Promo & Imaging Voice Talent Matt Williams Rocks the VOX Talk Podcast

Voices.com recently hired voice talent Matt Williams to record a new show intro for their podcast, VOX Talk, the #1 voice over industry podcast.

Toronto, Canada (VOICES.COM) May 11, 2007 -– Every week, Voices.com and a team of voice talent correspondents produce an action-packed episode of the VOX Talk podcast complete with industry news, business advice, technology tutorials, and feedback from the world of voice over. This past month, VOX Talk celebrated its 25th episode and kicked off episode 26 with some brand new imaging and promo work by Illinois-based voice over talent Matt Williams, including a new intro for the podcast, episode numbers and a revamp for the VOX Box segment.

Matt Williams’ voice (MattWilliamsVO.com) is synonymous with Voices.com’s VOX Talk podcast. Matt was first commissioned by Voices.com (then InteractiveVoices.com) to produce their company podcast music and voice overs in 2005, together introducing podcasting to the voice industry as well as the community at Voices.com. Over the years, his awe inspiring delivery and passionate interpretations of the script have sent listeners into overdrive, branding VOX Talk with ingenious charisma and authority.

When asked about his involvement with the VOX Talk podcast, Matt Williams intimated, “Getting started in voiceovers is difficult to near impossible unless you grew up around it, know someone in the industry or worked in a parallel field. So to have an outlet for beginners to established voiceover actors to learn about their craft is a goldmine. Not only do I get to be a part of the production of the podcast by introducing segments, I actually get to learn more about what it is we do. Each segment has something for us to grab on to and bring into our own careers every week. If you haven’t gone to iTunes and subscribed… uh, what are you waiting for?”

Bruce Barker Wins Voicey Award for Best Personal Branding at Voices.com

Bruce Barker out brands them all in an International quest to find the best personal branding in the voice over industry.

Toronto, Canada (VOICES.COM) May 8, 2007 -– Bruce Barker has enjoyed a number of fabulous opportunities in the world of voice over, but it didn’t start out that way. For a time, Bruce tried to do it all, utilizing his wide range of vocal abilities as a voice over handyman. However, he soon realized that he could better serve niche markets by narrowing the vocal field a bit. Embarking on a journey whereby establishing a solid brand and to discovering his signature voice, Bruce followed the audio component up with some swanky artwork to complete the overall presentation of his vocal talent, reinforcing his original brand – branding that won him the prestigious honor of Best Personal Branding at the 2007 Voicey Awards from the leading voice over marketplace, Voices.com.

Bruce’s brand imaging has served him well, creating a unique packaging for his versatile voice. Everything that goes out the door with his name on it bears his distinctive logo, a brightly beaming yellow donkey carved from wood complete with a striking blue harness and a contagious smile. As the owner of a state of the art broadcast and voiceover recording studio, Bruce has commissioned multiple logos and branding pieces catering to his company and his unique voiceover services in particular.

In an acceptance speech, Bruce acknowledged Nancy Wolfson of Brain Tracks Audio (Braintracksaudio.com), stating, “I'd been doing voiceover for a very long time, but Nancy's THE person responsible for getting me to the next level and the next and the next. That girl can do anything, and I'm living proof. Oh, and props to her artwork and web design go-to guy, Jason Sikes of VillageGreenStudios.com. Once we'd established the voice branding, Jason came up with the ultra-goofy (and absolutely perfect) donkey logo.”

Voices.com and Voicey Awards co-founder, Stephanie Ciccarelli says, “Bruce’s unique style and branding, both vocal and visual, are stunning and we’re proud to bestow this honor upon him as the first winner in the Best Personal Branding category.”

Ad Agencies to Benefit from Spring '07 Release at Voices.com

Agencies in search of top tier voice over talent and easy project management from hiring to billing have a friend in Voices.com.

Toronto, Canada (VOICES.COM) May 5, 2007 -– Some of the hardest aspects of finding a voice over talent in the past included knowing where to go, who to trust and how to make payment. Voices.com, the world’s largest online voice over marketplace and home to an International base of top tier voice talent and audio producers, is naming advertising agencies specifically as one of the foremost beneficiaries of the Spring ’07 Release, said to be the best thing to happen to the voice over industry online since digital file delivery.

One of the two principal innovations of the Spring ’07 Release engineered and created with advertising agencies in mind is the revolutionary new way to directly contact and hire voice over professionals for work. Advertising agencies are now able to invite individual voice talent to apply to Private Leads, job postings with a handful of applicants, in addition to posting Public Leads to all eligible voice over talent at Voices.com.

The Spring ’07 Release also brings the added organizational ability to coordinate Favorites on a per job posting basis. This makes it easier for agents to remember why they liked a particular voice and what their relationship to that voice talent with regard to their voice type is.

Voices.com has also provided the implemented the ability for agencies to organize their Favorite voice talents on a per job posting basis, meaning that a given voice would be related to a particular job posting, giving the listing significance and also coordinating the Favorites appropriately when it comes time to pick the perfect voice to fulfill specific needs. This feature also makes it easier for agents to remember why they liked a particular voice and what their relationship to that voice talent with regard to their voice type is.

Advertising agencies can also offer a voice talent a job immediately. If the voice talent fits, why not hire them right away? By sending a message to the voice talent with a job offer, ad agencies can move quickly and streamline the hiring process by initiating a job offer to the voice talent of their choice. The receipt of a job offer triggers the negotiation process whereby a voice actor can accept, negotiate or decline an opportunity presented by a prospective advertising client.

If an agreement is reached through the negotiation phase and a job offer is accepted, a client is then able to deposit the agreed upon funds through SurePay, a secure escrow account managed by Voices.com. The deposited funds will be held in trust until the voice over work has been completed and the final product approved. After approval, the funds are then released to the voice actor by the team at Voices.com, ensuring quality voice over work for the client as well as prompt, financial compensation for the voice actor.

Voices.com CEO and co-founder, David Ciccarelli says, “Advertising agencies love the new freedom and online accessibility Voices.com provides. We help them to manage all aspects of their relationships online with voice over talent and streamline the entire process of finding the perfect voice through payment and delivery of the final product.”
