We're excited to announce a number of cities we are planning events in throughout the course of 2010.

Bringing the Voice Over Community Together
September 3rd 2009 marked the very first Voices.com Mixer in Los Angeles and since then, we've committed to visiting one host city per month to bring the local voice over community together for evenings of fun, networking, answering your questions and more!
Other cities that have played host to mixers thus far are Toronto (twice) and Dallas.

Start Spreading the News...
On the evening of Saturday March 27th, 2010 there will be a Voices.com Mixer in New York City! You'll receive an invitation to the mixer in the near future that includes more details. For now, I can share that the mixer will be in Manhattan and we're excited to welcome both local talent and industry professionals as well as those of you who may want to drive into the city or fly in from neighboring states and or Canadian provinces.

The dates for future mixers aside from NYC have not yet been finalized but there will be more information in the near future so that you can plan ahead.
Also, there a number of surprises in store for host cities going forward in April that I'll detail in later postings!

The Voices.com mixers are free to attend and we try our best to secure venues that don't have any cover charges. Costs for you personally may include transportation, food and drink.

As I’m in the Washington Puget Sound area, I’d be absolutely THRILLED to see you in Vancouver, B.C.
As an f.y.i. for this event, the city typically hosts an international fireworks festival @ the end of July. For many years my husband and I have spent our anniversary weekend (July 28th) in Vancouver and toasted our special day with this incredible evening extravaganza. We stay at the Blue Horizon on Robson – no need for a car as you’re in walking distance from Stanley Park where the festival is held, and of course your choice of many, many awesome places to dine or enjoy good jazz . . .

I am glad that you like what we are doing.
The mixers have been wonderful events where we can serve others. Although not a new idea (bringing people together), we wanted to put our own spin on what it means to us and our community and use the opportunities presented to answer any questions you might have and bring people together around the common bond of voice over and their memberships at Voices.com.
Going out into the world and meeting our customers where they are is very enjoyable for us. Thank you for your support!

I didn't realize there were so many voices.com members who were also in the Atlanta area.
Stephanie, I'd be glad to assist with the Atlanta mixer. I already have a networking group in place to help get the word out. "Viva VO Atlanta!" on VoiceoverUniverse.com and Facebook. We have around 30+ members combined between the two.
Please let me know when you have a date in mind and I'll help spread the word.
I'm planning a 2nd annual dinner event through the ATL group Labor Day weekend during Dragon*Con with some "special guests", so I hope that's nowhere near any target date you had for the Atlanta mixer.

You should do one in Philadelphia. It's a great city for VO work. There are a number of excellent studios and casting directors that I'm sure would like to participate, not to mention the very active community of professional actors.
