Every so often I ask you about what you would like to see here on VOX Daily.
The last time I asked, there were some great suggestions that I implemented through VOX Daily itself as well as have addressed through Voice Over Times.
Today, I'd like to let you in on some ideas I've been mulling over with regard to how my schedule and the content on VOX Daily is organized each day.
For those of you who blog, you know that coming up with something on a regular basis for your readers is a challenge in itself, let alone the writing that goes into it.
Today I'd like to throw a few questions out to you that I've pondered over the last several days.
1. VOX Daily Themes
What would you think if VOX Daily featured a different subject pertaining to voice overs each day of the week? Let's say for example, Mondays were "Business" days, Tuesdays covered elements of "Technology", and so on.
Does that kind of structure appeal to you as a reader or do you like the random creativity that is currently gracing the blog?
2. Voice Over Workshop Postings
How do you feel about the number of voice over workshops that are posted on the blog? I haven't received any negative feedback about posting classes, however, I struggle with how to present the classes to you and wonder if you appreciate seeing them on the blog or if you perceive them as advertisements.
To be absolutely clear, I do not receive any compensation for posting about workshops or conducting reviews. I regard it as a public service for the voice over community.
In former years, I posted a summary of classes on a monthly basis but sometime in 2007 I began posting articles about individual workshop opportunities.
Have these individual postings on VOX Daily influenced you one way or the other to attend a given workshop?
3. Do you read Voice Over Times?
This is more of a curiosity than anything, but do you also read Voice Over Times to get industry news? Voice Over Times is the news website of the voice over industry and it covers breaking stories about voice acting and voice actors. In the future, I am going to be writing less "news" on VOX Daily and be focusing in on tutorials, editorials, interviews and the like.
Do you have any comments about what I've written or about what you would like to see?
