Are you ready to rock, Toronto?
Voices.com is launching our first VoiceWorld Conference in the city of Toronto, Ontario Canada!
We're excited to share this news with you now as we start looking forward to what 2013 will bring for our community at Voices.com and the industry in general.
Learn more about the conference, who the speakers are, our cool industry mixer and how you can get involved in today's VOX Daily.
The seed for VoiceWorld Toronto has been germinating since 2008 when we first considered what it might be like for us to put on a conference. Nearly five years later, we're pleased to announce that Voices.com will be presenting a voice acting conference in our home country of Canada in the beautiful, historic and artistic metropolis of Toronto, Ontario.
VoiceWorld Toronto will be an exciting time of growing in all facets of your voice acting career including areas of performance, technological skill and business.
The keynote speaker for VoiceWorld Toronto 2013 is Pat Fraley, a man who needs no introduction and whose voices are known around the world. We're thrilled that Pat will be flying up and over to Toronto from Los Angeles to show us Canadians a thing or two about the kinds of opportunities we have to succeed in the global marketplace.
David Ciccarelli, CEO of Voices.com, will kick the day off and help us to imagine the future of the voice-over industry.
Master teachers Deb Munro and Elley-Ray Hennessey are presenting the main afternoon session. The double divas will treat you to an experience you won't forget circling around taking risks in your auditions among other aspects of your career that will boost your business and expand your opportunities.
There will be a number of breakout sessions as well that touch on a variety of topics and areas of expertise. We're pleased to share that Dan Lenard will be joining us for some Tech Talk, Sunday Muse will help us get into character and Dave McRae will show you how to properly get to know your own voice, what a good, solid and professional demo should sound like and to how utilize your voice to help bring your "voice" and voice over career to the next level.
Wayne Young will school us on sound design and the opportunities for your home recording studio. I (Stephanie Ciccarelli) will also be leading a breakout session discussing how voice talent can get publicity and make connections with people outside of the voice acting business with the goal of getting your name in print and more links to your website.
Tickets officially went on sale today! Tickets are $159.00 up until December 31, 2012. You can save $100 off the full conference pass by taking advantage of the Super Early Bird pricing now. Visit the link below for more details:
There is also an industry mixer the night before the conference. This mixer takes place on Friday May 3rd. You can learn more about this here:
Looking forward to hearing from you!
