  • ...thanks, Bobbin, for your professional insight, encouragement and empowerment. Any one of these 'nuggets' is a springboard to a deeper, more satisfying career. Ok--gotta go...gotta update my demos...

      • Hi, Bobbin.

Great motivational pod, thank you, and that energy comes through on your web demos, including the on-holds! Stephanie asks what are others doing? Here - recording eight new demos for the Voices.com site, getting ready to talk with the new Kelly Matthews, booking more coaching... and seeing friends face to face because this can so easily become a solitary profession.

Anyone read E.M. Forster, The Machine Stops?

        • Relaxing? What is THAT?? lol. Advantages to having a home studio are ...sleep in, no rush hour traffic, run errands when we wish.

Disadvantage: The office is so close and there is always so much to do. Resulting in us working alllll the time!!!! looking forward to listening to this.

          • Great Podcast!
I have been writing out my goals, and I'm making a vision board as we speak. Already made a date to clean my apartment/studio. Definitely grateful for everything. Should update the demo tho....
2011 will be the best year yet! Bring it on:)

            • Thanks, Bobbin for laying it all out there!
Good solid advice for us all.
I always hate the term "New Years resolution."
I like to just lay out some obtainable "goals"... and maybe some not so easily obtainable but well worth trying. I may not reach them all next year but they'll carry over to the following year with a positive outlook toward them.

Your message will help keep me organized! I always need some help with that!

              Happy Holidays!

              • Wife and daughter on a quick jaunt to Barcelona, I grabbed the bachelor-and-baked-beans time here in UK to put together fresh demos for Voices.com using my nice new Twisted Wave editing software. Bug-eyed, but it's done, done! Before a Job comes through this evening, I'd better feed the cat and Hoover the house.
