Internet Marketing Made Easy for Voice Actors in New eBook by Voices.com

Who said it just takes a pretty voice to make it in voice acting? Voice actors discover the secrets of Internet marketing from the experts at Voices.com, the #1 voice over marketplace.

Toronto, Canada (VOICES.COM) October 22 – “Marketing on the Internet? Why would I do that?” Until now, that question has posed a quandary for thousands of working voice actors around the world, leaving more than just search engine results to be desired. As is the case with most creative types, people at ease behind the microphone working professionally as voice actors, don’t have the time or desire to research the finer technical elements of promoting their voice over business, presenting them with issues of non-relevancy, low visibility and a noticeably minor or even absent online presence, despite their high profile and renown in the offline world.

For an industry moving at warp speed, gingerly dancing to the technological drum, it would only make sense that voice actors inch even closer to self-promotional efforts on the Internet, marketing their talents online to the best of their abilities. However, the majority of voice talents have little or no formal business training, placing more emphasis on their artistic talent than on how they are marketed to prospective clientele who search for voice actors using tools such as search engines and voice over marketplaces.

What is a voice actor without a strategy for online marketing to do? Serendipitously, the answer awaits them in the form of a hot, new Internet Marketing plan crafted specifically for voice actors, presented by the co-founders of Voices.com, leaders in the online voice over industry and experts in search engine marketing.

Among other aspects of marketing online, the Internet Marketing Plan for Voice Actors teaches talent:

How to get traffic to their websites without spending money
How to become established as an authority in the eyes of search engines and visitors
How to get leaps and bounds ahead of the competition
How to maintain a web presence as well as continue to grow

The Internet Marketing Plan for Voice Actors can be purchased online at the Voices.com website. To learn more visit the Internet Marketing Plan for Voice Actors.

Troy Lund Wins Prize in Voices.com 60 Second Pitch Contest

Troy Lund wowed Voices.com with his concise and conversational account of his voice acting services in a 60 second elevator pitch submitted via MP3.

Familiar with the voice of Lt. Foster in Mech Assault I & II (X-Box)? That very same voice actor, Troy Lund, has just recently been awarded third place honours in the Voices.com 60 Second Pitch Contest, a contest wherein contestants submitted a 60 second elevator speech detailing who they are, information about their voice acting business, and also why people would benefit from working with them specifically.

As a voice actor, Troy is inspired by straightforward believability and having fun! In addition to his work as a voice actor, Troy rounds out his portfolio with music production services and licensing of music for film and TV. Starting out in voice over, his first step was getting a voice demo produced. Troy’s on-camera commercial agent started shopping it around and the work started to roll in. Several years of active music production and previous experience recording audiobooks were instrumental in his transition to voice acting, revealing that, “it came very naturally”.

When asked about how he came upon his recent success, Troy offered, “Figure out your brand and focus on it. Too many voice actors are all over the place. Once you define your brand, stick with it.”

Other awards Troy has won include 2nd place, Chuck D's Power to the People and the Beats Contest, RapStation.com.
