Want to play pretend?
This November, Richard Horvitz, voice actor on hit shows such as The Angry Beavers (Daggett), Invader Zim (Zim), the Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy (Billy), Ben Ten (Grey Matter) and many, many more is scheduled to bring his animation voice acting weekend workshop to Dallas, TX!
Dallas-based voice actress Mary Morgan has been working together with Michelle Ann Dunphy to organize this excellent opportunity for Texas-based talent to train with Richard Horvitz.
If you're not in Dallas but feel you could benefit from the teachings of one of today's great character voice instructors, get yourself to the workshop... but first learn more at VOX Daily!
Richard Horvitz helps his students learn to "play pretend" and to approach their copy in a fun and more instinctive way. He has been teaching privately for 10 years, as well as having taught voice over for animation at Cal State Northridge. Class sizes are limited to ensure intimacy and that everyone gets adequate time at the mic, a very important aspect of any voice acting workshop and educational experience.
The workshop will run Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with an hour for lunch each day. The total cost is $600 for both days. A non-refundable deposit of $150 is required to secure your place in class.
There are still some spots remaining, available on a first come first served basis.
To sign up, send an email to richardhorvitzclasses@gmail.com with the subject line indicating your name and the class you'd like to sign up for. For example, if you want to take the Dallas class, your subject line would be "YOUR NAME - DALLAS WORKSHOP".
Please include in the body of the email the following information:
- Class you want to take
- Name
- Phone
- Email
- Voice over experience?
- Website address, if you have one
Once your information is received, you will receive a reply with information on where to send your payment via PayPal and other pertinent class information.
We look forward to playing pretend with you soon!
Thank you,
Michelle Ann Dunphy

Hi everyone,
I just got a message from Michelle and unfortunately, Richard has had to cancel all of his 2009 weekend workshops due to the fortunate opportunity of being cast in a play.
The remaining Los Angeles weekend workshop will still run, however, the others will not.
Thank you to those who showed interest.
Best wishes,
Stephanie
