The Audies, are taking place in New York City this Friday June 1st, 2007, acknowledging literally hundreds of people in the audio book industry.

The red carpet will roll out this Friday evening at the Rainbow Room in New York for the Audie Awards, affectionately known as simply "The AudiesÂ®".
As cited on AudioPub.com, The AudiesÂ® is the only awards program in the United States entirely devoted to recognizing distinction in audiobooks and spoken word entertainment. This year, more than 700 entries were submitted for consideration for these prestigious awards.
