The voice is a multifaceted instrument. You can do so much with it from singing to voice acting to speaking in general. Regardless of where you come from, your background or voice type, the availability of roles and variety of genres for voice work is astounding. In voice-over, you are only limited by what you can imagine.

About Brenda Robinson
Brenda Robinson is a voice-artist who does several types of voice projects including narration for audio books, documentaries, relaxation for meditation and guided imagery, commercial spots for television and radio, character animation as well as singing for jingles. As a singer, she has studied Broadway, Opera and Pop. She has sung with entertainment groups around Utah and for two years was a member of Sweet Adeline's Mountain Jubilee Chorus.

Hi Stephanie,
I figured out that I wanted to be a voice actor when I was told many times throughout my life that I had a great voice. I unconditionally accepted to a Radio Show workshop in my early 20's, took a brief voice over class in Hollywood some years ago and recently I listened an audio book and thought to myself, wow that narrator has a good voice, but she sounds so scripted and mechanical. Certainly I could do a much better job than that.
If I studied voice over, audio books is where I'd love to work.
