a member of the Voices.com community since February of 2009, I continue to be exceedingly impressed with the quality of my experiences here. The simplicity of client-to-provider communications, the user-friendliness of the interface, and the real-time email notifications announcing new projects are all excellent features of the site, I'm most impressed with the extraordinary response and attention the Voices.com customer service team always delivers.
I'm happy to say I have recommended the site to five different people, at least one of which has joined up and is now an active member!
It's easy to see why Voices.com is the leader in this market, and I'm proud to have launched my career with the best voice talent company in the industry today.
Voices.com is awesome, keep up the good work!
Voices.com A Happy VO Home!
Stephanie,
We recently spoke on the phone about a technical problem I was experiencing. As I told you then, I am overwhelmed by the kindness, followup, and support of the entire staff at Voices.com.
I was a member of another on line company for a year, and as good as you all are in your handling of we VOs, they were that bad. I always felt like I was imposing when I needed help. They took days to return emails or calls, and when they did, it was quite apparent that they were busy, bored, or just didn't care.
Needless to say, I joined "Voices" last fall with much apprehension. Now, I feel encouraged and supported by every person who has answered a call or an email. I have had the exhilarating feeling of seeing the words "You Have Been Hired!" in my email and as a result, have worked for some great clients.
So, I must encourage anyone seeking a comfortable, happy VO "home" to join Voices.com and feel the difference a professional, growing, and open minded company can make in their careers!
Best Regards,
Voices.com's Service Facilitates Fully Informed Relationship Building
One of the best things about being a voice talent and producer using Voices.com to prospect on a regular basis is that it gives me the opportunity to get in front of some producers and agencies repeatedly, in a way that wouldn't be possible outside of this platform!
Those that post jobs regularly get my audition for each posting, and over time, learn more about my range and consistency in delivery from those custom reads than I could ever tell them in a cover letter, or even show them in a stock demo.
And since you're one of the few places that *will* reveal their contact name and description, I'm better able to structure my quote with information that's tailored to their needs, and not redundant from audition to audition.
My last two new clients have been producers who post frequently on Voices.com. They'd heard my voice over time, and were able to find the right projects where I would fit. I was better able to provide exactly what they needed, because I, too, was familiar with their expectations and communication.
Thank you again, Voices.com, for providing a service that allows for consistent, fully informed relationship-building!
One Booking Paid For 3X My Subscription Fees Since 2004
Hi Steph,
I just booked a national spot off Voices.com! Chemistry.com for TV and web! It only took 6 years! LOL!
That booking essentially paid for 3 X what I've paid to VOICES.com since I joined in 2004. Quite an excellent return!
Honestly, I've actually made a living from the clients I've booked from Voices.com. It's always been a very successful part of my whole marketing package.
Thanks for being there!
Clients That Get It!
Just completed a project for a client that works with the United Nations.
It was a clear request... a good audition and a quick response from the client with a "green light." I completed the job today and had feedback and payment made all within 5 minutes of completion.
You just can't ask for better service both ways than that. In fact, I got so busy earlier today and since I hadn't gotten right to the clients project when I wanted to - I sent him an email letting him know that I had his project next on my list of work today.
I love it when a plan comes together.

My first time using Voices.com as a client was successful

Hi Laurynda,
In addition to being one of the voice talents on Voices.com, I'm also a producer for Basset & Becker Advertising. Recently, when our agency president exclaimed that we had to get our talent and production charges under control, I suggested using Voices.com. I mean, as an agency, we're always pitching the use of the Internet to our clients--designing cutting edge blog sites with social media capabilities, streaming video, etc., etc.--so, shouldn't we be embracing the Internet ourselves? I was cautiously given the go-ahead.
So, today, I did a quick casting for a last-minute radio spot we have for a local Nissan dealer... and boy did you guys deliver. I had over 30 auditions in about 90 minutes, and making the choice was a tough call.
Johnny George got the job, but I bookmarked five other voice talents for possible future use. All-in-all, this has been a fast, simple, efficient and totally professional process. And our agency president is sold on using Voices.com for future voice casting needs.
Now, I guess I'd better re-think my reluctance to cough up the $300 for my own premium membership, huh?
Best regards,

Voices.com was the Answer to My Narrator Needs and Then Some
I shopped online at several other sites and even advertised on Craigslist for a narrator. Weeks of trudging through tons of correspondence to find the perfect narrator.
Voices.com was hands down the best experience. At the end I literally had to narrow down my choices of fantastic narrators for my project.
My chosen narrator, Michael Corkill brought my documentary alive with his narration in a way I literally couldn't even have dreamed of.
Top notch narrators and fantastic service. I can't thank you enough!

Your Webinar with Simon Vance was Wonderful!
Hi:
Your Webinar with Simon Vance this afternoon was wonderful! You folks covered more areas that needed explaining than any other presentation of this type I've ever been involved with.
The idea that we were listening to a guy who is in the trenches, so to speak, and knows the problems from everyday events, is just great.
A most informative hour that answered many of the tough questions.
Thanks very much.
Good Reasons Why You Should Have a Profile at Voices.com
Dear Voices.com,
I was recently asked by an aspiring VO artist what was so great about P2P sites. My answer mattered because this guy actually went through the trouble of building a studio in his home, and he is thinking of going online with his talent, -which he is slowly viewing as a business. Trouble is, he's also an actor, and used to dealing with the old "agency representation" model of getting work. So he has reservations about this "new" (can we even really say that now?) platform.
Where to even begin? Do I need to educate him on the web altogether?
How can I reassure someone skeptical that not only my highest paying gigs but also my most prestigious gigs have not come from any of my many reputable agents, but rather from my strong online presence?
These buyers found me online! I actually brought these great gigs to my agents, so they could negotiate them for me! Talk about a reversal of roles....
In my opinion Voices.com is the prime example of why having a profile with a reputable P2P site is key to a successful VO Business, and you have become an essential part of my marketing mix.
I single you (Voices.com) out versus any other P2P out there because of the time you spend on SEO for relevant rankings: the interlinking you do, the blogging, the newsletters, the affiliate sites, (and God knows what other magical Internet strings you are pulling), make you a force to be reckoned with on the Google search engine. These days no producer is unaware of you. It's often "the" place they go to find talent. This is a Google fact us VO talents can get lots of mileage out of.
I can tell the streamlined platform makes it easy to find relevant talent, send them a direct audition and/or just hear demos without getting anyone involved (who wants to do that anymore!).
But the irony is, that we voiceover talent pay to be a part of Voices.com, because we feel we can audition on the site every day and have an actual shot at booking a job.
But in reality, it's not the auditioning I get the most out of (sure I do okay when I do have time to audition), but the fact that I am in there in the first place, with my bio and tagged demos: producers and businesses can actually find ME, read testimonials and rate me after they work with me. And no one takes a percentage! This doesn't mean I now get to be lazy, on the contrary; I still have to go out and there, target my market and get jobs for myself, but it certainly makes me more accessible and THAT is a huge part of my success.
In this platform, I am in control; I get to post a bio with keywords reflecting my business, I can tag my demos (again with keywords reflecting my business), thereby increasing my own SEO, with virtually no knowledge of the Internet. This works wonders, especially if I know something about my brand (entirely other discussion I wouldn't even attempt without a "branding" pro like Nancy Wolfson). And I know first hand that the effect is even more powerful if I can throw my own effective website into the mix.
So my answer to my friend?
With the old agency model, I don't pay, but I also have no control over MY business. And in this market, I would NEVER leave THAT in someone else's hands. Not with the incredible jobs and annual income that found me online in the past couple years.
Yours truly,
I Am a Voices.com "Long-Timer"; It's a Marathon Not a Sprint

Hi Ashley,
My voiceover year has taken off with a "shot" as the saying goes. However, I would be remiss not to mention that I am a Voices "long-timer". Over the years, I've had bookings through Voices and really believe it's a marathon and not a sprint.
An original booking through Interactive Voices (smile) 3 years ago, landed me an Announcer gig on the fishing show featured on ESPN2 Sunday at 9:30 AM "The Spanish Fly" which I 'm still doing. I had a great booking for the voice of a bucolic west Indian wanderer for "Red Robin" restaurants. Voices also was instrumental in steering me towards another "sweet gig" as the Voice of "Fatburger" the burger chain for a year.
Most recently, Voices reared it's "pretty" head again. KTXA in Dallas was looking for a voice to do station ID's, tags, Promos for the Big 12, Dallas Mavericks basketball etc. So, that led to an annual deal which is ongoing.
I don't know what year it was, ask Stephanie. I spoke to her at it's inception. Voices has been consistent, professional, and dynamic in keeping up with changing media.
Voice talent starting out - CLIMB ABOARD! You won't find a better way to get leads to work, market yourself, get all the encouragement/advice and earn some greenbacks.

In 1 Day I Have Had over 100 Listens to My Demos at Voices.com
I found Voices.com by chance online while I was looking for something that would help boost my freelance voice over career. I started with Premium Light. After I got my first gig, the client was very happy with the job and gave me a high rating. That's when my "listens" started going up. Every time I paid monthly, I noticed I was higher in the search engine.
Several clients later, I realized I was going to stay long term with Voices.com. It made much more sense to me financially to upgrade to Premium because of the savings. It only took two projects and my upgrade was paid for!
I noticed I was listed higher in the search engine and in one day, I have had over 100 listens to my demos on my Profile page and immediate inquiries from clients.
I also got emails from the Voices staff, with invites to Teleseminars, I received free eBooks and marketing ideas that are going to be invaluable to me.
I don't know why I waited so long to upgrade to Premium, but I can see that it is already paying off!
I have tried to work with other voice talent sites, but Voices.com is by far the most professional, courteous and helpful of anyone online---Hands Down!
Thanks guys, you are the best!

Hello,

Keep Plugging and You Will Be Rewarded!
Hi Stephanie,
To be honest, I wasn't sure if Voices.com was going to be the source of work I'd hoped it could be. I had done several auditions and hadn't landed anything. My eagerness didn't reflect the reality of the business.
What I've learned since is that it's not unusual- for a beginner or a seasoned pro- to audition 30+ times before getting a gig.
Well, wouldn't you know it? My frustration was short-lived because I ended up getting a "call back" on an audiobook audition through Voices.com. My second read did the trick. I just finished the book. The client really liked my work and now I've just landed the remaining two books in the series.
As you can imagine, I was thrilled with this and am looking forward to booking more work via Voices.com. And I have to add, once the job was booked, the process (logistics, payment, etc.) worked great!
I guess the messages are:
1) Keep plugging and you WILL be rewarded!
2) Voices.com IS a great source for finding gigs!
Thanks.

Thanks For Making My Job Even More Enjoyable
Just finished another great project with a client I met because of Voices.com.
I was contacted for a Private read, which gave me the opportunity to supply a custom demo that gave them the kind of options they were looking for. In many ways, this is even better than gaining clients through my own site, as so much of the legwork is handled by Voices. It really removes a lot of risk in working with someone new!
Thanks again for providing such a great service, that makes doing my job even more enjoyable.

You're Just as Warm, Friendly and Supportive in Person
Dear Stephanie, Jessica and Laurynda,
Thank you so very much for hosting last night's mixer. What a treat it was to finally meet you all! You're just as warm, friendly and supportive in person as you've always been via cyberspace. I know it was a long journey to come visit us folks in Dallas, but I assure you, it was a trip very much appreciated by everyone who attended.
Yesterday evening was a great opportunity for me to visit with local voice talent who ran the gamut from newbies "dipping a toe in the water" to seasoned pros. It's always fun to be in an environment where the common bond we all share is a love and passion for voice-overs.
Ladies, I wish you continued success and a prosperous 2010!

Dutch Voice Talent Melvin Vermeer Finds Success at Voices.com
Dear Sir/Madam,
I wanted to thank Voices.com for making this possible. I'm amazed by the way how this works. Since I've joined a few months ago, I have built up a contact list with people from all over the world. I have done several projects now and it has been very beneficial. In my first month I did a voiceover that basically paid for my Premium membership and I still have over 10 months to go! Also, it has helped me a lot with doing English voiceovers as my native language is Dutch.
So far it has been a great experience and I would like to thank voices.com for their excellent operation.
Many kind regards,

The Best Part of Voices.com is SurePay
Hi Brogan,
I have been doing impressions since I was a child watching Mr. Rogers and Sesame Street. I had always been fascinated with the voices of cartoon characters. I had a very accurate ear and could easily pick out who to whom the characters' voices belonged.
Years later, my wife created a MySpace page, even though I was totally against social networking. I saw a voiceover website link there and clicked on it. In November of 2008, I auditioned and they began representing me. I started professionally in February of 2009 and by March, I had already become the voice of Texas Steakhouse, a chain on the East coast. In mere minutes, I earned more than in an entire month of working a 40 hour-a-week job.
I went on to voice movie promos, videogame trailers, internet/radio/tv commercials, toy voices, and even some characters in an animated comic. I had tried working through a competing company, but their prices were high and they did not have a guaranteed way to get paid through clients.
That is when I found Voices.com.
They had flexible payment plans that would work with any budget and offered the same services only with better quality than the other service. The best part was that they offered "SurePay" which made it easy to get paid and removed the stress of worrying about whether a client would pay or not. I began getting voiceover jobs right away with great feedback from clients.
Within a month of auditioning through voices.com, I landed a gig voicing all the male characters of an on-going political webtoon that pays $400 per 5 minute episode every other week indefinitely.
The money I have made using voices.com has far exceeded my expectations.
Voices.com pays for itself!

How "Mastering The Audition" Turned My Voices.com Experience Around
Hi Stephanie,
I know it's nice to hear when things are going good with your company. I want to share something with you.
I was getting very discourage on not getting any jobs, I had 2 last summer and then hit a dry spell. I felt as if there is no way to compete with the great talent that is out there. I was getting ready to unplug the mic and hang up the headphones. I listened to a podcast on how to audition, decided to keep at it and just move forward. It was about a week later that I received a personal invitation to audition, in fact 2 of them. I did both, did not get one but I did land a gig with the other. I just finished one project and next month I will do a second for this client.
So I guess it's not that a voice talent can't compete, it's just you have to find where your talent is needed the most.
Thanks for your service and I hope to be part of Voices.com for a very long time.

Persistence Definitely Pays Off
Hi Stephanie,
I wanted to share a recent experience with a client on Voices. Aaron Pacentine puts together the OzCast series for VideosforFamily.com. I was happy to be a part of the final episode of the year as narrator, along with some other great voice actors.
The link to the holiday show can be found here:

I have been a part of the Voices.com community for a few years now and persistence definitely pays off. For anyone who isn't getting results from their auditions (I was one of them), sometimes it just takes time and keeping at it. You never know what a client is 'listening' for when they hear your voice.
I am happy to be a part of this project and just wanted to share that feeling.
Thanks and Happy 2010!

Auditioned in the Morning, Got Booked in the Afternoon!
Hi Stephanie,
I just wanted to thank you for the new teleseminar series.
After listening the the "Mastering The Audition" teleseminar a few times, I decided to make some changes. Updated my profile, my demos, and more specifically, the way I audition. Such as delivering more than one take and approaching my proposals more like a job interview in briefly explaining to the client why they should hire me for their project.
I tried this for the first time with an audition on the morning of December 21st and received a response from the client offering me the job early that afternoon. The client said specifically that he thought I had a firm grasp of what their project entailed. I haven't changed my recording methods, equipment or technique really, I just gave the client a few more takes and reasons why I should be hired for their job and voilà! I got the job.
I appreciate Voices.com for always striving to help voice actors to grow in their craft. You have been a tremendous help to me in my career. I am convinced that I am landing more jobs all the time partly because of the great tips and insights I have learned from you.
Thank you!

It has been really nice after all these jobs, all with a successful conclusion without having followed the procedure proposed by voices.com completely, to conclude and follow precisely this pattern: casting, choice of voice, deposit confirmation, receipt of file, approval, payment and finally comments and feedback.
A great system that clarifies the stages of work and puts everyone in a position to offer the highest possible since then everything remains visible.
Congratulations Voices.com. Nice working system.

I just wanted to give a quick thanks to you, David and your team at Voices.com as well as pass on that this summer I landed an audio book project for Harper Collins Publishers through Voices.com. Since that time I have landed two other audio book jobs with the same client because of the relationship that started with this client at Voices.com.

I Consider Voices.com to be a Valuable Tool in my VO Arsenal
I was approached by a production company via my web-page (and email) here at voices.com, asking if I would be interested in voicing a commercial for them on behalf of their client, whom was not named.
It was to be about diabetes type 2 research.
Wow! This was a couple of days after I re-signed up with you guys for paid membership.
Of course, I was thrilled...
1) to be INVITED without having to apply or formally audition.
2) because as an ex nurse of 30 years, diabetes is a subject that is of interest to me, both on a professional, and a personal level.
Personal level, because I have family members who have this affliction and who have difficulty with their blood sugar levels.
So we agreed on a price and I received the script a few days before the recording session. That was when I found out who my client was.
So the ad was voiced and produced, and I received a copy of the finished product just a couple of days ago. It is now my primary demo on my page.
I have to say that the gentleman from the production company was just that! Very professional, very kind and reassuring (this was my first job recorded in a studio other than my own, and my first big name job!... I was nervous, and anxious because of who the client was.. concerned that I would do a good job for them, and also at that time dealing with some very serious personal issues with hubby's health. So it was quite a bitter-sweet time for me)
Thanks voices! For a while I was thinking this site was a waste of my money, but now my whole perspective has altered and I consider you to be a valuable tool in my vo arsenal.
Cheers,

I Have Booked 20 Projects as a Direct Result of My Affiliation With Voices.com (within 4 months!)
Hi Stephanie,
Just wanted to share some Buzz with you and the gang.
I have been a member of Voices.com for just four months. As of this writing, I have now booked 20 projects as a direct result of my affiliation with the website. Nearly three-quarters of these were through the open cattle-call audition process and SurePay system, while the others were from people who (gasp) just happened to "find" me here.
Membership with Voices.com is a no-brainer and with each new job that comes along, I kick myself for not taking the plunge sooner.
Thank you very much for your fantastic customer service and easy access to the online marketplace.

Voices.com is Not Just a Service, it is a Partner.
I sometimes think that no one is listening. I submit so many auditions and that is the end of it. But, just like a golfer that hits a perfect drive, sometimes everything clicks: the audition is well received, the quote is in range, and the client communicates exactly what their needs are for the job. And in back of it all is Voices.com.
I'm on board with five different services but when renewal times come up again, that number is dropping to one, and that one is Voices.com. The people there have always answered my questions and addressed my concerns, not with some one size fits all answer, but with an answer that is specific to me.
When I dropped out of the service for four months last year they got back to me in a way that showed that they had personally looked at my site and listened to my demos. The suggestions they made were on the money and now, I am seeing something more than light at the end of the tunnel because of those suggestions.
This most recent job was for a casino in the western part of the states. From the time that the client bought my voice, Voices.com was right there with business agreements, milestone charts, etc, etc, etc.
Bottom line is that although I am physically located some nine hundred miles south of Texas, deep in the heart of Mexico, the programs and people of Voices.com keep me feeling as if I had an assistant sitting at the next desk taking care of all the minutiae needed to bring a project to fruition.
Funds were released this afternoon right on time. Voices.com is not just a service, it is a partner.

Posting a Job and Working with Talent at Voices.com is a Breeze!
Thanks to the folks at Voices.com for running such a site. Posting the job and working with the talent is a breeze!
The only issue - not really! - was the 111 responses in a 3-day period. It was too many to audition in the time available. So, only the first 30 in the list were actually auditioned for the 3 voices we needed.
It's great that this resource is available. Getting auditions and finished files back like nothing before!

I would like to express what a great place Voices.com is for non-English talents
Being a Japanese VO in the international market, opportunities to get jobs is less than English VOs.
However, competitors seeking voiceover work is also less in Japan, the home country.
Being able to communicate in English and being capable of providing translation of the script is the advantage that I have over many others.
Voices.com is one of the best tools for me to spotlight my skills to get jobs.
If you are looking for Japanese or any other foreign language VO talent, what will you do?
If you can't communicate in the target language, it is sometimes impossible to find a talent within the target market (country) that you'll be able to communicate with.
Not all VO talent who are native of the target language can communicate in English. I like to think that Voices.com performs like an international airport (hub).
Clients who are looking for a right candidate fly by like an airplane carrying scripts and money. VO talents are passengers who are waiting for the right airplane to arrive.
Voices.com is the one of a few places where I can find opportunities I am
looking for or that are right for my skills.
I do not want to end up with just being "Japanese VO" who only works within Japan.
Having a tool like Voices.com, I can fly virtually all over the world where opportunities are.
One more thing I really like about Voices.com is the different membership levels.
Being non-English VO talent, there are lesser jobs in the international market. There are fewer job posts compared to English jobs, sometimes none in a few months. Voices.com gives me an option to join on monthly basis.
If I see a good job posting, I join, if no jobs are posted for a while, I ask customer service to stop my membership to prevent renewal.
I know it is such hassle for them but they always treat me like a valuable customer. I appreciate the flexibility very much. Having such an option is a great thing for us and Voices.com is the only place where such a great option is provided.
Globalization is the key marketing strategy now. I am sure the demands for non-English VO talents will increase more and more in the near future.
I would like to express how great place Voices.com is for non-English VO talents like myself.
Thank you,

My Nancy Wolfson Demo is Getting Me Bookings at Voices.com!
Hi Stephanie,
I recently joined Voices.com, and wanted to share a quick success story with you!
I am a working VO actor, based out of Los Angeles, and while I've been getting work through various sources, including my agent, I wanted to branch out further to find job opportunities. My voice coach, Nancy Wolfson, recommended I get a Premium membership at Voices.com.
So I joined a couple months ago. I was busy with life, however, and didn't complete my profile right away.
Finally, I got my act together a couple weeks ago and posted my commercial and narration demos. I submitted one audition, and submitted my demo to another potential client.
A couple DAYS later, I received a message, from an interested client - who had only heard my demo, which Nancy made with me recently. We emailed back and forth a couple times and... ta-da!... I won the job!
So literally within DAYS of uploading my demo, I was hired for a job, which has paid for my premium membership!
So I just wanted to say THANK YOU for providing this avenue for voiceover actors to enhance their careers!
I look forward to many more opportunities coming my way through Voices.com (in fact, I've just responded to another person who's interested in hiring me from my demo posted on voices.com!) YAY!
Thanks so much, Stephanie!
Best,
I Am Seeing Work Come In And Am Closer To My Goal!
I can't tell you enough how much I am enjoying my (Platinum) membership.
In such a short time I am seeing work come in and the goal of being a full time VO feels closer than ever.
Thanks for everything.
Would You Marry Me, Voices.com?
Every time I work at Voices.com, it works for me.
Thanks for the work.
Would you marry me Voices.com?
I'm Impressed!
After an embarrassingly large number of auditions with no results, I finally get this e-mail from someone saying they're interested in my voice for their project. Me. Well, after getting myself upright again and re-checking the spelling of the name, I responded immediately and worked for some very nice folks.
I must say, I was more afraid of the whole Voices.com process involving SurePay and all than of doing the job. My fears were totally unfounded. The Voices.com system walked me through each step and it was effortless.
The added bonus was being included on the "Recently hired list" on the home page which caused my "listens" numbers to over double.
I'm impressed. I might stick around for a bit longer.
Thanks Steph and your wonderful staff.
Keep it up,
Roger Tremaine

A couple of weeks ago I was hired through an audition submitted through Voices.com. The client used the SurePay system which was new for me.
I'm quite impressed by how smoothly the SurePay system worked. The client and I communicated through email on a couple of things, but the rest of the job was handled through the Voices.com site. It made things very easy.
Thanks Voices.com.
Dollar for Dollar, Pound for Pound, Voices.com is the Best Thing in Cyberspace!
About eight years ago, I kept hearing new voices on local t.v. and radio spots that I didn't recognize. A little detective work on my part and I soon discovered that voices were now being hired from far and wide for my market area.
I should have realized it a few years earlier when I was in a session recording four local radio commercials for a car dealer.
The engineer asked me to take a break after recording the first spot, so he could mix it and send it off to the station. I assumed he was calling a courier to have a 'tape' sent over. After the session the engineer had shown me what he'd done and it literally 'blew me away'.
Thanks to high speed Internet he was able to send an mp3 file directly to the station. While driving home after the session I heard the commercial on the radio that I had recorded less than an hour ago.
"Technology, what a beautiful cutting edge thing." I'd thought to myself. Quickly I made the decision that when it comes to technology you either embrace it, or get left behind.
I became a member of Voices.com in 2005 and have never looked back.
Since the site was revamped last November it now has a host of other features that are very helpful and definitely put Voices.com a giant step above the competition. The fact that my web page has a visitor counter that lets me know exactly how many people have visited my site is a great asset to me.
I use my Voices.com web page to solicit new business all the time, and this way I can see that my efforts are bearing fruit.
As someone who is fortunate enough to do voice work full time, it's very reassuring to know I have a reliable partner in Voices.com who are constantly looking for new ways to make their service even better.
Dollar for dollar, pound for pound, Voices.com is the best thing in cyberspace!
I Was Amazed How Smooth the Process Was at Voices.com
I just completed my first job since being a member for just over a month.
I was amazed how smooth the process was.
Thanks Voices.com.

A Great Introduction into the Modern World of Voice Over Work
Hi,
My name is Randy Anderson, I joined voices.com at the end of April. I was in the VO world and broadcasting in the 80's to 1993. I left to pursue another career, (Fire Dept). I wanted to enter back into the VO world but knew many things had changed. I came across Voices.com, as well as other voice marketplaces, and knew right away that Voices.com was at the top of the game. From day one I have received help and direction, along with encouragement, to start to put my VO career back on track.
So fast forward to today (6/21/09) I have auditioned for many jobs, have been considered for jobs and landed an audio book job (70,000 words), which I just finished and the client has asked for me to start another audio book for his company.
During our uploads, we found there was a problem with the larger files, voices.com researched it out and discovered it was a problem with their server. Voices.com went to work and fixed the problem, keeping me and ultimately my client updated on the progress. This is what puts Voices.com at the lead of all voice over marketplaces.
Voices.com is truly committed to the VO Talents and will do everything possible so each and everyone who is a part of Voices.com is successful.
Thanks again for great introduction back into the modern world of VO work,
From a Lower-middle class worker to Voice Actor in a Few Months
Hi, I'm Jon Bailey and I went from a lower-middle class hardworking father of four to a voice actor within just a few short months.
I did 3 TV spots, 2 radio spots, and 3 on-hold messages for Texas Steakhouse.
I voiced 9 out of 11 characters for the award-winning computer-animated short film "Desert Heat" and the promo for Captiva Creations.
I did 30 celebrity impressions and 3 promos for the "Shake" comedy album.
I then did the trailer and narration for "The Harps" documentary and the promo for "Pimp the World" podcast.
I did a radio spot for Intermountain Healthcare and then a videogame trailer for "Spectrobes: Origins" for the Wii.
And lastly, I did a national TV spot for the Star Wars: The Clone Wars "Turbo Tank!"

The Voice of God in Alabama
Dear Stephanie,
I began my subscription to Voices.com about two years ago and in the beginning it was a struggle.
I would get up every morning, check my invitations and away I would go auditioning for as long as my voice could hold out in the heat of my small studio. It went on like that for 6 months, audition after audition with no results, sometimes the feedback would indicate I had come close but not close enough. I tried every voice nuance I could think of, every possible angle to make a breakthrough in the business but alas no such breakthrough was forthcoming.
Then one day, in the middle of a particularly loud and energetic read, I hit the red line and I just gave up.
I asked myself "Why am I doing this, why would I torture myself this way and all for no gain, no encouragement, just rejection."
In a total fit of anger and frustration I ripped my script in half and threw it on the floor and unbelievably began to jump on it , like an animated ape in a cartoon. What a sight I was, ripping, jumping, yelling at the world at full throttle.
Eventually the moment passed and I picked up the shreds of my script and deposited them in the garbage and I prepared to change the scenery a bit and go out for a walk.
As I pulled on my sweater and laced up my shoes I heard the familiar sound of an incoming email. I had no idea whom that email might be from but I poked my head in the my studio, just to take a peek, and there it was, my first paying gig, on the screen for all to see and, not just any voice over, it was a sign from above.
The client's name was Stacy Cobb and he ran a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre in Alabama called the Foundry. His ministry reached out to the homeless and the helpless and without judgment of any kind it would offer food, clothing and love to those in the most need.
What they had chosen me for was to be the voice of God in a television commercial.
The voice of God.
It was very humbling particularly in light of my previous tantrum and it served as a reminder that the universe is a wondrous place and if your heart and mind are open and you can keep your own faith and belief in yourself and your inner talent then keep on auditioning and working with your friends at Voices.com because every now and then miracles do happen, and you can take that from the voice of God in Alabama.
Great Opportunities For Jobs Available via The Internet
Dear folks at Voices.com,
Thanks for your words of welcome, albeit auto-generated. I still feel the love.
I appreciate the help and support that you provide to people like me who are just getting their toes wet and are very new to the industry. I'm probably a little late to the party, but that's ok--I'm a quick study.
I've been told for years that I should narrate and perform professionally, so now here I am.
I'm also thankful for the Internet and the more level playing field it creates in a profession like this. In the past, you needed to know someone who knew someone else in order to find an agent, find an agency, and then shop yourself around. The Internet opens many more doors, especially to those in the initial stages of a career.
So therefore, I thank you, Voices.com!
Voice Over Dinosaur Discovers a Miracle
Very, very recently, in a galaxy close, close by, there lives a Voice Over dinosaur who was completely oblivious to the wonders and technical developments of instant audition invitations and the capacity to zoom out custom demos at light speed with a moment's notice. Gone are the days of Dixie cups and string. Farewell to packing your demo reel on your back and trudging through the marshes and tundra trying to avoid the tar pits while foraging for your next gig.
"How did this come about," you may well ask. While wading through the waters of the internet while exploring the possibilities of how to get back into the v/o biz after a 20+ year hiatus, this "dinosaur" luckily happened across a miracle. This panacean web site not only has literally tons of valuable and pertinent information about how, what, when, and where. It also hosts a veritable gold mine of who's. A treasure trove of experts and professionals with the generosity and grace to share their copious knowledge of the ins and outs, the do's and don'ts, the why's and wherefore's with the entire voicing community with nuggets of wisdom--no matter what your experience level.
Of these shamans and spirit guides that could instruct and lead one out of the Jurassic era into modern day methodology one in particular drew my attention with the depth of her knowledge and the amount of information that she shares through this wondrous site and she lives right down the street from me in Dallas, Texas--REALLY!
That is how I found Bettye Zoller who has poked and prodded and instructed and encouraged me ever since. Discovering Bettye though Voices.com I soon learned from her the power and importance that Voices.com would play in my resurrection back into voice over work during my very first workshop with her. I even set up a profile BEFORE I had a demo, but got my demos up as quick as I could.
I also found out about the good folks at Reading and Radio Resource here in Dallas, home of North Texas Radio for the Blind. Bettye and I had emailed back and forth and she had advised me how beneficial working with them could be. Besides giving a helping hand to those in need it has also allowed me to get re-accustomed to the upgrades of sound booths and how things are recorded now, as well as familiarized me with changes in microphones and voicing techniques, etc. So I jumped in with both feet.
By doing this you also develop a comfort level that makes auditioning and equipment manipulation second nature and not so daunting. I started six months ago, hesitantly at first, as a substitute host reading THE ECONOMIST on the air, before my first actual workshop. After tax season the original host came back, but now I am the voice of READER'S DIGESTS at NTRB.
In the meantime, I fleshed out my profile and uploaded the demos Bettye and I made together. I was finally out there. I was actively seeking gainful employ doing what I have always wanted to do--Full Time. About a month after the site under construction dust finally settled, I received a blanket email from Dave Gilbert at Wadjeteye Games touting the upcoming release of the next installment in a series of the BLACKWELL computer games. I already had BLACKWELL LEGACY and BLACKWELL unbound and anxiously awaited the next one.
About two years ago, Dave and I had communicated when I had commented on one of his blogs and he had helped me with a computer glitch on one of my games. It just so happened that I had the wherewithal back then, while I was complimenting him on his games, to mention the fact that I had done voice over work and was considering getting back into it.
I replied to his email, told him that I now had a dynamite demo and asked if he had ever considered remote casting. (This was something I had NEVER heard of before my venture into Voices.com and my tutelage under Bettye Zoller). He emailed me back--almost immediately. Serendipitously, he was going to be out of the country and one of his character voice actors had dropped out. I shot him back a link to my profile at Voices.com suggesting that he check out my demos and voila--instant legitimacy with a photo, profile and demos at his finger tips. Consequently, he sent me copy. I sent custom demos. He hired me for three of the four characters that I had voiced for!
If you are interested you can find me at http://wadjeteyegames.com by following the GAMES link to BLACKWELL CONVERGENCE to the CAST PAGE LIST. I'm half way down the page. (I used the bomber jacket head shot instead of my Voice.com profile photo because it was more ominous.)
While I didn't actually get this job through Voices.com, I can honestly say that I got it because of y'all. (That "you guys" in Texas-speak. We have never grasped the concept of a plural "you".)
I have signed with Danette Linicomn at THE ELITE AGENCY here in Dallas and have submitted my information to an agency seeking representation in Atlanta. I guess I'm on my way! So, my advice to you is to JUST GO FOR IT! Onward and upward--and may the VOICE be with you.

It felt as if the job was handed to me!
I just completed my first job on voices.com! At first, I was nervous, not sure of how it would all play out, but Voices.com made it sooo comfortable and simple. It felt as if the job was handed to me!
I simply auditioned for a job, the client wrote back with some questions and suggestions for his product, we worked it out til it was just right, and before I knew it, I was uploading his product and receiving payment!
Voices.com took me step by step through the process and now I feel like a pro.
Thank you so much for all you do.
Voices.com Has Fast Forwarded My Path to Success
I have been in the voice-over industry for less than 3 months, and Voices.com has fast forwarded my path to success.
I had no idea how to make the cross from an on camera actor and get into voice-overs.
Voices.com website had a wealth of resources at my fingertips. Rather than create my own website, I decided to use my profile page as my site, complete with Demos.
I have been contacted by clients to do some corporate work. I auditioned for, and was hired as the voice of a videogame character for an upcoming title. I am told that to have this success in a short period of time is unusual.
The website is easy to use and the feedback system is wonderful. If it were not for Voices.com I would be lost.
The monthly payment option was great for someone starting out like myself.
Thank you,
A Connection Bridging the East and West Coast
Spring 2009... a client sends a request to gather voices to be used in training their employees how to better their positions of safety and deliver quality products by means of total success.
During their selection process, the client researched their potential voices.
The decision maker went to my web page and learned of my writing skills and the books available to help motivate adults and or teens to unlock their doors leading toward incredible creations.
Her son was having a horrible time in school and it was affecting his personal life at home with family and friends. The clients journey of reaching for a voice to help teach her employees turned into something more valuable... a writer who took the time to build a bridge to her son.
Voices.com served as a connection between two separate lives on opposite ends of the country that very easily could've just saved a troubled teen.
This is why I take the time to build relationships with the clients. I don't bang out a spot. I don't rush a voice over job to them only to never hear from them again. I've made it my passion to opens doors and never treat a client like the next big gig.
Voices.com Goes The Extra 2 Miles To Ensure Integrity
As expected when one staff member Laurynda Pasma, earns a promotion, her brightly lighted torch of uncompromised Talent-Producer customer care along a knack when it came to dialoguing with concerned customers continues to be a hallmark at Voices.com.
Although, I was so pleased to hear Laurynda's deserved promotion, I felt comforted by having my submission issue addressed by Jessica, a Voices.com staffer who is patently as caring as her predecessor.
From David to Stephanie Ciccarelli, to the whole team that includes everyone, if a client fumbles by forgetting a crucial component in submitting a custom demo that he or she has produced for the client, Voices.com will go that extra 2 miles to ensure both integrity within the submission process while doing whatever they can to assist talent with a problem.
As a three year member, I would never consider leaving this marketplace of superior talent, viable new platform and finally but most importantly- the way that Voices.com engenders a sense of caring for each of the vocalists, like me, who work so hard to meet a clients high expectations of professionalism. Furthermore, if any vocal talent is contemplating on whether he or she should spend the money to join Voices.com, please contact me at debsbook@aol.com.
Sincerely,
I've landed 3 pretty good size jobs over the past 2 months

Hi Laurynda,
Hope all is well and you enjoyed your Summer. Just wanted to say that I've landed 3 pretty good size jobs over the past 2 months through Voices.com and thought I would share. I've never really sent in any feedback since I joined so I thought why not? It seemed all my work was coming from the other 'market place' but lately that is changing. It's all good!

The SurePay System Took Away Any Worries I May Have Had
Hi Stephanie,
Although I've been providing voice services for a long time, I only joined voices.com last month, mainly out of curiosity!
I managed to book a job within a couple of weeks (just finished it this morning) and found it to be one of the most straightforward and pleasant jobs I've ever booked through an online casting site.
The client was great to work with and the SurePay system took away any worries I may have had about agreeing and finalising payment.
All in all, good stuff. Thank you!

I want to thank you very much for your personal interest in me

Laurynda -
I want to thank you very much for your personal interest in helping me get this. They heard me on Voices.com and said they found my read to be "informed - but not stuffy.."
The client is a brand incubator & marketing company with several products in the health and beauty field that are based in some pretty solid science. The project involved narrating a short video that explains a brand new weight loss product called Sensa. The clinical studies show it's dramatically effective because it signals the brain to tell the body to stop eating when it's time to stop eating. So it's natural, effortless. The appeal is to an informed, upscale audience. It allows me to tell a story and explain the inner workings - my specialty! On every count - this is the perfect kind of client for me.
I did the session for them yesterday and they seem very pleased with the results. I am pleased as well.
Again, thank you. I cannot imagine how - with all the talent on the site - you manage to take such a personal interest. I'm grateful.

I'm Excited To Be Part of a Quality Marketplace for Talent
Dear Stephanie,
I wish to applaud the marvelous updates that your team has made to voices.com.
Without question, it is the finest talent/client match-up forum on the web. And if I were to advise talent as to which site to join, I would have no compunctions in recommending Voices.com. Not only are your job leads superior, but your team has always been generous with their time when communicating with talent.
And I would be remiss if I did not mention that the demos vocalists cut and upload are not adulterated in anyway as they are at some competing sites. This is so very critical as it often takes talent an hour or more to deliver a very fine demo.
To boot, it appears that the site has become even more user friendly. Kudos to everyone at Voices.com.
Today is my renewal date, and I am excited to once again be part of a quality marketplace for talent.

Voice-over work is no longer just a side job, it is my career.
Hi Stephanie,
I just wanted to thank you. As you probably already know, I am a voice talent registered with Voices.com. I signed up as a Premium member back in August 2008.
I felt the urge to write and thank you as I sit here recording for one of many great clients I have had the pleasure of working with because of Voices.com.
I haven't auditioned on Voices.com for about 2 weeks or so. Why? Because I have SO MUCH work from the short time I have been on the site, that I am too busy recording.
The membership fee is literally a drop in the bucket compared to what I have made from Voices.com.
You guys do a great job. I just wanted to let you know that. Thank you so much for helping to grow my business. Voice-over work is no longer just a side job, it is my career.
Thank you so very much,

Hello I've been in the voiceover business for several years and I have never come across someone like your Live Chat girl named Jessica. Wow. How refreshing to have someone not only kind but with a wonderful personality and sense of humor. So much in fact I asked her to be my friend.
No seriously, she answered all my questions in such a timely manner and added her own flair so it wasn't so generic like a robotic conversation. I don't usually write to companies but I had to because she actually made my day and in this day and age people are so angry at the whole world and it shows in their performance of their job. If she worked for me I would be giving her a raise. Let her see this as well.
Thank you Jessica for not making me feel like just a number.

Just a note to express my satisfaction with Voices.com

Just a note to express my satisfaction with Voices.com. I have only recently become a member. The system is slick, and easy to navigate. SurePay is a great idea, and is simple to use.
I've been fortunate to have received some jobs through the site, and, the process was smooth. I can't find any negatives. Having been a member of another "service", I can say that joining up here was a much better experience.
Thanks !

Voices.com is the best source for jobs!

Hi Laurynda and all,
Just a short note to tell you all that I've been cast recently! I booked Harper/Collins book called "LOVE YOU HATE YOU MISS YOU" as well as another podcast (ongoing for major colleges - and a lead in a video game doing a Chinese Kick-Ass female character and a three spots for Britain's premiere newspaper (which is continuing work). I also recently did a television spot for one dentist business and that lead to more work.
I'm humbled by the interest and thrilled too.
Thanks Voices.com.
Voices.com is the best source for jobs. All of these jobs I got through you.
Sincerely,

One-Stop-Shopping Feature at Voices.com Was Good For Business
Smith Pro Rodeos contracted me through the Voices.com Store. They were looking for a "Sam Elliott" sounding Voice Over for a special "opening presentation: for a rodeo event to viewed on the 'jumbo-tron". Smith Pro Rodeos, is the preeminent professional rodeo producer and in reviewing my "Sam Elliott" demo in the store of Voices.com I was selected for the project.
I voiced the exciting opening event film presentation for the Super Bowl of rodeos The Gold Buckle Award. The client was very cordial and professional and sincerely believe the ease of the Voices.com one stop shopping feature for this client (who does not have a regular need for VO talent) made it a particularly easy business experience.
Thank you,

Hi Laurynda:
I am in the process of finalizing my first job through Voices.com.
I just wanted to comment on the Work Agreement system you have. I really think it is first rate. I haven't received a confirmation from my client yet but just the fact that the job is handled so professionally makes me feel very secure.
No complaint, no question...just a compliment. Thanks.

Voices.com Has Built a Good Product

Good job...
Selling My Product on Voices.com Was Very Quick and Easy
Selling my product on Voices.com was very quick and easy. I received an email stating that my product had been sold (IVR & on hold message). When I went to my page the script was there waiting for me. Within a few hours the client had their completed product and the funds were released to me! :)
The Client was very happy and left great feedback!

I was quite pleased to be chosen out of the 70 auditions for the narrative on Biola U's "25th Anniversary Video".
The script was very well written, and the client, David Baxter, very detailed, friendly and timely in his communication. It all went very smoothly and was an "ideal" scenario.

Just Downloaded 18 Voice Over Experts Podcasts onto my iPod
Every Wednesday I leave work early and catch a bus to London from Bristol, and then a tube to Covent Garden, where I have been going to a Voice Acting class. The trip takes 6 hours there and back, and so far I've just been reading the weekend newspaper (it's massive), or falling asleep on the stranger next to me. Anyway, I've just downloaded 18 Voice Over Experts onto my newly acquired iPod, and am excited about the next trip!
Thanks matey.

Recently I've Booked 3 Big Audio Book Jobs, 2 Commercials, 2 Phone Projects and a Movie
Hey Stephanie,
Just wanted to let you know a success story from one of your VO actresses. My name's Tracy Pfau and I've been with Voices.com for about 2 years now.
I've recently (over the Christmas holiday) gotten three big audio book jobs and two commercial spots, two phone projects and a movie playing one of the lead character roles and the audio book folks seem to like me and have hired me for more books for Universal Press.
I know it's tough for a lot of actors to keep plugging away, but I'm a perfect example of of someone who worked hard to do just that.
Thanks.

Referred By A Colleague, Your Voice Over Service is Wonderful!
My colleague used this service for a small job and recommended Voices.com to me. My first time using the service was wonderful - the voiceover artist returned the job in a 24-hour turnaround and it was perfect. I felt like I stumbled through the some of the steps - it wasn't clear what the "next steps" were and how to complete them. But now that I've gone through the process once it will be easier going forward.

Ramping Up
I've been with Voices.com all of a month now, but I am pretty well versed in the process of audition... and audition... and audition.
Until a week or so ago I was feeling kinda blah about the whole thing, but had a sunny disposition. I mean, after all, who doesn't need practice?
Never having done the kind of ominous-sounding trailer voice the client sought for his upcoming book's video preview, I wasn't expecting a call back. BUT...
So after that connection I am fortunate enough to be reading the whole book for him soon. Pretty cool! Look ma, I'm an audiobook person!
Yesterday I picked up a role as a Brit "interpreter voice" for a small documentary. Cheers!
My membership's paying for itself, and that's all I wanted. Of course, there is the "and then some"... that seems to be a strong possibility.
Thanks!

I just wanted to drop you a line to say THANKS. This week, I landed FIVE national cable TV commercials for Hannah Montana products through a relationship cultivated through voices.com. Turns out, the client hired me from the scratch. :)
So, thanks again, Stephanie!!! I appreciate all you do!!

The way the site is set-up is nothing other than perfect. The talent was top notch quality and the service from Lin Parkin and Laurynda Pasma was fantastic. Voices.com is a site I will be back to for future work. There truly is no reason to go somewhere else for my voiceover needs!
I found a talent almost immediately who was able to work within my budget and I used the SurePay Escrow system to make a deposit for the talent's services.
P.S. they didn't pay me to say this in any way.

A small job, and I'm glad I'm not looking at the ratio of audition hours to paid hours (grin); but for years people I know have told me "you have a great voice, you should do something with it". My Great Opportunity to take on a Colorful, Strong Female Role. Thanks VOICES.COM!
I've just completed an audiobook project for the company SPEAKING VOLUMES after auditioning for it on Voices.com!
I had the opportunity to narrate and bring to life the fictional character Michael Tree, a female detective.
The book, DEADLY BELOVED, written by renowned author, MAX ALLAN COLLINS, takes you on an action packed adventure with this gritty, gutsy and sometimes sexy female P.I. in search of her husband's killer!
As a female voice actor who's been in this business for 25 years plus it's great to have had the opportunity to take on such a colorful, strong female role.
I certainly hope people have as much fun listening to this thriller... as I had narrating it!
Thanks VOICES.COM!

Got My First Job from this Site!
I've been a finalist on several big jobs but I can't believe how excited I am to have just finished a "tiny" little VO job! Have to tell you, though, I got it because the client liked my demo, and my very low price... sigh, which has kept me out of the running before, based on feedback in emails. I think I have a new on-going client with this job, but I definitely had to hook him with a lower price. Still, exciting to get my first job from this site.
Thanks!
Many voices, one client, lots of fun.
I had a blast creating the vocal soundtrack for a short promotional video supporting energy independence for client Bob Love. Voices performed included Howard Cosell, Rod Serling, Ronald Regan, JFK, and Vince Lombardi.
Client was friendly and easy to work with. Glad to do it!

I'm not sure what was happening earlier this week... perhaps I was up at the top of the featured list? But for the first time, in a very long while, I received several inquires, out of the blue, for quotes and did generate one job out of it.
So this is just a thank you for whatever you did. Can we do it again... soon??
Many thanks,
I've Acquired 4 Good Jobs in My First 7 Weeks at Voices.com
Hey everybody,
I just wanted to thank Voices.com for all the hard work and great care they take in affording their members the opportunity to garner work they would not have other wise been able to solicit.
I have been a member for 7 weeks now, and have acquired 4 good paying, well above minimum jobs, as well as the contacts that come from it. From Canada to New Orleans, Vegas to Houston. Pretty cool what you can do with a good supporting cast, a mic, a computer, and the fact that I’m a composer, musician, vocalist, as well as a voice actor. One of the jobs I got was a jingle… Cool.
I briefly stuck my toes in the water at that 123 place, and found it to be much different, and I absolutely love the fact that Voices has a $100 minimum. Hey, we are pros, and deserve at least a decent minimum for our talent, studio time, and electricity...
Through my association with Voices, Julie Williams' forum, and now I Rock the Mic, I landed a pretty cool gig on a new, soon to be released "Star Trek" animated series. I'm Capt. Aaron Glenn Commander USS Azrael in "USS Farragut - The Animated Episodes". I even did the trailer. Pretty cool stuff. Here's the link to that.
Click on the "Special Episodes" link above the pic for trailer and press release.
Thanks Voices... I'm grand-fathered, and happy to be here...
It Has Taken Off Rapidly!
Hello all,
This is truly exciting and a success story for me. It is always said that patience pays off and it is paying off very well. I had been on Voices.com for a year without any response. This is my second year and it has taken off rapidly.
I have been contacted three times in the last two weeks and have gotten work; I have already recorded one job and got paid. The second one will be recorded on Monday and the third is to be recorded on Tuesday. The first company was out of Toronto, the second out of Chicago and the third out of California.
I will be putting up these recordings when I have them all completed.
These three jobs have already paid for my memberships and this year I will be doing a lot of marketing through Voices.com.
Thank you Voices.com.
Thank You For INCREDIBLE Customer Service!
I just had to say, since I've become much more active with voices.com over the past few months, I've been booking quite a few gigs! :) Most of them off my generic demos at that - which I *LOVE* that you allow us to submit. At the moment, I'm a part time talent (not for much longer though!) and having the ability to submit generic demos, makes it possible for me to get a few more auditions in during the day.
I also want to thank you for your INCREDIBLE customer service. I've had NIGHTMARE service from your major online competitor, but you guys have always been so pleasant with me and so wonderful dealing with my questions and issues. I really, really appreciate that and will continue to spread the word on how much I love Voices.com.
Thank you!

My Success story is about LOCATION and just how much VOICES.COM Rocks!!
About three weeks ago I read an e-mail that was sent from VOICES.COM. It was from a local Computer Corporation called SKYTAP they were in dire need of a Voice Over Artist that was Local and they were on DEADLINE.
Through VOICES.COM they chose my sound and hired me for a 2 min. intro and a ten min. product tour!
The client and myself formed a lasting working relationship and friendship and last night I went to a rockin' Launch Party for the project and landed a few other gigs in the process! It was so great to meet the actual Client and the other talents who were also involved in the project!
Thanks for the work! Voices.com U-ROCK!

Surprised to find it's easier to find talent to record locally online!
Dear Laurynda,
I just wanted to thank you for Voices.com's wonderfully helpful service. I had no idea this site existed until someone pointed the website out to me, and now I only wish I knew about it earlier. I had 94 responses within 24 hours of my posting, so, if anything, the website works too well!
One of the respondents wrote that they could not believe that we needed to find someone to do a voice over in LA since there should be plenty to choose from. To that I would respond that while there might be tons of local people here who could and would help us, finding them is a whole other challenge. That is where your service helps no matter where you are from.
We ended up working with Craig Burnett who we found via Voices.com
Thank you,

Renewed at Voices.com after reviewing my business history
Hello,
I have discovered that when reviewing Voices.com business history, I overlooked 1 ongoing client which I got thru Voices. I also wonder if there were others too?
Therefore I have subscribed for one more year.
On review, my criticism of your site was harsh. That is due to the oddballs who have contacted me through you and my poor batting average with Voices.com. compared with other websites and my agents. It just didn't add up.
I was flabbergasted that I could not justify $199! Well, I discovered at least one client won through Voices.com and I have earned thousands as a result. So - it is a no brainier to re-up.
Business is business after all.
Please accept my apologies, and note I have always appreciated your customer service and web design.

Invaluable Information and Great Presentation
Hi Stephanie and Voices.com crew,
I just wanted to tell you what a great presentation David put on at today's e-seminar through the London Small Business Centre.
David was very professional and informative. It was also good to see how a successful company like Voices.com is benefiting striving voiceover artists like myself in other ways!
The seminar as a whole was invaluable information to me and worth every penny.
It was a pleasure meeting David in person finally.
Here's to a prosperous future!

And, Voices.com; remains positive, uplifting, doesn't give me a feeling that I'm not good enough, or set rules that can't be understood, or rate me on a computer system that cannot be understood, doesn't threaten in any way, doesn't ask twice if I really want to submit an audition (really), and always provides me auditions in all budget ranges that I request.
In short, Voices.com provides a business environment with sensitivity to the artist. I like that.

A Red Letter Day
It was a RED LETTER DAY here at Silver Tongued Angels. We got our first job on VOICES.COM. We have worked hard, taken advice from your staff and it really feels good.
My hat's off to all the good people at Voices.com. You have provided blogs, newsletters, books, articles and even personalized help. When I really needed help, you folks took a look at my information and my profile and made a few KEY suggestions.
Well it made all the difference. Our first job was not a trailer for the next "Terminator" film so Don will sleep well tonight....but it was a great Narration job for us that fits my Voice to a "T".
Thanks for everything....I am so stoked!!!

I Got The Gig!
I got the gig!
I've been hired by an innovative team in Ireland that is creating a website for travelers to check out what's hot in various cities in the US (so far). I am in NYC, but being across the big pond hardly matters!
Thank you Voices.com!

Love the site!
A couple years ago, I decided to join Voices.com to expand my voiceover career. To be honest, the first 8-9 months or so were kinda slow....I was a little discouraged. Wound up, it was my own fault (I wasn't auditioning like I should have)
I decided to make more of an effort to audition the next year, and since then...things have exploded!
Over the past year, I have had the pleasure of working with clients like Macy's, ESPN, Verizon, and AT & T....all through Voices.com. Thanks guys!

Benefits of upgrading and asking for assistance has paid off!
Hi Laurynda & Happy New Year!
This little note of gratitude is a little over due -not only thanks to all the holiday madness but also in thanks to you upgrading my account and composing that little bit of verbiage for me!
About 30 minutes after upgrading [to Premium] I received three private inquires from my Voices.com site! and all three hired me without an audition. Jan 2 - I received an inquiry from an L.A. production house for a corporate video, but the most exciting news? - a phone call later that day from an ABC affiliate to audition for TV imaging!
Thanks Laurynda! All the best to you in '08!

Personal Responses Set Voices.com Apart from Other VO Sites
Hello Laurynda and the Voices.com team,
Your articles and emails are full of so much information and wisdom. Voices.com has provided not only an excellent source of information for me, but having a personal response truly sets you apart from so many other ‘voice talent’ sites.
Thank You Again!

Voices.com, tremendous value beyond that of the yearly membership fee
I will be upgrading my account soon… even though I have not landed a job with Voices.com "‘yet’", Laurynda's help, the vast information on the site, network of other voices, and integrity of Voices.com has provided me with service that has tremendous value beyond that of the yearly membership fee.

Nancy Wolfson Helped Me Achieve Success at Voices.com
Hello,
My name is Kevin Lockhart. I am writing to you in regards to Nancy Wolfson, the voiceover coach. About 2 months ago I attended a weekend intensive with her at the DCPA. Since then I have enjoyed much more success than I had previously.
I had subscribed to a "casting" website for a year, and despite my many auditions had not landed a single job. I had even let my subscription lapse. After her weekend intensive, I was inspired to renew my subscription and using her techniques, I've landed four jobs in less than a month on the aforementioned site, and six on another. I did not enjoy this kind of success until Nancy Wolfson came to town.
I am a Nancy Wolfson success story. She was able to turn my luck around in a weekend, and if given the opportunity she could do for many others what she has done for me! Her class was enjoyable, and her methods work... period.

Voices.com is a Great Service
Within just a couple of hours, I had more than 20 people to choose from for my projects. It took no time at all to select the best voice for our projects. Great service!
I've hired three different voice talent using the Voices.com SurePay system to make an offer, negotiate, make a deposit and receive the finished recording.
End result was great, just what we had planned. Thanks!

Thank you to David and Stephanie Ciccarelli for founding Voices.com
Wanted you to know how helpful your service and support person, Laurynda Pasma, has been. Her suggestions on marketing were on target. Within one week of joining Voices.Com, I landed my first job. The following week I received a referral email and landed still another job.
To date now, I’ve contact 23 Los Angeles talent agencies directing them to my Voices.Com web page. In addition, I’ve contacted 16 Hollywood casting agencies and have received several responses. Took your advice on marketing and notched it up one step further. I am now on Facebook, SAG iActor Casting Directory, Blinklist, B121.Com, AboutUs.org, Linkedin.com, and Del.icio.us to mention a few of the marketing websites that now have mention of Voices.Com from my link.
This success story also has a human interest side to it. As a single mom, this year my teenage son has suffered a debilitating illness. My voice work is a blessing to pay for unexpected medical bills, medication and tutors for this home-bound high school student of mine. Next year when you’re passing out those “Voicey Awards” for marketing one’s business, I am living proof that my Angel Wings Productions has launched with flying colors. I am so hopeful everyday when those audition emails arrive. Blessings to you all.

Thanks for everything, especially the job requests.

Making My Dream A Reality
I just resigned from my regular job Thursday, Sept. 27th, and began working for myself doing voiceover full time last Monday! So I've been hard at it getting everything in place including designing my own website, business cards, updating my local magazine ads, all in addition to keeping up with new auditions and servicing current clients.
I told Laurynda on the phone, you guys were the final element I was looking for in making my dream of working for myself doing voiceover from home a reality. I was able to do it all within 5 months of joining Voices.com on May 1st!
You guys are literally the best!

Voiceover Experts is one of The Most Important Resources for Voice Actors on the Internet Today
At the risk of sounding like I'm "kissing up to folks" (though there would be no benefit in doing so that I am aware of), I want to boldly state that Voiceover Experts is one of the most important resources for voice actors on the internet today.
Getting "real-world" instruction and insight from working professionals at the click of a mouse is truly impressive. I have yet to come away from any of these installments empty handed.
Here's what I find to be true regarding Voiceover Experts:
-The beginner hits a GUSHER.
-The intermediate bathes in the joy of an abundance of bite-size nuggets that fit so nicely in the mouth of the lesser experienced.
-The professional always walks away with "sticky notes" to remind & challenge them in any number of areas.
I so appreciate the time and effort put forth in bringing these valuable resources to my desktop!

Voices.com Saves the Day - Julie's Hired!
I emailed Voices.com on Sunday, asking for help with a potential client whom I was trying to send an email back to, but [the email] kept coming back to me.
A Voices.com team member also tried emailing for me, and gave me a website they found for this client and studio phone number for the radio station this individual owns.
Anyway, I just wanted to send a "THANK YOU!"
I ended up talking on the phone to the radio station owner (QFM, Key West, FL) and he hired me last night to be the voice of one of his advertisers for his station! Mark me down again for another "recently hired' :) Yay!
Thanks Voices.com! You guys are FANTASTIC!

Hi Stephanie!
I wanted to share some good news...
A few days ago, through Voices.com, I booked a 3-job narration deal valued at $5,000!! Yay!!! Super stoked.

Wonderful Service!
I got my first job on Voices.com yesterday (yay me!) and I have the say the process was completely seamless. The interface is intuitive and super easy. I was working with an excellent client, so part of the lightning fast quality was her work, but the interface allows it!!
Then today, I had a fight with PayPal (their fault), and when I called Voices.com to change my email address, Laurynda made sure the email was correct, then directed me to Carol who quickly got the money side of it sorted out. None of the problems started with Voices.com, but the ladies on the other end of the phone were quick to fix everything.
I can't stop gushing about how much I love Voices.com right now. I finally feel like I have a place where my voice is valued and it's run by people who care about their customers.
Kudos to Laurynda, Carol, and Voices.com!
Voices.com Represents the Cutting Edge of the VO Biz
Laurynda I want to commend you, Stephanie and all for what a fine job of services and attention that Talent gets from Voices.com. Really, I mean it. As far as I can see, Voices.com represents the cutting edge of where the VO business should be today, and the best at keeping up with where the industry is changing and evolving for tomorrow.
Thanks again, and looking forward to much more with Voices.com.

Praise for VOX Daily
What a great service you provide for all of us in this great profession. Thank you. I have read a lot of these Vox Dailies and get something out of most of them. It was nice to have met a couple of you at Voice 2007 in March.
I have decided to put some of my favorite “dailies” in a file to keep and reread occasionally as I continue to build this biz.
Keep up the good work!
Thanks again,

They Found Me At Voices.com!
Kudos and much thanks to you and Voices.com -- I just completed a corporate video narration for Portofino Group, Miami, Florida. They were very pleased with my work and it sounds like I'm on board for a lengthier project with them in a few weeks.
They found me at Voices.com !!
It's nice to get work through auditioning -- even NICER to simply be chosen from the pack !
Thanks again and blessings to you, David and gang.
Cheers,
My experience using Voices.com has been wonderful
I recently posted a job on Voices.com (documentary narration for the National Park Service). I just wanted to thank you for the help in finding a narrator; thus far my experience using Voices.com has been wonderful. I am narrowing down my final choice and should have a final selection by the end of the day (from over 130 auditions).
Thanks again. Wonderful service, and I will most definitely be using the site again.

You Can Do it the Hard Way, or, Just Join Voices.com
Okay okay, some of us take a bit longer to plug into the clue machine. And so it was until I found this delightful VO marketing machine Voices.com.
Why I waited so long to join I will never know, but I can tell you this for a fact-that within one month of joining I've made back the investment more than 5 times over. Not only that, but even gigs I don't land, I often get emails and phone calls from prospects.
You can not go wrong working with Voices.com!
Or do it the hard way... it's your future so why not invest in it today?

Job I Got Through Voices.com Makes a Difference
Thanks to a lead that came from Voices.Com, a couple months ago, I had the pleasure of working with Robert Marcarelli of Marca-Relli Productions on a new documentary he was producing and directing based on David Batstone's book, "Not for Sale: The Return of the Global Slave Trade -- And How We Can Fight It."
I did the english-language voice overs for two Peruvian ladies featured in the "Generacion" section of the film. The DVD was released April 27th and is available at the Freedom Store at NotForSaleCampaign.Org. All proceeds go to fund the campaign, which seeks to abolish slavery in our lifetime. The message in the book and film is positive; it says people can make a difference.
My voice over projects all offer different types of challenges, and rewards (including the opportunity to work with and meet terrific clients, potential clients, and other great people in the voice over industry). I don't often get an opportunity to do character narration which is in itself a pleasant challenge. I'm very pleased to have been involved in this particular project and am delighted to share this information with you. The producers of the film and people involved with abolishing modern slavery are of course hugely in favor of raising public awareness. To that end, they have encouraged those of us involved with the film to get the word out and let people know that the DVD can be freely screened at your homes, churches, community centers, wherever people gather.
Best regards always and thanks for listening,
