Using social bookmarking tools is a great way to discover new websites, resource lists and share links with your friends and colleagues. While bookmarking website is a familiar concept, just how does social bookmarking differ?

To answer that question and providing an overview of social bookmarking we've posted a great video from CommonCraft.

Look complicated to you?

This is the way things were before the dawn of the Internet and the ability to search for, audition and hire voice over talent online.

Note the many obstacles and hoops that our gallant Ad Man must leap over in order to complete his quest to have a voice over recorded for their project.

The former model has clients of voice actors running over hill and over dale trying to get a voice over recorded. The many steps in between make it easy for time lines to slide and budgets to balloon.

With the advent of new technologies clients who once entrusted entire projects and voice casting to agencies are now able to come online and hire voice actors directly should they choose to do so.

This image represents the path that was once trod by nearly everyone who needed a voice over recorded in pre-web days.

Voice Illustrated is meant to give you a different perspective on the voice over industry, including images pertaining to the art of voice over, recording studio equipment, parody cartoons, concepts, and all things related to voice over presented in graphical form.
