How did you mark 12-12-12?
For those of us in the voice-over business, 12-12-12 reads like a sound check. In the spirit of leveraging the coolness that is 12-12-12, I thought it would be interesting to see how voice actors around the world celebrated the occasion, one that will ne'er repeat itself.
See what your friends, including Tami Romani (pictured at left) have been up to in today's VOX Daily.
December 12, 2012 is a one-of-a-kind date. Not only is it pretty awesome, we'll never see another date like it. In fact, it is the last repetitive date you will ever see! The numbers also remind us VO folk of sound checks. Does "check 1-2 1-2 1-2" ring any bells for you?
Here's a glimpse into a number of studios that marked the occasion in a special way by participating in this once in a lifetime post.
"Just so happens today is my birthday...and I'm marking it voicing a spot for a hospital, a wine store, and later on it'll be voicing a bunch of on hold messages." - Jim Feldman

Tom Moog sent in a photograph from his studio as well to join the party.

Some members of the team at Voices.com came together in our studio to join in the festivities.

"I have already had such a great day. I attended a breakfast meetup in downtown LA and had a lovely breakfast with a 54th floor view, heard an inspiring speaker and made some great new connections! I'm back home now, out of the business suit and into my cozy sweater and jeans - ready to check Voices.com for the latest auditions coming in!" - Tami Romani

Never a dull moment in Markham Anderson's studio!

This dog knows how to direct! David Kaplan and his dog Skye grace the blog on this historic day, 12-12-12.

A special thanks to Dave Fennoy for sharing this 12-12-12 picture featuring a great group of voices at Mattel Children's Hospital who read "Twas The Night Before Christmas" to the precious kids staying there during the holidays. See anyone you know?

Be sure to comment and let me know!
Best wishes,
Stephanie
