The event is being held on May 8, 2010 at the Convergence Centre in the UWO Research Park in London, Ontario Canada.

In addition to Voices.com's sponsorship of the event, I will be speaking and facilitating a masterclass style session for podcasters who want to improve their vocal performance and creative interpretation skills.

Find out more in today's VOX Daily.

Voices.com and PodCamp London

As referred to in the beginning of this article, Voices.com will be presenting at PodCamp London (Twitter hashtag #pclo10) for the second year running. Last year, David presented on the topic of search engine optimization and I gave a presentation on how to prepare your voice before making a podcast recording. Here's a link where you can watch the presentation on How to Prepare Your Voice.

While that was fun, I thought we'd mix things up a bit and do more of a workshop type session where people can volunteer to read from their script, receive direction and gain feedback.

Here's a description of the session Voices.com is presenting this year.

Masterclass : Discovering and Refining Your Podcasting Style

Want to raise your game? Interested in feedback on your podcasting style? During this interactive session, you will learn about your voice, how to use it effectively and be directed by one of the most sought after set of ears in the voice over industry. Bring your podcast script and deliver a performance you won't forget masterclass style at PodCamp London 2010 with Voices.com.

How To Participate

Even if you can't be present for the live event, there will be streaming videos shown that cover each session live on the web. As in the past, recordings will be made available at a future date.

For those who are able to come in person, please be sure to bring your podcast script, a pencil and have your voice warmed up prior to the session. If at all possible, please let me know ahead of time that you want to participate in the masterclass as a performer so that I can slot you in as we only have about 30-45 minutes of session time.

Would you please clarify how to access the streaming video since I won't be able to attend in person?
    Thank you.

      Hi Bonnie,

      Thanks for asking!

The PodCamp London site should have the streaming video running live on the day of the event. Visit the official site for more information:

      http://www.podcamplondon.com

If you were to click on "Sessions" you'll find more information. From what I understand, an upcoming blog post by their team will address viewing sessions online.

      Best wishes,

      Stephanie
