Voices.com Announces Finalists for the 2nd Annual Voicey Awards

Finalists for the 2008 Voicey Awards have just been revealed, sources at Voices.com say.

Toronto, Canada (VOICES.COM) February 12 – This year promises to be very exciting for the voice over industry, particularly for those nominees who became finalists overnight in the 2nd Annual Voicey Awards. The Voicey Awards, also known as the Voiceys, recognize professional voice actors for their contributions to the art of voice over and highlight performance, education and business know-how.

The Voicey Awards has expanded from five award categories to nine since the inaugural event, nine that are poised to honor voice actors of all ages, nationalities and voice types, including Best Child Voice, Best Teen Voice, Best New Voice, Best Female Voice, Best Male Voice, Best Foreign Voice, Best Personal Branding, Best Voice Team and Life Time Achievement.

The Finalists for the 2008 Voicey Awards are:

Best Child Voice: Brandi Munro (acclaimed).

Best Teen Voice finalists are Jesse Springer and Michelle Dunphy.

Best New Voice finalists are Jason Clark, Jeffrey Kafer, Jenna Holinsworth, David Houston, and Georgette Perna.

Best Male Voice finalists are Bob Barnes, David Kaye, James Herron, Bob Souer and J.J. Wilson.

Best Female Voice finalists are Summer Crockett Moore, Moe Egan, Debbie Munro, Jacqueline Samuda and Gale Van Cott.

Best Voice Team finalists are Maggie’s Voice and Thom Wilkins, Terry Daniel and Trish Basanyi, Forrest Rainier and Diane Havens, Adam Fox and Kara Edwards, Dana Detrick and Paul Clark.

Best Personal Branding finalists are Allen Farmer, Kara Edwards, Jessica Levesque, DC Goode, David J. Lawrence.

Best Foreign Voice finalists this year are Lili Wexu, Giovanni Noto, Marc Chase, Adam Behr, Sylvain Tribouillard, Daniela Maria Krueger, Andy Turvey, Claire Dodin, Juan Carlos Hernandez, Liz de Nesnera, Jane Nolan, Barto Mora, Adela Bolet, Sanjo Ogunseye and Rachel Salaman.

Life Time Achievement finalists for the 2nd Annual Voicey Awards are industry beacons Bob Bergen, Pat Fraley, Bryan Cox, Rita Pardue and David K. Jones.
