Dozens of Articles Covering VOICE 2007 on the VOX Daily Blog

The first ever voice acting conference, VOICE, enjoyed significant coverage from the leading industry news source, VOX Daily.

Although voice actors generally are not in the glare of the limelight or have paparazzi at their heels, voice actors from Hollywood and around the globe were treated to a very different form of media attention: up close and personal interactive media coverage that highlighted the various lectures, events, and movers and shakers of the voice acting world – courtesy of the leading voice marketplace, Voices.com and their popular blog, VOX Daily.

Attending as sponsors for the VoiceOver Creative Experience (VOICE), Voices.com also represented the media, providing concise, extensive and intimate details pertaining to the VOICE conference, honored presenters and exuberant participants, serving the voice over acting industry as an educational venue as well as a means for people to converse by leaving comments on articles from VOICE 2007.

Many voice actors who did not attend the VOICE conference in Las Vegas were treated to an incredible review of each lecture that was presented, including those taught by Rodney Saulsberry, Connie Terwilliger, Frank Frederick, Chris Wagner, Pat Fraley, James Alburger and Penny Abshire, Gregory Best, Bettye Zoller, MJ Lallo, and DB Cooper. Voice actors in attendance at the conference were also appreciative of the coverage provided by the VOX Daily Voice Actors Blog, discovering key points that they may have missed, and for countless talent, being able to fully indulge in and digest the experience that was VOICE 2007 from the comfort of their own homes.

Special events featuring Don LaFontaine (Movie Trailer Voice Actor) and Bob Bergen (Porky Pig) were also given editorial pampering, weaving biographical information with live commentary and photos from each event.

Reviewed as perceptive, accurate, helpful, entertaining and educational, the coverage of VOICE 2007 generated by VOX Daily and the Voices.com team has been received as nothing short of phenomenal, and as an added bonus, has encouraged professionals who were not present to attend the VOICE conference in future years as the articles have validated the conference in print as well as in spirit.

Voice talent Sanjo Ogunseye of Nigeria commented, “I am in Nigeria, but am already thinking and planning for the VOICE 2008 Conference”.

Dozens of voice talents who participated at VOICE 2007 left comments sharing their gratitude for the conference coverage, including Kara Edwards, of North Carolina who exclaimed, “WOW! (A word ala Frank Frederick!) You have outdone yourself...I'm so glad to have this record of what we learned!”

Fellow North Carolinian, Bob Souer, voice talent and blogger, also chimed in on several occasions with thanks and encouragement, linking to VOX Daily articles of interest from his blog regarding VOICE 2007.

Bobbin Beam, a voice actress based in California commented, “What you have conveyed here is not only an accurate description of his (Rodney Saulsberry’s) topic, but of huge value to VOX Daily subscribers, and all who aspire to succeed in voiceovers”.

Voices.com co-founder and VOX Daily blogger, Stephanie Ciccarelli says, “It was such a joy to experience VOICE 2007 as a sponsor and journalist. Each one of the articles was lovingly crafted and presented to our audience paying close attention to detail while expressing the importance of community and its role in the voice over industry.”

Rachel Robinson Wins Best Female Voice Talent of the Year

Rachel Robinson, voice of Coca-Cola’s “Make Every Drop Count” campaign and Celebrity Death Match characters wins Best Female Voice at Voices.com.

Best Female Voice Award winner Rachel Robinson, a national voice talent, has had several forward steps and ‘breaks’ throughout her career, including a fortuitous opportunity to work with Paul Reiser on his film “The Thing About My Folks”. Rachel has also performed voice over work for the infamous television program “Celebrity Death Match” and most recently, voiced six commercial spots for The Coca-Cola Company’s “Make Every Drop Count” campaign.

A favorite of Los Angeles talent agencies, Rachel not only thrives on her accolades and variety of work acquired but on voice acting itself. In a recent interview, Rachel shared her passion for voice acting and what keeps her going in this highly competitive yet fulfilling field of work, “I really love it; anything you want to do to earn a living that you also enjoy takes your constant attention and focus, which, if I love something, doesn't feel like work at all. Perseverance and patience have to go with talent and timing, so I've tried to balance all of that. Besides, it's the most fun I've had for anything I've gotten paid for, and that is priceless.”

In an acceptance speech, Rachel expressed gratitude to Nancy Wolfson of Braintracks Audio for her rapier-like honesty and crystal-clear method of communication under whose vocal coaching she came farther in four months than experiences with several other coaches, recommending Ms. Wolfson to anyone from novices through to aspiring amateurs and established working professionals. Additionally, Rachel acknowledged several voice teachers, directors and working actors, including but not limited to Bob Bergen, Ginny McSwain, Dolores Diehl and Larry Moss.

Rachel intimated “I'm also grateful to anyone who was generous enough with their time and knowledge to share it with me, either paid or not; and I am always more than pleased to pay it forward by sharing information with anyone who actually thinks my advice and acumen are valuable.”

Voices.com and Voicey Awards co-founder, Stephanie Ciccarelli says, “Rachel Robinson’s versatility and vocal prowess has rewarded her with top honors from judges in the voice over industry. It is an honor to congratulate Rachel on her Voicey Award for Best Female Voice.”

Now that she has won an International award for Best Female Voice, Rachel has committed to remaining in top form outside as well as inside the voice over booth, honing her creative skills while researching fresh ideas for her voice over business. Rachel also looks forward to more animation voice over work in features, series and gaming as well as the ongoing pursuit of commercial and narration projects, which have been very kind to her thus far.

Voice Overs Give Life a Soundtrack at Voices.com

Voices.com, the leading voice marketplace, is releasing a series of new web videos promoting the use of voice over in everyday life.

What if life had a soundtrack? That’s the question posed by the voice over experts at Voices.com as the company promotes a new series of entertaining web videos featuring on camera actors and voice over talent demonstrating what life could be like if it were narrated by a professional voice actor or voice over talent.

The first two videos focus on individuals going about their everyday lives, living out perfectly relatable scenarios most people can identify with. The first video “Lost” features a young man, Joe Doakes, who has lost his glasses. A narrator tells the tale of how Joe Doakes is an ordinary guy, to quote “a guy like you or I”, however Joe has lost something, something that is very important to him. While the on camera action escalates as Joe searches frantically for his missing artifact, the voice over kindly interrupts Joe to let him know that his glasses are sitting on top of his head.

The second video “Makeup” features an actress portraying a mother who is going about her usual morning routine applying makeup. The accompanying voice over treats the audience to a different accent in the style of the late Australian icon Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter. The Aussie accent adds flair and an exotic quality to the mundane task of beauty preparations while recognizing the amazing feats of multitasking that only a woman rearing children and running a busy household can achieve.

Voices.com Vice President of Marketing, Stephanie Ciccarelli says, “Reaching out to people with these videos is an excellent opportunity to bring awareness to the art of voice over while sharing ideas about how voice over is used and also how voice overs are literally the soundtrack for our lives, whether in the literal sense or for the corporate landscape selling products or services.”

Voices.com Announces Scripts to Record Commercials for Broadcast

People looking for quality radio, television, narration copy and scripts for telephone recordings discover the best royalty-free scripts at Voices.com.

The need for royalty-free customizable scripts has greatly increased due to new services such as Google™ Audio Ads and the Google™ Ad Creation Marketplace. Instead of writing and producing ads from scratch, many savvy businesses are turning to prefabricated commercial script collections such as The Voice Over Script Collection and the Commercial Scripts for Radio and Television Ads at Voices.com.

Competitively priced, each script collection contains more than 50 original scripts to meet the needs of first time advertisers and busy ad agencies alike, offering original content that can be customized to meet the needs of any project including the recording of telephone systems, radio commercials, audio for television commercials, Interactive Voice Response, and more.

One of the greatest benefits of these scripts is that the Commercial Scripts for Radio and Television Commercials come complete with voice casting and script interpretation suggestions, helping to give a voice artist hired to record the audio much appreciated guidance and ideas for music production and sound effects. These details prove a strategic advantage to clients who outsource their production projects as the hard work is already done, expediting the recording of the voice over and delivery of the final product.

Voices.com co-founder and copywriter, Stephanie Ciccarelli says, “These scripts are ideal for people who need to get a project off the ground without having to lay all of the groundwork first. The amount of effort required to customize these scripts is quite minimal, however, the immediate creative results, cost and time savings are out of this world."

Voices.com focuses on creating experiences and success through simplicity as is demonstrated by their attention to clients who need creative services, whether they be voice over recordings or preproduction related. This emphasis on customer care before and after a voice over is added to a project sets Voices.com apart as a leader and facilitator of premium quality audio productions.
