Ratatouille Voice Cast Announced

Disney and Pixar's "Ratatouille", coming to theatres near you in the summer of 2007.

Have you seen the trailer with the little mouse trying to steal food in the kitchen of a refined restaurant and the chef chasing him around like a scene from a nursery rhyme?

What you have just witnessed is a glimpse of Disney / Pixar's upcoming animated film, Ratatouille.

ratatouille-disney-pixar.jpgThe voice cast was just announced recently, and the cast includes the voice talents of Patton Oswalt, Brian Dennehy, Brad Garrett, Janeane Garofalo, Ian Holm and John Ratzenberger.

Here's the synopsis, straight from Disney:

A rat named Remy dreams of becoming a great French chef despite his family's wishes and the obvious problem of being a rat in a decidedly rodent-phobic profession. When fate places Remy in the sewers of Paris, he finds himself ideally situated beneath a restaurant made famous by his culinary hero, Auguste Gusteau. Despite the apparent dangers of being an unlikely - and certainly unwanted - visitor in the kitchen of a fine French restaurant, Remy's passion for cooking soon sets into motion a hilarious and exciting rat race that turns the culinary world of Paris upside down.

Remy finds himself torn between his calling and passion in life or returning forever to his previous existence as a rat. He learns the truth about friendship, family and having no choice but to be who he really is, a rat who wants to be a chef. Directed by Academy Award™-winning Brad Bird ("The Incredibles") and co-directed by Academy Award™-winning Jan Pinkava ("Geri's Game"), RATATOUILLE is slated for release on June 29, 2007.

Pixar always does a great job at selecting voice talent

At first I couldn't believe that critics were discussing an animated film as a candidate for a possible ,"Best Picture," Academy Award. Moments ago I finished watching the DVD and...it took my breath away...it was so good - in EVERY respect. Orson Wells would have been proud to move a camera around a screen as did the creators of this heartwarming allegorical tale did...

BRAVO!!, Pixar.
