The 2010 Redesign has two main purposes: to improve the speed of the website and improve the usability of the website.
First up, improving the speed and responsiveness of the website. This means faster page load times which can be accomplished by cleaner code, less graphics and a more streamlined look that is faster for the web browsers and mobile browsers to display.
Second, Voices.com aims to improve the usability of the website. Usability is a quality attribute that assesses just how easy user interfaces are to use. The word "usability" also refers to methods for improving ease-of-use during the design process.
Before revealing the new look, know that you can sign up as a beta tester by leaving a comment below. Here we go...
New Look to the Profile Pages

A streamlined look makes it simple for clients to navigate to the various sections of your profile.
Pick a Color Theme for Your Profile

You'll have the opportunity to choose the color the matches your personal brand. Upload a logo, headshot or other images too so that you'll give prospective customers a consistent look-and-feel when visiting your profile on Voices.com.
My Account Page with Key Statistics

Key statistics such as demos uploaded, the number of times those demos have been listened to and the number of jobs currently being worked on are all displayed clearly. You'll note that quick links help voice talent find voice over work online, specifically the ability to "Reply to Jobs," "Update My Profile" and "Add a New Demo." We've also included a link to the "Help and Training" section where voice talent can access helpful resources such as blogs, podcasts and other tutorials.
View All Jobs On One Page

Voice talent can easily view all the jobs they are qualified for on a single page. The paper clip icon indicates that a script is attached, helping voice talent prioritize those jobs that require a custom audition. A new tab called "Awarded" is a single spot where you go to negotiate the deal, confirm payment and upload your files.
View Job Posting Details

Voice talent can see all the details as well as tools for seeing the current status of the job, the position of the audition and the total number of people who responded for the job. We will also be displaying the client's feedback rating so that you can see comments left by other voice talent who have worked with that client in the past.
View Payment Details from Secure SurePay Transactions

After the payment has been received, voice talent are notified by email and can start the recording.
Upload Files at Voices.com To Deliver the Work

Once the recording is done, simply upload your work to Voices.com and the client will download the files. Voice talent are paid by Voices.com for completed work by either PayPal or check depending on your preference as selected in your profile.

I would love to be a Beta tester....an "Alpha" tester would be even better!!!

This looks brilliant! I especially like the feature of the paper clip denoting where custom auddies are required. This can help us prioritize auditions, and if we've only a time for a short voices.com session, we can look at those where custom auddies are not required, and go back to the others later.
Like the colours feature as well.
looking good...
Stefania
:D

When can we start getting invites to the Beta testing David?
It looks like it is going to be a great, can't wait to test it out. I am a beta tester for Google, so know the score ;)

Hi David,
I would love to be a Beta Tester. Some of the changes you are talking about sound great, but there are still a few that I, as a voice talent would love to have.
On the job posting details page please give a number of auditions submitted and auditions reviewed.
Plus, why do we have to download a script as a doc or text file if we are only submitting 20 or 30 seconds worth? Can't we see the script sample on the Jobs Detail page?
I've got to go through 2 different pages and download a script just to see if the spot is "right" to audition for.
I don't need all the confirmation popups to delete a job either.
And one last note, I submitted these points and others to your feedback section and this is what I received:
"Thank you for submitting your question to us online. Case # 00037903: "Website" has been created and a member of the Voices.com Customer Care team will get back to you within 2 business days unless we're experiencing higher than normal volume."
I received this on Feb 6th and have yet to get any feedback--
Alex

Please sign me up as a beta tester. I would also like to see how many auditions have been submitted already. Perhaps the language column could be abbreviated (Eng. (No. Am.)) to make room on the page if space is a concern. I don't think we need that spelled out as thoroughly as it is now. One other note, If there was a way we could sort the jobs in different ways to prioritize them the way we personally find most helpful. Thanks!

Call me mister beta! Or mister tester....call me anything you want to call me, but i'm up for trying it out!

I'd be happy to Beta test - thank you!

I love a good beta test... I'm in!

Looks like I'm coming a little late to the party, but I'd love to beta test, as well!

Oooh! I think you guys read my mind with some of the website changes to make it more streamlined when going through a rack of auditions. I'd love to beta, sign me up!

If there are still slots open for the beta test, I'd love to be added to the list. Thanks!

What you've got now is so solid, I can't wait to see the next generation.

Great stuff David! I would be willing to help test if needed.

I would love to beta test the site.
I would also like to request a feature. Is there a way to mark a job that you have "answered", into "taken" (or some other word to indicate that it's been given to another voice talent) so that you no longer are wondering if you might still hear from someone about the job?
Thanks.
