Facebook logo on Mac - 320.jpgYou know the drill about Facebook at the office: Don't do it.

Many companies have a no-Facebook rule for their employees, hoping to prevent them from endlessly sifting through their timelines, watching countless cat videos, and playing Candy Crush like there's no tomorrow.

That old assumption may need a re-think as reports that Facebook is working on a business-specific offering, called Facebook at Work, have emerged. Read on for more details on how this could make online life for voice professionals that much easier.

Ello logo - 320.pngEllo is the hottest thing to hit social media since Facebook first made it a reality for most of us. It's so popular that mere mortals can't even get in: They have to wait for an invitation.

In this first of an occasional series examining how voice over talent can best use social media platforms and tools to grow their business, we'll discuss why Ello stands out, and why it's a long way away from threatening established services like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

If you're still on the fence over Ello, read on for some timely advice.
