Tiger Woods GM OnStar Commercial

Tiger WoodsHave you seen Tiger Woods' new commercial with GM OnStar?

If you were listening carefully, you might have noticed something very few would have assumed of the production.

Did anybody catch the voice over?

If you did, leave a comment!

Tiger Woods recently cut a commercial with GM OnStar wherein Tiger is on his cell phone (out in the rain) talking to an OnStar rep out on a golf course standing beside a GM vehicle that is OnStar equipped.

Now, here is the question for you:

Was all of that commercial (the spoken words) voiceover?

We think it was, even though you can see Tiger's mouth moving on the final line because of the weather...

Now, what would the weather have to do with a voiceover?

Coming from backgrounds in audio recording which also included some live on-site work, members of our team thought that it would be a poor decision for the crew to expose their sensitive audio equipment outside when the elements are less than favorable, especially on purpose.

What do you think?

Was the commercial all voiceover or was there actual audio recorded during the on-camera shooting?

Looking forward to hearing your theory and take on this.

Cheers,

Stephanie

P.S. Some of you may remember that Tiger Woods was once the poster boy for GM's Buick line promoting vehicles such as the Lucerne and the Enclave. Apparently, the Buick department decided they wanted the cars to be the focal point of their promotions and brand, not a celebrity. Happily, GM was quick to find another role for Tiger and snatch him up again in their claws, as it were.
