Woman singing into a microphone in a recording studioDo you love talking about audio recording equipment and recording software?

Does writing reviews of the equipment you use interest you?

We're running a contest giving you the opportunity to submit a review on any piece of audio recording gear or software that you own with a chance to win a great prize that will last you a whole year long.

What's all involved? Find out more in today's VOX Daily!

Got Gear?

If there's one thing voice talent like to talk about aside from voice acting, it's their recording studio, equipment and software.

And, if there's one thing many talent enjoy hearing of aside from the art and business of voice acting, it's learning about the different kinds of microphones, software packages, preamps, mixers and so on it's how they work and if they are a good investment.

Short of going to audio recording school, working at Sweetwater Sound or being raised in either of Dan Lenard's or George Whittam's homes, this sort of information is difficult to find in all in one place and in text format.

That being said, Voices.com is in the midst of building a more comprehensive resource on our site to provide audio producers with relevant information about audio recording technology products that are found on the market...and we're asking for your help!

The Contest

To enter the contest, all you need to do is submit a review. I'll get to that in a minute but first, we'll talk about the prize!

The writer of the winning entry will receive:

๏ 1-year Premium membership (valued at $299 USD)
๏ Their review featured on VOX Daily complete with links to their website
๏ A press release
๏ Social media distribution

All other entries

All entries submitted will be considered for publication on a new blog we are working on in step with building up a resource for audio producers to benefit by.

Reviews published to this blog will link to the contributor's Voices.com profile, website and receive distribution via select Voices.com social media channels. Even if you don't win the prize, just entering can result in some great exposure and publicity for you!

What Can You Review?

Reviews could feature your:

๏ Microphone
๏ Recording software
๏ Preamp
๏ Mixer
๏ Studio monitors
๏ Computer
๏ Microphone stand or shockmount
๏ Portable recorder
๏ and so on!

Let us know about the specific product, how it's worked for you and if you would recommend it to others.

Reviews should fall within the 250-500 word range and be submitted in a .doc or .docx file.

How To Enter

Send your review to stephanie@voices.com. The contest deadline is September 9th, 2011 and the winner will be announced on Monday September 12th, 2011. The winner can request activation of their free Premium membership subscription at a time of their choosing within the next 365 days.

Looking forward to receiving your entries!

Best wishes,

Stephanie
