In today's VOX Daily, I have a Public Service Announcement to share with you as well as an opportunity to help put a smile on the face of a sick child in hospital this year during the holiday season.
December happens to be a month of celebrating for a number of faiths, and the Holiday Magic 2009 CD project aims to entertain all children with fun, seasonal stories that they can listen to during their hospital stay at this special time of year.
Jeff sent me some information on how you can get involved and I've posted it here on VOX Daily. Learn more now!
Ever heard of "Holiday Magic?"
The brainchild of voice talent Jeff Gelder, owner of Gelderhead Productions, Holiday Magic CDs are distributed to help brighten the holidays for sick children spending the season at Children's Hospitals, and also to engage their siblings who often feel lonely due to the other child requiring more attention from their parents.
Last year 1500 copies of the CD were delivered to Children's Hospitals in 8 cities in the U.S. that were thrilled to have the recordings to distribute to their patients, including San Diego, Orange County, Milwaukee, New York, Miami, New Orleans, Houston and Albuquerque for the children spending their holidays in the hospital, and their siblings.
GelderHead Productions is now accepting submissions for the seventh edition CD of "Holiday Magic, A Gift for Children of all Ages," a special recording to brighten the holidays of the children and their siblings at children's hospitals across the United States in December.
This is the seventh annual compilation CD for Holiday Magic and Jeff Gelder needs your help!
The tale is weaved by Jeffrey the surfer reindeer and Santa Claus as they make their way from the North Pole to visit the children. In 2005 we met Jeffrey's cousin Carlito who lives at the Wild Animal Park. In 2006 we met Kate the adventurous teenage reindeer from Milwaukee. In 2007 it was Peeschwank the Porcupine from New Orleans and last year Rudolph, Donner and Blitzen joined the cast. The talent last year was once again remarkable!
Jeff asks that you please submit a song, story, riddle or rhyme, anything that welcomes Holiday time! From what I gather, these CDs will be available to children of all faith backgrounds. Make it less than four minutes, and send it on CD or e-mail a wav, aif or MP3 file. Character voices are encouraged.
All entries must be complete and fully recorded for use. The top 15-20 will be selected based on creativity, generosity and theme and will receive artist exposure, be included on the CD with acknowledgments, receive a copy of the CD and receive the "GelderHead Award of Excellence for Creativity and Generosity."
Deadline for submissions is Friday October 16, 2009

Jeff thanks you in advance for your generous contributions! If you were on one of the last six Holiday Magic CDs he hopes you'll consider sending something again this year.
The goal is to produce and deliver a minimum of 1500 copies this year to be delivered in December. He asks that you consider donating $50 or as much as possible. No amount is too big or too small. Your gift is appreciated immensely!
